Mother's Visit

As I arrived at my girlfriend's apartment I noticed that it was wide open. To be honest this wasn't the first time this happened and it's very dangerous to leave it open to the public like that. Who knows if someone with bad intentions goes in?

As I made up my mind to remind her that it's dangerous to leave your door open like that, suddenly I noticed something odd.

I could hear an unfamiliar voice talking inside Baek-Soon's apartment. It was the voice of a woman.

Curious, I went inside to check and I saw my girlfriend on her knees looking pitiful.

"Honestly! I don't even know what to say about your lifestyle, if you continue living like this your life would be miserable! No man would want you like this, sigh* it seems my dream of having grandchildren is getting further away from my grasp.. could I even have grandchildren in this lifetime..?" A woman who looked at least 80% similar to The Baek-Soon said with disappointment.

If it wasn't obvious already, this person is most likely her mother, as she was about to continue to scold my girlfriend, she realized my presence in the room.

Her mom stared at my face, dumbfounded that there's another person beside them.

The timing of my arrival couldn't be worse, I smiled at her awkwardly, not expecting this meeting at all. "Sorry for interrupting your session."

That's the only thing I could say in this awkward situation.

And finally her mother snapped out of it and gave her daughter a questioning look, then a look of realization appeared in her face and instantly became hopeful as if the future was as bright as it could be.

"Ah! Could you possibly be my daughter's boyfriend..?" The excitement was radiating from her body; anyone with a working pair of eyes could see that.

There was no reason for me to refute the truth as I am indeed her boyfriend.

"That's right ma'am, I'm your daughter's boyfriend. I've been dating her for months now and I thought you'd known about it already.." 

Hearing those words, her face started beaming, but then she heard the last few words and her face became ugly and glared at her daughter's form, who flinched at her almost murderous eyes.

"Yes, of course it should be given that she, my daughter, should have informed me about something important such as this!" Her glare was becoming more intense as the time went by.

If her gaze was a laser, my girlfriend would have been nothing but dust scattered around the room.

But then her attitude turned completely opposite as her attention went back to me and was smiling happily. "Oh, where are my manners? As you already know I am this girl's mother. Due to my daughter forgetting to tell me about you, forgive me for not preparing anything right now, in fact I should cook something for you right now."

"Ah, ma'am there's no need to-" I was about to refuse. I was cut off by my girlfriend's mother.

"There's no need for formalities between families, you can call me mother or mom." The old lady is very eager to become my mother-in-law.

That's way too fast! 

"Well, I should stick with calling you aunt for now.." 

The middle aged lady looked a bit disappointed by that, however it didn't take her long to recover then she glared back at her daughter and said. "You, be presentable, change your clothes, you shouldn't be looking like a dumpster princess in front of my son-in-law!"

This lady is way too eager for her daughter to be married off to me.

And so for the next few hours was a special kind of hell for my girlfriend Baek-Soon.

After a few hours, my girlfriend's mother left although she's very reluctant and wanted to get to know me more, who she already thought of as her son-in-law.

I have a feeling that she'd be visiting us frequently from now on.

Now looking at my girlfriend who was literally dead on the inside, I couldn't help but comment. "Your mother's very nice."

Hearing that she let out a hard groan and said, "This is why I never told her about you, this is frustrating! Ughhhh! I can't! I need to relieve some stress! I'm on my period right now, let's do it raw!" 

And without a warning I was dragged away from my spot and was shoveled directly at the futon below.

Like I predicted before, she often visited her daughter's, apparently thanks to me, her monthly visits now turned into once every few days.

'What the fuck?! Isn't this place supposed to be one of the safest countries in the world?! Why?! Why is this happening again?!'

While I was rooted in my spot due to the phobia I developed years ago thanks to the outbreak.

And so, monsters started showing up one by one, by the looks of it they weren't exactly massive like the ones before.

Looking at the monsters that came out from a dungeon break in this area, their height was less than a half of mine.

Realizing that this was just a weak type of outbreak, I immediately regained my bearings as this kind of outbreak was something I could survive without getting lucky and with just a minimal effort I could get away from this hellhole.

And when I was about to get away from this place, unexpectedly a goblin with a short-sword appeared behind me. Thanks to the noise it made I was about to dodge its incoming attack.

"Fuck..!" Although it wasn't as fast as me, it's small size was the problem, it was nimble.

There were a few instances that I almost got stabbed by this little devil. I knew very well that I could dodge forever but I was unlucky as I fell into the ground as my feet struck at the unseemly rabble behind me.

As I fell into the ground, the goblin revealed a flash of smile, it wasn't a smile that you'd expect. It was a smile filled with mockery as if it mocked how pathetic I am right.

At that very moment, something snap inside of me and I didn't even realize that I screamed, instead of dodging incoming slash from the goblin's sword I used my bare body as a meat shield as the short-sword was stuck in my body I didn't hesitate and throw a punch at the goblin's face.

After that I have no clear memory of what happened but I knew at that moment my knuckles felt the flesh of the creature.

And when I regained the semblance of consciousness I was already looking at the goblin beneath me with its face disfigured beyond belief.

Even mash potatoes were more recognizable by a long mark.

Then I saw something was stuck in my knuckles. It was a small red looking ruby with a size comparable to a grain of rice.

Then something was transmitted directly into my brain.

[ Complete! ]
