Her goal is the control room, where she can activate the subway and open a way for the group to escape. But to get there, she must overcome the monsters that are flooding the station.

On her shoulder, the centipede Beru coiled, its pale yellow eyes gleaming in the darkness. It was not afraid, just silently observing, as if knowing full well that Ruminas would not fail.

"Beru, can you use the stone stakes? Stop whatever you can," Ruminas said.

Beru immediately nodded, then from the ground behind him, sharp and large stone stakes emerged, piercing the unfortunate monsters but only blocking a small part.

Beru continued to use his ability, the stone stakes not only from the ground but also from both sides of the wall suddenly rushed out, it even caused the ceiling to partially collapse to block the way but just a few seconds later the monsters continued to smash the rocks and earth to chase after them.

Ruminas also didn't just run, along the way she used her axe to continuously destroy both sides of the wall to create obstacles. But this effort had already caused Ruminas to get some distance away from the monsters.

But suddenly, monsters started appearing from other directions in just as large numbers, and in just a moment, Ruminas was surrounded from all four directions.

"Beru, prepare a strong blow." She said and then switched to her axe, with a moment of force she slammed the axe down on the ground creating a shockwave, at the same time Beru also used his ability to make the cracks spread even wider.

Everything shook, dust flew everywhere. Taking that opportunity, Ruminas rushed forward with her spear in hand, stabbing any monster within range and applying a slowing effect.

Just like that, Ruminas ran, slowly escaping the siege of the monsters, but at that moment, a giant black shadow rushed out from a corner, blocking her path.

A hideous entity made of many patched bodies, a twisted combination of flesh and bone. Its crimson eyes stared straight at her, filled with a lust for destruction.

"What the hell is this again…!?"

Ruminas dodged an incoming attack and quickly used appraisal.

But Ruminas was soon no longer there.

With a lightning fast movement, she dodged the attack and used teleportation to appear right next to the monster.

It immediately turned around and threw another punch, but Ruminas nimbly jumped high into the air. The spear in her hand swung up—

With all her might, Ruminas caused the spear to stab straight into its head at a terrifying speed. A piercing blow, causing the giant body to stop for a moment.

Black blood spurted out like a fountain, and the slowing effect was also activated.

However, that was not enough to make the monster fall, so Ruminas switched to another weapon, her dagger, and retreated, using the wall to gain momentum and jump forward once more.

A clean slash right at the neck, black blood flowed out again but this time the monster could no longer fight back because the neck was its weak point and Ruminas had just given it a fatal blow.

The monster's bloodshot eyes dimmed, and it fell to the ground, motionless.

Ruminas pulled out her knife, flicking her wrist to brush away the dirty blood.

She was breathing heavily, the battle just now looked fast and easy but both attacks were with Ruminas using all her strength so it resulted in her strength being exhausted quite a bit.

It was the parasitic snake that had chased Ruminas before. She thought she had forgotten about it forever, but she never expected it to find its way here.

Because of its large body, the snake cannot move much, but when it cannot move, it chooses to destroy everything around it to create a path for itself.

From behind, a group of small monsters also rushed over. Ruminas knew she couldn't easily get past this snake, so she chose another direction and quickly ran away.

She ran at full speed, when she turned the corner she saw the control room at the end of the hallway but it was true that things would not always go smoothly at the last minute.

The parasitic snake came again, blocking her path. At the same time, monsters and giant Abominaters appeared from other directions.

"I can't drag them to the control room! First, I have to find a way to get away from here."

So Ruminas ran in the opposite direction.

Ruminas ran down the narrow corridor, where red lights flashed continuously, signaling the area's critical condition. Beneath her feet, the ground shook with each beat of the parasitic snake behind her.

Beru clung to her shoulder, his golden eyes flashing.

"Beru, create more obstacles," Ruminas said quickly as he rushed around a corner.

Beru stirred, and used her strength to suddenly collapse a wall on either side of the corridor, creating a barricade of stone and concrete. She didn't stop to see if it worked, because at that moment, another Abominater burst out from around the corner ahead.

Ruminas rolled to avoid it, then quickly turned around and used her axe to slash a long slash across its body. Stone stakes shot up from below and stabbed the monster, trapping it in them.

Ruminas took the opportunity to rush forward, using her dagger to stab its neck, then she continued to slash dozens of times before the monster completely died.

Beru nodded and then stabbed Ruminas' neck, at that moment she started to feel her strength slowly draining away, her face turned a little pale but she still tried to endure.

"If I can just hold them off for a minute, I'll have enough time to run to the control room and start the rails. It's worth the price!"

Meanwhile, Beru was like a greedy beast that mercilessly sucked away Ruminas' energy. As it sucked more, its body began to change.

Just as the monsters rushed in, Beru suddenly unleashed his power, helping Ruminas escape with her life.
