Chapter 96: Get Lost!

Ada, doing her usual homework at home, felt somewhat restless. She stood up from her chair and looked out the window.

Listening carefully, she could clearly hear chaotic sounds from outside.

"There seem to be a lot of things happening today. I hope Silas is safe," Ada prayed silently with a devout expression.

"The farm! The farm is on fire!" At this moment, a shout faintly came from outside the window.

"The farm!?" Hearing this, Ada immediately became nervous.

Not only because of the homeless people, but also because when Silas left at six o'clock, he had told her to investigate the safety of the farm.

"Is Silas alright!?" Ada paced back and forth in the room, her heart filled with worry.

After a few seconds of thought, a resolute look flashed across Ada's face. She took off the white nun's habit she always wore and changed into a black nun's habit of the same style.

After getting dressed, she hurriedly ran out of the room and rushed towards the farm north of the city…

In the shadows of the night, three Night Watchers stood quietly, seemingly with no intention of intervening.

"Captain, do we really not need to help?" Bobby asked, a hint of anxiety on his face.

Logan said calmly, "We are not combat personnel. Especially at times like this, we need to pay more attention to other aspects of the city's problems. We can't let a problem in one place cause chaos in the entire city's defense system."

Marx nodded. "Bishop Ron has already gone over with his people. This matter should be resolvable. Let's focus on our own affairs!"

As they were talking, a pitch-black raven descended from the sky and landed on Logan's shoulder.

However, strangely, the raven's head had been blown off by something.

"This is…" Seeing this, Marx and Bobby were shocked.

Logan calmly put away the raven and said lightly, "Let's go, continue our work."

Boom!

Just as the three turned around, a violent explosion suddenly sounded…

At the north farm, dust and smoke filled the air, making it impossible to see the surroundings clearly.

Silas felt as if his entire body was about to be blown to pieces, unable to exert any strength.

Lifting his head slightly, his blurred vision saw Helles lying in front of him.

"It's good that you're alright…" Helles said wearily, then fainted directly.

His ears ringing, Silas didn't hear Helles's words. His blurred vision scanned the surroundings, and he found that everyone had been knocked out by the explosion.

Not far away were the fainted Adeline and Bart.

Bernice, holding the Husky, lay motionless in the snow about twenty meters away from him.

Looking forward, Silas vaguely saw a mangled corpse arduously healing itself.

In a short while, it transformed into the pale-faced Randall.

"Apos—" Just as he was about to speak, a powerful fist struck his head, knocking him unconscious.

The man in black still maintained his composure. He casually held the green-flamed skull and came before Silas.

After carefully sizing up Silas, the man in black's eyes were full of excitement. "Interesting, truly interesting. These two Demonesses, and this high-level vampire, seem very willing to die for you. Your dog is also no ordinary creature, your staff seems to have dozens of forms, and your heart is actually a piece of ice. I'm really becoming more and more curious about you."

Silas's eyes widened upon hearing this, his heart filled with extreme shock. His throat moved with difficulty as he forced out, "Who on earth are you!?"

"Damn it! Is this the vision of 88 points of Spirit Vision? It can actually see my body so clearly!?"

The man in black didn't answer but reached out, grabbed Silas's head, preparing to lift him. "Such a precious specimen must be properly collected."

"What to do! What to do? I'm not in a dream now, I have absolutely no way out. Am I just going to be captured by him like this!?" Silas's mind raced, yet he couldn't think of any solution.

Just at this critical moment, the man in black seemed to sense something. He knocked Silas out with a punch and turned to stare in a certain direction within the dust.

"Silas! Silas! Where are you?" A worried female voice came from within the dust.

"Silas! Silas!" The voice was very ordinary, without any mystical elements, coming from far to near, gradually becoming clearer.

The man in black casually threw Silas down, hung the magic book on his belt, held the green-flamed skull in one hand, his eyes full of solemnity.

"Who?"

Following some messy footsteps, a slender woman dressed in a black nun's habit walked over. Her expression was full of worry and anxiety, as if she were looking for something.

This person was Ada, who had heard the explosion and ran over to find Silas.

Ada seemed to sense something. She suddenly looked up and saw the fainted Silas beside the man in black.

Pfft! Pfft!

The moment he saw this nun, the man in black's scalp went numb, his eyes widened. His previously composed eyes were now filled with frightening bloodshot veins, then rapidly became congested, his entire eyeballs protruding outwards, as if being squeezed out by some invisible force.

Ugh, ugh, ugh…

An extremely difficult groan came from his throat, as if he were suffocating.

Seeing the fainted Silas, Ada's expression changed, taking on an indescribable indifference. She said one word.

"Scram!"

The man in black's entire body began to tremble violently. His body seemed to be pulled by countless threads as he struggled to lift his hand.

Ahhhhh!

Following a roar full of struggle, the man in black violently tore off his mask, reached out his fingers, and directly gouged out his own eyes.

After gouging out his eyes, the man in black clutched his eyeballs, muttering somewhat madly, "I saw it… I… saw that…"

At this moment, he was extremely wretched. He didn't even care about the fainted Silas beside him but turned and ran, disappearing completely into the night in a single breath.

"Silas! Are you alright!?" After the man in black ran away, Ada hurriedly ran over and picked up Silas.

After confirming Silas was still alive, Ada looked relieved. She pressed her forehead against Silas's and said in a low voice, "Little fellow, you can't die… at least not now."

At this moment, a flurry of messy footsteps came from the surroundings.

Jik led a group of people and hurried over. Upon seeing such a tragic scene, their faces turned very ugly.

Bart's eyes twitched. He slowly opened them and saw Jik looking at him with a worried expression.

"The Church people should be here soon, right?" Bart said with difficulty, looking around.

Jik nodded. "Bishop Ron seems to be seriously injured. Most of the clergymen are surrounding Bishop Logan, but the remaining Divine Punishers and Exorcist Nuns are on their way."

Bart looked at Silas, who was lying in Ada's arms, and sighed. "Thank you for this time."

With that, Bart said, "Take all of us away. If those clergymen see us, there will definitely be big trouble!"

Jik immediately nodded upon hearing this and turned to give orders.

These people moved very quickly.

Each person carried one. In less than thirty seconds, they quickly disappeared into the night.

The dust and smoke gradually dispersed, and snowflakes fell.

Only the traces of an explosion remained on the tragic battlefield, nothing else.

Five minutes later, Father Anthony and Sister Marlene, covered in injuries and looking exhausted, ran over. When they saw the situation before them, their expressions were filled with bewilderment.

"What on earth happened here?" The two looked shocked and puzzled.
