Forcing Out the Sky Titan, Aquila

Derick and the others were unaware of the battle that had taken place below.

Riding on Polyxia, they arrived at the Eye of Twilight.

Hyacine had been pressed against Derick's chest the entire way. As soon as they landed, her legs still felt a bit weak. When she stepped onto the ground, she stumbled forward a couple of times.

"Hyacine, are you alright?" Castorice steadied her, asking with concern.

Although she had seen what happened, she didn't take it too much to heart. Hyacine was a bit less nimble than the rest of them. Could she really let the poor little Hyacine fall just because of jealousy? That wasn't in her character.

But she wasn't entirely confident in that.

While leaning against Derick's chest, Hyacine couldn't help but think about the teasing words from her ancestors. If the world is saved according to Derry's methods, Amphoreus will continue on. At that time, Hyacine felt, I really do need to consider the continuation of my family line.

Wait, why am I thinking about this?

It's all my grandmother's influence.

Hyacine thought to herself. She curled her toes inside her small leather boots, forcing her attention back to the battle at hand. She looked at the abandoned city before them and said to Derick and the others, "This is the core of the former Sky City. My ancestor, the Sun-ember Knight Seneos, began the crusade against the Sky Titan, Aquila, from here, thus beginning the Flamechase Journey."

"Now that we have come here, we must also bring this journey of salvation to a close," Hyacine declared.

Derick silently took the cloak Krateros had given him and draped it over his back.

"And bring an end to the wars between all the city-states of Amphoreus in the past. In the future, Amphoreus must become a world of eternal peace."

Phainon quipped from the side, "Amphoreus is down to just Castrum Kremnos and Okhema now. Of course, there won't be any more wars."

Derick smiled and said, "After the Black Tide crisis is resolved, do you think only these two cities will be left in Amphoreus? How many people in Okhema are from other city-states? Like you, for example, aren't you from Dolos?"

"A city-state like Dolos is better off not being rebuilt; it's not a good place. But if Derry wants to, I believe Aglaea and Caenis will make it happen." As she spoke, she walked forward.

"So you have no intention of doing it yourself!" Phainon rolled her eyes at Derick.

"I'm only fourteen, how could I have that kind of ability!" Derick said righteously.

After he crossed over, his appearance was that of a thirteen or fourteen-year-old. Even though he had now returned to his eighteen-year-old appearance, it didn't stop him from claiming to be fourteen.

"This… this Dolos bastard is fourteen!?" Phainon couldn't help but shout.

Although she knew that Derick had been a little pretty boy not long ago, seeing him in his handsome youthful form, shamelessly claiming to be fourteen… It really made one want to throw up!

"Don't forget, Derry's age really isn't that great," Hyacine also said with a smile from the side.

This kind of chat did much to dispel the tense atmosphere of the impending battle.

They stepped forward, heading into the depths of the Eye of Twilight.

The figures of the group gradually faded, and even the towering form of Polyxia disappeared into the depths.

Suddenly, the remnant of the Flame-Reaver appeared at the end of the vanishing Rainbow Bridge.

He moved around on it for a moment, then hid in the shadows. Having arrived here in this manner, the Flame-Reaver currently had no combat power. He had to recover before he could go looking for Derick and the others.

As Derick and the others went deeper, their eyes were met with a pitch-black darkness. Fortunately, with their extraordinary strength, it wasn't so dark that they couldn't see their hands in front of their faces.

"It's so dark here. We can't advance rashly in this environment," Castorice said with a frown.

Looking at the device in front of them, Hyacine recalled the history passed down in her clan. She explained to Derick and the others, "Ahead should be the Celestial Tapestry from back then. It's said that the Sky People of that era connected it to the firmament of Amphoreus. The weather displayed here would directly become the weather in reality."

"It's that powerful?" Derick was a bit surprised.

Hyacine continued her introduction, "But that was in the past. Now, the light in Okhema and Castrum Kremnos relies on Kephale's Dawn Machine. Activating the Celestial Tapestry here can only light up the immediate surroundings."

Phainon urged Hyacine, "Then what are you waiting for? Hurry up and light this place up. Otherwise, it's so dark, I'm afraid of falling somewhere if we try to move forward."

Hyacine shook her head helplessly.

"I only know the function of this instrument. I don't know how to use it specifically."

"I see. Then what should we do?" Phainon also began to think.

Derick had never played this part of the game's plot, but based on the situation, he guessed that if this were the game, the Trailblazer and March 7th would reflect a past memory to figure out how to operate the instrument.

Derick didn't have the power of the Titan of Time, so he naturally couldn't do that.

"Then there's only one other way," Derick said softly.

"Derry-boy, you have a way?" Phainon looked at Derick with pleasant surprise.

Derick raised the Lance of Divine Retribution high. The power of the Titan of Discord gathered at the blade's edge and then dispersed into the surroundings.

As it dispersed, Derick didn't forget to shout a curse.

"Aquila, you coward! Weren't you evenly matched with the Titan of Discord back in the day? What? Are you scared now? Are all one hundred of your eyes too afraid to open?"

"The power of Discord has entered your city! And you can only hide, using your feathers and wings to cover your head."

"Instead of continuing to fly in the sky, why don't you just fall to the ground and bury your head in the dirt?"

"Come on, leave now. Hand over the authority of the sky to the Titan of Discord. And then go crawl away and die on your own!"

Derick's curses weren't particularly foul, but they were aimed straight at Aquila's sore spot. He had fought Nikador for so long, and now Derick was using Nikador's energy to provoke him. Could he really endure it?

Especially since most of Aquila's eyes had been blinded by Nikador in their past battles. The hatred between them was immense.

I've provoked you this much, you should give me some kind of reaction.

Derick thought to himself, and then he saw a giant eye appear on the tapestry.

Sensing the aura emanating from that eye, Derick knew this was Aquila.

The eye of Aquila conveyed a furious emotion as it looked at Derick. Then, it released a massive laser beam, attacking him.

Derick was already prepared. He swung the Lance of Divine Retribution in his hand and slashed at the laser beam shot by Aquila. A blade of energy was released from the lance, instantly cutting the laser in half.

Aquila released even more lasers, trying to completely annihilate Derick.

But the energy within Derick's body was now far greater than Aquila's. He channeled the energy of Discord into the Lance of Divine Retribution, which instantly grew into a giant sword over ten meters long. Derick held this giant sword in front of everyone. The lasers shot by Aquila landed on it without creating a single ripple; instead, they were all reflected back.

Seeing this, Aquila's eye quickly moved away, shifting into the distance.

Seeing the situation, Derick immediately shrank the Lance of Divine Retribution and put it away. At the same time, he looked at Polyxia.

"Little sister-in-law!"

In his haste, Derick couldn't be bothered to call Polyxia by her full name.

"Yes!" Polyxia didn't have time to think. Hearing Derick's command, she flapped her wings and began to fly towards the sky.

Derick stepped onto her head.

He looked down and shouted to Castorice, Phainon, and the others, "You all advance slowly! I'll go ahead and catch up to Aquila."

"Be careful!" Castorice shouted up to Derick and Polyxia.

Derick responded, and at the same time, Polyxia, beneath him, increased her speed, flying rapidly in Aquila's direction.

As the former Titan of Death, Polyxia's speed was by no means slow. Standing on her head, Derick could faintly make out Aquila's trail of movement.

Her speed alone was not enough to catch up to Aquila. But Derick was already prepared for this.

While flying, Derick condensed a long spear in his hand.

The Lance of Divine Retribution.

He had been gathering his strength all this time to summon it. This was currently his most powerful attack. Although the preparation time was long, the effect was extremely strong.

He drew back his arm, leaned back, and took on the posture of throwing a spear. Looking at Aquila's eye, Derick threw it with all his might.

The others only saw a golden shooting star heading straight for Aquila's eye.

It hit its mark, dead center.

Aquila's eye was blown into a huge hole.

From a distance, it looked like a small sun.

"Haha, try and run now, you coward!" Seeing the Lance of Divine Retribution hit the eye hard, Phainon clapped her hands and cheered excitedly.

The tapestry then shattered, and Aquila's form appeared before everyone.

Seeing Aquila's form, Phainon couldn't help but say in surprise.

Aquila was the largest of all the Titans. It was once a hundred-eyed giant bird, but now its flesh and blood had disappeared, and its form was pieced together from giant bones. But its size hadn't changed at all. A single wing was much larger than Polyxia in her dragon form.

Derick estimated its size might exceed a hundred meters.

The eye from before was housed in the bone bird's chest cavity. And on that eye, the Lance of Divine Retribution that Derick had thrown was still impaled.
