Prologue

"How can one be alone, if they hold each other in their hearts?"

Some encounters leave a lasting impression on you. They excite us and make us long for more. They will become your fireflies luminating in the darkness, giving us hope for the future.

Likewise among millions, Felix was the same for Noah.

What happens when you meet the right person at the right time?

For Noah, her world lit up the moment she met him. He was the greatest grace given to her as the sole answer to all her sufferings.

'He made her believe in destiny.'

Noah once lived the most beautiful life she could ever have. She had it all supportive parents, adorable younger brother and her sweet friends. Everything was going well until fate played its cruelest prank. With her parents passing away suddenly in an accident, everything went downhill afterwards.

The child who once beamed like moonlight had to hide her tender heart just to survive in a cold world.

Her younger brother, Aster, only ten at the time, became her purpose to move on. Her dream of becoming an herbalist like her father faded like it never existed. After experiencing the malice of the world, her entire being was shaped towards survival.

Then one Mid Autumn day, she met him.

Felix was a wandering physician who came to Henzville for a short stay. But that didn't stop her from knowing him. He was distant and mysterious at first but after getting to know him, he became gentle and warm in her eyes.

She knew the time would come and he would depart at any moment.

Still her heart fluttered at the mere thought of him. She couldn't find the explanation for her raw, unmarked feeling. So, she let it grow carefully sheltered from the sight of others.

Though they grew closer, how could she ever ask him to stay?

The thought of him leaving gave her, made her heart ache every time. So, all that remained was a confession.

Yes, a confession...

"I am going to confess my love", Noah decided.

On the first snow of winter, Noah finally said it.

 "Felix, stay for me."

She looked at him, with anticipation and fear draped beneath her calm facade.

Then he said something that would change everything.
