It wasn't long before the Fire Daimyō officially issued Tsunade's letter of appointment.
That was quick!
The letter contained a stern rebuke of Hiruzen Sarutobi's actions and wholeheartedly endorsed Tsunade's appointment as Hokage.
Inside the Hokage's Office…
"Lord Tsunade."
"Oh no, make it Hokage-sama now."
"How do you like the renovation? Is it to your satisfaction?"
It was still that short, dark-skinned middle-aged man, his face clearly showing signs of flattery.
Not bad actually.
Tsunade glanced around. This office had been renovated with Kawaki's funding.
At first, she hadn't wanted to make any changes, but Kawaki insisted that a new leader deserved a fresh start. After much convincing, she finally gave in.
Now, the entire office looked completely refreshed. She held the appointment letter and gently tapped it against her palm.
Solid wooden floors, warm-toned walls, and high-end furniture—all were far superior to what they'd had before.
Great then. If you spot any quality issues, don't hesitate to call.
The man's smile grew wider. Now that he'd climbed aboard the Hokage bandwagon, more projects would surely come his way.
"Alright, thank you for all your hard work."
Tsunade politely smiled at him, very satisfied with the results of the renovation.
"I'll take my leave then. Please carry on with your work."
The dark-skinned man didn't overstay—he knew exactly how much time to spend in the Hokage's presence.
Hmm.
Tsunade nodded. The man turned and exited respectfully.
Ahh~ feels so good.
Tsunade approached her desk, casually tossing the appointment letter onto it.
Then, flopping into the cushioned chair, she kicked her feet up onto the desk.
Before she could even close her eyes and savor the moment, Nemu Koharu's voice cut in.
"Put your legs down! What kind of image are you trying to project like that?"
Nemu rushed forward and smacked Tsunade's feet off the desk.
That familiar disapproving look returned—she hadn't changed one bit.
"I know, I know, Advisor Nemu."
Tsunade rubbed her forehead helplessly in reply.
"Haha, you really should watch your image."
"And please don't drool all over the desk from now on."
Kawaki entered behind Nemu, both having just returned from arranging the inauguration ceremony.
Says the one who drools!
Tsunade retorted awkwardly. Once, she'd left a little mess on Kawaki's chest herself.
Enough joking around.
"The event has been set—it'll happen tomorrow."
Nemu may have been older, but she had zero tolerance for romantic silliness.
She cut right through their teasing.
Thanks. I really mean it.
Tsunade said this sincerely—Nemu had truly worked hard inside and out.
"My pleasure. Oh, the Hokage robe will arrive shortly—you should try it on."
"Now let me go over the ceremony schedule for tomorrow once again."
...
Nemu began rattling off all the things Tsunade needed to do the next day.
Half an hour later, she finally wrapped up, and Tsunade had almost dozed off listening.
Did you get that?
Seeing Tsunade's drowsy expression, Nemu smacked her again, clearly annoyed.
I got it, I got it.
Tsunade gave a slight start when someone patted her shoulder, nodding repeatedly like a pecking chicken.
"Haha~"
Kawaki burst into laughter from the sofa.
"What's so funny?" Tsunade shot him an annoyed glare.
"Alright, I'm leaving first. You two chat."
As soon as she finished what she came for, Nemu Koharu made her exit without delay.
"Yes, goodbye, Advisor Nemu." Tsunade rubbed her eyes and bid Nemu farewell.
"Well worth the money, wouldn't you say?" Kawaki didn't wait around, proudly standing up after Koharu had left and strolling around the room.
Finally stopping behind Tsunade, he placed both hands on her shoulders.
"Not bad. While you're at it, give me a massage."
"I'm exhausted."
Tsunade tilted her head back, speaking lazily.
"Fine, not many people get to enjoy my special skills."
He couldn't understand why she stayed cooped up in the office all day—it didn't seem exhausting at all. Still, Kawaki humored her, pressing firmly on her shoulders.
"Haven't eaten anything, huh?"
Tsunade still felt a little tense.
"Hmph..."
Kawaki almost got angry at her remark—wasn't *he* supposed to be in charge here?
Just as he was about to press harder, there came a knock on the door.
"Hokage-sama, the Hokage robe has arrived."
A woman's voice sounded outside the door—it ended up being a godsend for Kawaki.
Otherwise, if he pressed too hard, he'd surely end up pounded by Tsunade.
"Come in."
Tsunade regained her composure in front of guests.
Kawaki stepped back politely.
The door opened, and a middle-aged woman entered carrying a large bag.
"Please try it on first. If it doesn't fit, I can adjust it."
She was considered the premier tailor in Konoha.
"Alright, just leave it on the sofa."
"If there are any problems, I'll contact you again."
Tsunade gestured for the tailor to leave after indicating where to place the clothes.
With accurate measurements, the chances of an experienced tailor like her making something ill-fitting were very slim.
"Okay."
The tailor agreed, placed the bag on the sofa, and quietly shut the door behind her.
Now *that's* what I call good service!
"Put it on! Let me see how it looks!"
Kawaki walked over, picked up the bag, and looked at Tsunade with clear eyes.
"It's just a robe. What's all the fuss about?"
Though saying that, Tsunade reached out and took the bag anyway.
She pulled out the brand-new Hokage robe and hat.
"Oh, guess you don't have to change after all."

It wasn't until Kawaki saw Tsunade unfurl the robe that he realized he'd misjudged things—muttering a quiet curse under his breath.
"What did you say?"
Fortunately, Kawaki hadn't spoken loudly, and while Tsunade approached after putting on the Hokage robe, she hadn't quite caught what he said.
"Nothing. It just looks really good."
Kawaki enthusiastically put the hat on Tsunade's head.
"What do you think?"
Tsunade spun around in front of Kawaki. The golden embroidery of "The Fourth" on the back stood out strikingly.
The white Hokage robe had golden flames embroidered along the hem, perfectly matching Tsunade's demeanor.
Show me the money!!
The Hokage hat slightly shadowed Tsunade's eyes, lending her an air of quiet authority.
"Beautiful."
Kawaki didn't hesitate to praise her.
Draped in the Hokage robe, Tsunade indeed looked more dignified, exuding greater presence than usual.
"Lord Kawaki Hatake, from now on, cleaning the Hokage Building is your duty."
Tsunade spoke solemnly, her tone carrying a touch of superiority.
"Look at you, getting all smug."
"If I don't punish you today, you'll forget all about our house rules!"
With a gleam in his eyes, Kawaki charged at Tsunade.
"Ahhh!"
Realizing she may have gone too far, Tsunade screamed loudly, and both vanished from the Hokage's office.
Hearing the sound, the Anbu rushed over but found no one inside.
"They're probably just messing around," remarked one Anbu officer while scratching his head—after all, only those two had been inside the room earlier.
"Whatever. Just keep this quiet," the Anbu Commander said. Being a married man himself, he already had his own suspicions about what was going on.
"Yes sir."
With that, the group left the Hokage's office as if nothing had happened.
Inside Kawaki's room at the Hatake residence, the atmosphere had already warmed up.
"Put it on."
"No."
"Just try it on for a while."
After some persistent coaxing from Kawaki, Tsunade reluctantly agreed. Such an impossible man.
"This is a one-time deal."
"Ow~ ow~ ah! ah!"
