“We could have forgiven you and the fairies nation. But can't you see the disappointment in our hearts? We worked hard to prepare the banquet, but you didn't come on time,” Rowel said, his voice sounding so deep.
“I know the impact of the fairies nation's negligence. That's why I'm here to improve relations with you. Our delay was not without reason, but something prevented us from arriving on time,” Feire said, she began to explain what was the reason for their delay in coming.
Rowel stared stiffly at Feire. The fox leader seemed doubtful about what the fairies leader said. Even though Feire had not stated the reason, Rowel's cynical gaze had felt condescending to Feire.
“Something happened to us last night. By dawn, we knew what had happened. Bad news has come. By the stars we predicted, there will be a chaos in the valley of flowers where we live,” Feire said, she began to speak frankly about her reasons.
“For centuries this valley of flowers was peaceful. Creatures and plants live side by side. Nobody started a fight between us, it's impossible for there to be chaos here,” Rowel said, he didn't believe what Feire said.
“That's the reality. The valley of flowers inhabited by fantasy creatures will not be destroyed by our nation. The chaos will come from humans, wars that are started because of power are the cause of the chaos that occur,” Feire said, she explained to Rowel.
“The valley of flowers is far from human reach. They won't be able to reach this place, there are lots of steep cliffs and sloping land that can prevent them from coming,” Rowel said, he still denied what Feire said.
“Humans will come sooner or later. The existence of fairy tale creatures had reached their ears. I heard, they have sophisticated tools to be able to penetrate the existing terrain to get to valley of flowers,” Feire said, she explained seriously in front of Rowel.
Rowel directed his sharp gaze at Feire. Between belief and disbelief enveloped him. Rowel did not expect that the peace in the valley of flowers would end in a matter of time. But to doubt Feire's words, it seemed impossible. Feire's serious expression and tone seemed to show that she was not joking around.
“Right now, maybe I won't believe the news you bring. But I will forgive you and your fairy flock for the negligence you committed today,” Rowel said to Feire.
“It doesn't matter if you don't believe what I say, fox leader. I came to convey my reasons and apologies,” Feire said, she swallowed the bitter feeling.
“Does not matter. Now the misunderstanding between the two races has been resolved. There's nothing more we need to talk about this time,” Rowel said, he ended the conversation between them.
Feire stared stiffly at Rowel. The fox leader seemed unable to compromise at this moment. Feire swallowed hard, then nodded slowly.
“It's fine if there's no dispute between us. I hope that relations and friendship will still exist between the foxes and the fairies,” Feire said, she gave a reply to Rowel.
“Good friendships should not be broken because of misunderstandings. I hope you understand too,” Rowel said, he gave a simple response to Feire.
Feire gave a small nod. She began to understand the meaning of what Rowel said. The fox leader did seem kind, even though his stance could not be shaken in the slightest. But at least Feire could feel a little more relieved that her arrival was not in vain.
“Since there is nothing more to discuss between us, I will take my leave. I'll go back to my place,” Feire said to Rowel.
“Yes, I will allow you to return. But sorry, I can't take you home to your place,” Rowel said, he agreed to Feire's return.
“Does not matter. I can go home alone,” Feire said briefly.
After seeing Rowel's nod, Feire looked down. She then turned and flew away from the mansion. At the main door, Feire met Raoul. She was forced to stop and meet Raoul.
“How was your conversation with Rowel? Did it go well and no one got hurt,” Raoul said, he started a conversation with Feire.
“Everything is alright. Nobody hurts each other. Both the fox pack and the fairies have agreed to continue this good relationship,” Feire said, she gave the answer to Raoul.
“Ah, thank goodness if that's the case. I'm pleased to hear it. Luckily the problem between the two races had been resolved. No more disputes occur,” said Raoul, his voice sounding so soothing.
“Yes. And for now, I will say goodbye to returning. I guess there's nothing more to discuss with the fox pack for now,” Feire said, she expressed her intention to go home.
“See you again. We will meet on another occasion if permitted,” Raoul said, he showed goodbye to Feire.
“Of course,” Feire said, her voice sounded very calm.
Feire showed Raoul a smile. After seeing Raoul's nod, Feire continued with her intention. She flew upstairs to go home immediately.
Just like the way out, so does the way back. Feire went through various terrain areas to get to her place. Luckily Feire wasn't tired, her wings were still strong enough to fly.
She arrived at her place. A place with groves of flowers that are homes for fairies. Feire's arrival was welcomed by several fairies. Feire could see Feya's figure in the middle of the crowd of fairies.
“Finally you are back. Don't you know how anxious I think about you,” Feya said to Feire.
“Of course I'm back. I bring news to all of you, my fairy people,” said Feire, she looked at all the fairies in front of her.
“What news do you bring? Just tell us,” Feya said, looking suspiciously at Feire.
“The foxes are not angry with us, fairies. But there is one thing that worries me. They can't believe what we saw last night,” Feire said, his voice echoing throughout the flower grove.
At least Feire had conveyed what he experienced in the foxes' den. He had neither reduced nor exaggerated anything. Feire had conveyed the true situation to the fairies.
