Dr. Ava Moreno, a brilliant and troubled psychologist, is drawn to the abandoned Ashwood Sanitarium, infamous for its dark history and experimental treatments. As she explores the decaying halls, she uncovers the secrets of the sanitarium's past, including the mysterious "Project Elysium."
Ava soon discovers that she is not alone in the sanitarium. A malevolent entity, born from the darkness and madness that once consumed the patients, begins to manipulate her thoughts and actions. As Ava's grip on reality begins to slip, she must confront the true horror that lurks within the sanitarium's walls.
With each step, Ava becomes more entrenched in the madness that surrounds her. Will she be able to uncover the truth behind the sanitarium's dark past, Echoes of Madness is a gripping psychological horror story that explores the blurred lines between sanity and madness, and the horrors that lurk in the darkest recesses of the human mind.
I read all 16 chapters including prologue. The story seemed gripping at first and then ava just continued to be frightened and she was consistently scared when nothing really appeared in front of her? like some random voices which went on for a couple of chapters and some hospital records. and she then opens a door to find that she had been a patient? And some psycho kidnaps her and takes her away. The pacing is messed up, the description is too repetitive. there is no real flow. I think you did a decent job on character design. you don't have alot of bad vocab, I mean it's pretty flowy, the sentence structure is great but I think you definitely need to work out more on plot device and connecting one thing to the other. Ending was too abrupt. you have potential though, keep it up.
