Chapter 205: Dead Drunk

"Come on, let's go to my place for a drink."

As soon as they left the Hokage building, Kawazaki enthusiastically invited his friends to have a drink.

It was almost lunchtime when Kawaki invited his friends for a drink.

"Let's have some fun together."

Shuomao seemed to be in a good mood and helped with the greetings as well.

Sakumo, seemingly in a good mood, joined the invitation.

Normally he wasn't this enthusiastic—it was only during drinking sessions that he got this lively.

"Alright, I need to head home real quick and bring my wife and kid along."

Dai is actually a good man who doesn't forget his family, even when there's a big meal.

Dai truly was a good man—never forgetting his family, even with a feast ahead.

"Sure, I'll come with you."

Sakumo said and walked off with Dai.

"Me too."

After saying that, Yuumura walked home as well. He had no psychological pressure about having dinner at the Hatake family's house.

Shinryu Yūhi simply said and headed home. Dining at the Hatake household didn't stress him out one bit.

"Don't forget to bring Red too."

"Kakashi hasn't seen her in days."

Chuanfeng didn't forget to give instructions; he really is a good uncle.

Kawaki reminded them, proving himself a thoughtful uncle.

"No worries, my girl has been asking about it too."

Zhen Hong didn't even turn her head, just raised her right hand and waved it dismissively.

Shinryu didn't even look back, simply waving his right hand dismissively.

"Would any of you mind if I bring Pakura?"

Orochimaru waited until there were fewer people around before slowly beginning to speak.

Orochimaru slowly spoke up after most had left.

Fugaku was somewhat surprised—he'd heard Orochimaru had taken the Acting Kazekage home for Kekkei Genkai research, but judging by the gathering, their relationship might run deeper than that.

"Fine by me."

Sichuan Maple finished speaking and looked at Tsunade.

Kawaki replied and glanced toward Tsunade.

"Why are you looking at me?"

"If it makes you happy, I'm fine with it."

Tsunade glared at Kawafuka for a moment, then turned her head and smiled at Orochimaru.

Tsunade shot Kawaki a glare before offering Orochimaru a smile.

"Great. See you later."

Orochimaru slightly smiled, turned around and walked home.

Orochimaru gave a slight smirk and walked home.

"They've all gone. Guess I should head back and pick up Mikoto."

Fuyue smiled helplessly. If he went alone, it would seem a bit out of place.

Fugaku let out a helpless chuckle—it would've felt strange going alone now.

"Haha, go ahead."

I'll wait for you at home.

"I'll wait for you at home."

Chuanfeng patted Fugaku's shoulder and left together with Tsunade.

Kawaki patted Fugaku's shoulder and left with Tsunade.

The two suddenly remembered Nawaki and the others. If they didn't invite them, that little brat would definitely complain later.

Chuan Feng took Tsunade's hand, and the two vanished from the spot.

Kawaki took Tsunade's hand and they vanished on the spot.

When they reappeared, they were again in Tsunade's bedroom.

"Can't you choose a different place?"

"Can't you choose another location?"

Tsunade was a bit speechless. It's not troublesome to leave a mark.

Tsunade sighed inwardly—leaving a marker wouldn't have been that difficult.

"Forgot, forgot."

Kawaki gave an uneasy chuckle and opened the door to leave.

Chuan Feng let out a laugh and pushed the door open to walk out.

As they passed through the living room, Mito happened to catch sight of them.

"Finished the meeting?"

Mito wasn't clueless about what was going on in the village.

"Well, it's just going through the motions."

Kawaki carried on casually.

"Even back then, Sandaime was a good kid."

"It's better this way."

Mito shook her head and sighed.

Mito shook her head with a sigh.

"Let's not talk about this anymore."

He quickly changed the subject:

"Granny, has the wedding date between me and Tsunade been set?"

"How long has it been?"

Chuan Feng changed the subject, and Tsunade also looked at Mito with eager anticipation.

Kawaki shifted topics, and Tsunade eyed Mito expectantly.

"What's the rush? Is Xiaogang going to run away?"

Mito quickly regained her composure, teasing Kawaki with a smile.

"Well, I was just asking casually."

Kawaki scratched his head. Around Mito, he always kept things respectful.

"Grandma~"

Tsunade playfully called out. It wasn't just Kawaki who couldn't resist—Mito struggled too.

"Alright, alright, I'll tell you."

"A month from now is the lucky day I calculated after consulting many masters."

"Just don't you two go messing things up for me."

Mito wasn't really hiding anything—she was just teasing Kawaki, as usual.

Tsunade was already his, and besides, she was looking forward to meeting her great-grandchildren soon.

"Don't worry, Grandma."

This time, Kawaki and Tsunade answered in perfect unison.

"Alright, you're here looking for Nawaki and the others, right?"

"They're at the martial arts training hall."

Mito guessed their intentions immediately—they clearly hadn't come just to see her.

"Hehe~"

"Wanna join us for dinner, Grandma?"

Kawaki didn't even pretend he'd come to see her specifically.

"No thanks. You young folks enjoy yourselves."

Though Mito appeared youthful, age-wise there was a huge gap between them.

"Okay then, we'll head off now."

Before Kawaki could say anything, Tsunade answered and pulled him away.

This was her grandmother—no need to be as polite as Kawaki.

"Grandma, see you later."

Kawaki even turned back to say goodbye to Mito.

When they arrived at the training hall, they saw Nawaki teaching Misaki some basic ninjutsu techniques.

Being part of the Uzumaki Clan, Misaki had vast chakra reserves, and the jutsu she performed packed serious power.

"Wow, Misaki, you're catching on fast."

Nawaki kept showering her with compliments.

"Nawaki-nii, I despise you."

Kushina cut in, ruining the vibe. Who even flatters someone like that?

"Stop arguing and come eat with us."

Tsunade and Kawaki listened amusedly.

"Sister… Brother-in-law…"

Nawaki had been ready to argue with Kushina, but seeing Kawaki and Tsunade made him hold his tongue.

"Hurry up, we're leaving first."

Kawaki said that and dragged Tsunade away, disappearing before the three.

...

About half an hour after arriving home, guests gradually began arriving.

The dining table was filled with rich dishes and delicious sake.

Everyone quickly found seats comfortably, except for Pakura, who felt somewhat awkward.

Among these people she recognized many, but previously as enemies—now sitting together sharing a meal.

Life truly was something else.

Orochimaru noticed her unease and made sure to check with her again before leaving.

If Pakura didn't want to come, he wouldn't push her.

"Don't be nervous, they're all my friends."

That chapter still hasn't ended!

Orochimaru gently patted Pakura's hand.

"Okay, got it."

Pakura mumbled so quietly it was almost inaudible—completely unlike herself.

Seeing this, Orochimaru couldn't really say much else—Sakumo had already started speaking.

"I won't keep you waiting with a long speech."

"First, let's celebrate Tsunade, who is about to become Hokage."

As host, Sakumo stood up from the main seat and started the toast.

"Congratulations, Hokage-sama!"

Everyone joyfully drank together, while the children drank beverages instead.

The atmosphere was full of energy.

"Thank you everyone."

Tsunade didn't bother saying anything about her appointment not being official yet—everyone here tonight was a friend.

"Alright everyone, dig in and enjoy yourselves!"

At Kawaki's signal, several waiters, having just finished their drinks, immediately resumed serving.

Only three girls were huddled together, whispering.

Konan had already become quite close with the two red-haired elder girls.

"Hey Fugaku, aren't you going to introduce everyone?"

Noticing that Mikoto was still a bit reserved, Kawaki deliberately called out Fugaku's name.

Suddenly, all eyes turned toward them.

"This is Mikoto Uchiha. She's my fiancée."

Fugaku pulled Mikoto to her feet and introduced her plainly to everyone.

"Hello, just call me Mikoto is fine."

Mikoto was around Misaki's age, and their personalities were surprisingly alike.

Both were gentle and quiet—and at the moment, equally shy.

"You two can hang out more often—"

"Yeah, Mikoto can spend more time with Misaki and Kushina."

Kawaki had initially wanted to mention Tsunade, but then remembered how completely incompatible the two were.

Better she spend time with her original close friends instead.

"Okay."

From Fugaku's side, Mikoto already knew exactly who Kawaki meant.

"Now, let me share another good piece of news."

"In one month, Tsunade and I will be holding our wedding ceremony."

Seizing the moment with everyone gathered, Kawaki made the joyful announcement.

"Great!"

Sakumo slammed the table and shot to his feet—he'd been waiting for this day for ages.

If it weren for Mito still being alive, he would've arranged the wedding years ago.

"Well said, truly double happiness."

"What a happy day! Bring out more sake!"

Sakumo raised his hand, calling the servants nearby to serve even more alcohol.

The banquet stretched from noon to nightfall, leaving every man thoroughly drunk.

By the end, not a soul could walk upright without help.
