The Fire Thief's Fury

The Discord Titan Nikador, although no match for the Flame Reaver, possessed immortality and could put up a good fight against him.

Derick controlled the avatar, running towards the depths of Castrum Kremnos.

After running some distance, he saw a figure rapidly approaching from behind.

It was the Flame Reaver.

He's so fast. Were those Condemnation Vanguards blocking him all dealt with?

Thinking of this, Derick felt a pang of heartache.

So many Condemnation Vanguards... after escaping the Flame Reaver, would he even have a chance to come back and devour them?

Leaving them there untouched would be such a waste.

Pity, heartache, but it didn't hinder his escape. Derick didn't want to experience trying to figure out how to break free after his avatar was sealed. He didn't like playing escape room games.

The Flame Reaver closed the distance further.

Derick thought, at this speed, he would soon be caught. Looking around, he noticed quite a few Condemnation Gladiators and Condemnation Hunters nearby.

Alright, off you go.

He immediately gave them an order, sending them to intercept the Flame Reaver.

The Flame Reaver himself felt he was about to catch up to that black fellow. But at this moment, another pile of Condemnation Vanguards suddenly appeared to block his path.

How does it do it? Do these minions of Nikador just mindlessly protect it like this?

The Flame Reaver quickly swung his weapon, wiping out these Condemnation Hunters.

This process only took a few seconds. But in those few seconds, Derick's avatar had already run much farther away.

Still have to chase.

The Flame Reaver's anger rose, and he pursued Derick's avatar even faster.

He didn't even bother going around the walls ahead, simply smashing straight through them, leaving a huge human-shaped hole.

Whether for my goal or to vent today's anger, I absolutely must kill... no, seal you up.

The Flame Reaver thought to himself.

Continuing to charge forward, a powerful aura descended from the sky at this moment.

Much stronger than those easily dispatched Condemnation Gladiators.

The Flame Reaver raised his black blade, blocking the descending spear. Looking up, the Flame Reaver discovered it was actually an avatar of Nikador.

At this moment, it swung its spear, attacking the Flame Reaver.

Derick, watching from afar, was overjoyed.

He had been controlling his avatar, fleeing into the depths of Castrum Kremnos. Just as he was wondering how to delay the Flame Reaver a little longer, he unexpectedly found an avatar of Nikador.

Nikador's avatar naturally wouldn't be controlled by Derick's avatar's ability.

After all, Derick had only devoured one of Nikador's avatars; their relationship could be considered equal. However, the Nikador aura inherent in Derick's avatar made this Nikador avatar feel a bit closer.

This pitch-black fellow should be one of us.

Nikador's avatar didn't possess much wisdom, acting only on instinct. Since Derick's avatar carried Nikador's aura, it was considered one of its own.

And at this moment, the Flame Reaver charged over. Seeing this, the Nikador avatar confirmed only one thing.

This one is coming to attack us, must kill him.

Thus, this Nikador avatar charged towards the Flame Reaver and attacked him.

Seeing this situation, the Flame Reaver almost laughed in anger.

I saw that big black fellow when it was weak; it had absolutely nothing to do with the Discord Titan. Yet somehow, it acquired Nikador's aura and could even control those Condemnation Gladiators. And you, you brainless thing, are actually willing to take the hit for it.

Unfortunately, the Nikador avatar couldn't hear the Flame Reaver's explanation, only knowing to thrust its spear relentlessly.

"Since that's the case, I'll finish you off first."

Seeing the Nikador avatar blocking him like this, the Flame Reaver held nothing back and began unleashing his full power against the Nikador avatar.

Derick cast a respectful glance at the Nikador avatar, then turned and ran towards the depths of Castrum Kremnos without looking back. If Nikador's avatar was this useful, what would happen when Nikador's main body fought the Flame Reaver later?

...

The Flame Reaver's series of actions finally caught Cipher's attention.

The violent tremors caused quite a bit of rubble and dirt from the nearby walls to fall onto their tent.

"What on earth happened?" Cipher opened her eyes. At this moment, she couldn't care less about the cold outside, leaped out of the sleeping bag, warily scanning the surroundings, while simultaneously reaching out to protect Derick.

"I don't know." Derick shook his head, showing a pure and innocent expression.

Cipher closed her eyes, sensing the intensity of the explosive attacks.

"This level... absolutely Titan-level, no doubt. This place, is the Discord Titan up to something?"

She frowned tightly, looked at Derick, then at the location of the explosions, a conflicted expression in her eyes.

"Forget it, forget it, curiosity killed the cat, as they say. Besides, I'm not going to fight a Titan, just take a look, shouldn't be a big deal."

Muttering this to herself, she then reached out and pulled Derick out of the sleeping bag.

"Cipher, what are you doing?" Derick asked Cipher.

"Derick, stay close to me later," Cipher replied to Derick. "Don't even think about running off, this isn't a game right now. If you're not by my side, wandering around alone, I won't be able to save you in time."

She produced a cloak from somewhere and tossed it to Derick.

"Here, put it on, don't freeze."

Derick took the cloak and put it on, then continued asking Cipher, "Cipher, are we escaping?"

Cipher wagged a finger slightly, "Escape? Although I really want to. But I'm also curious to see what's happening inside Castrum Kremnos. If some Titan is acting up, I can go blackmail that tailor woman back in Okhema."

After saying this, she added another sentence to Derick.

"Don't worry, if we really encounter mortal danger, my escape speed is very fast. Carrying you, we can run straight back to Okhema."

"Mm." Derick nodded.

The two then walked out of the tent.

After stepping out, Cipher patted Derick's shoulder.

"Derick..."

"What else... Hey hey hey, Cipher, what are you doing picking me up!?"

Derick looked in horror as Cipher picked him up.
