We continued our tour, visiting the iconic Space Needle and strolling along the waterfront. Despite the fun, I couldn't shake my curiosity about Liam's life here. Every so often, I'd sneak in a question about his past, but he skillfully deflected or gave vague answers.

"So, Mr. Harrington, you've been pretty evasive about your Seattle days. What's the deal? A secret double life as a tech mogul?" I teased, trying to lighten the mood.

Liam laughed, but there was a hint of something unspoken in his smile. "Nothing so glamorous, I'm afraid. Just a lot of long hours and late nights. You know, the usual."

I raised an eyebrow, not quite convinced. "There's more to it, isn't there? You can tell me, Liam. I'm a great secret-keeper."

He glanced at me, his expression unreadable for a moment. "Maybe one day, Emma. But for now, let's just enjoy the city."
