The woman's lips curved into a faint smile, then she coughed a bit while covering her mouth. Then she spoke again, "Excuse me, you can call me Catherine."
I nodded and was relieved she didn't ask any more questions.
She turned to her son and asked, "Go get a bottle."
Alexander nodded, then went to get a bottle from another room before appearing again. Catherine thanked him before spilling the drink left in the bottle before passing it to me.
I was surprised. I looked at her more closely. Why would she trust me? It's a little suspicious, but I kept my mouth shut.
She waved her hand before lying down, then uttered the last words, "Go and return to tell me the results."
Alexander nodded before pulling my wrist, his touch warm. When I was pulled away, outside, Alexander released me while turning to me with a suspicious gaze. "Just because my mother trusts you doesn't mean I will."
