CHAPTER 66

c66 – Leng Hao: Leng Ritian

Twenty minutes passed in silence.

Once again, Chen Xiaoxiao teleported via Solgaleo to the southern coast of Baodao (Treasure Island).

There, she found that the support team dispatched by Leng Xin had arrived—six in total.

Among them was a familiar figure an "old acquaintance."

"What a majestic Solgaleo! Xiaoxiao, I haven't seen you in a few years, and the little loli from back then has turned into a stunning beauty. Your power now makes us veterans feel outdated!"

The man's teasing tone was unmistakable.

Chen Xiaoxiao smiled brightly at the sight.

"Uncle Leng Ritian! Long time no see. Still looking so youthful and handsome! I bet a whole generation of innocent little girls are falling head over heels!"

At this, Leng Hao's expression darkened slightly.

"It's Leng Hao, not Leng Ritian!" he retorted sharply.

"Understood, Uncle Ritian~" Chen Xiaoxiao responded sweetly, clearly enjoying herself.

Leng Hao—younger brother of the Chinese Champion Leng Xin was well-known among elite circles.

Chen Xiaoxiao had met him years ago, when her grandmother brought her to the Leng residence for a visit.

When Leng Hao first laid eyes on the little Chen Xiaoxiao, with her innocent princess-like aura, he was stunned.

Trying to act charming, he had pulled out a Pikachu-shaped lollipop and held it out, attempting to bribe a kiss to the cheek.

Unfortunately for him, Chen Xiaoxiao who retained memories from her past life saw through him instantly.

She unleashed a Psychic attack, using Confusion to knock him out for several hours!

Ever since learning his full name, she'd mischievously called him "Leng Ritian Uncle" a nickname that refused to die.

From that moment on, the two shared a quirky, indelible bond.

"Tch, you're still as mischievous as ever... Fine, let's get down to business," Leng Hao grumbled, glancing at the support team, who were clearly trying not to laugh.

Going any further might put his "dignity" at risk.

Of course, if Chen Xiaoxiao ever heard Leng Hao claim he had "dignity," she'd probably slap him with a Reality Check.

A 40-year-old bachelor, always flirting with younger girls and making entertainment headlines every other month what dignity?

"Solgaleo, Teleport!" Chen Xiaoxiao commanded.

With a celestial flash, the entire group was instantly warped to the Unnamed Island.

The support team staggered slightly from the sudden shift then gasped.

Aside from Leng Hao, the rest hadn't been briefed on mission details. They had assumed from the friendly banter earlier that this was a minor skirmish.

But the scene before them told a different story.

The island was a battlefield.

Cratered terrain, blasted boulders, charred soil, and dense spiritual residue filled the air.

It was clear that a fierce confrontation had occurred one that had shaken even the island's bedrock.

Elite eyes scanned the environment quickly.

The composition of the rock here was a dense basalt derivative extraordinarily tough, not easily damaged by conventional Pokémon attacks.

Yet the ground was riddled with gouges, craters, and shattered formations.

This was the aftermath of Champion- and Legendary-level combat.

Then they noticed the Gardevoir formation guarding a cluster of Poké Balls and a few caught sight of Latias in the distance.

"Holy Arceus..." someone muttered.

This wasn't a mission it was a legend in the making.

"Xiao Zhang, Xiao Li," Leng Hao snapped, bringing everyone back to focus, "confirm the identities of those three unconscious Footbath Kingdom agents. Xiao Xiao, where are the Pokémon they had on them?"

Chen Xiaoxiao gestured to the Poké Ball cache.

"Over here."

She led the group to the site, where a circle of Gardevoirs kept tight guard.

With a flick of his wrist, Leng Hao sent out a Poké Ball of his own.

"Come out Ninetales!"

A brilliant flash revealed a shimmering Ice-blue Ninetales its elegant fur glowing softly under the moonlight.

As it materialized, a chill swept the air, frost crystallizing around its paws.

A regional variant from Alola Ice/Fairy-type Ninetales.

Ninetales (Alolan Form)

Gender: Female

Level: 84 (Early Champion Tier)

Type: Ice / Fairy

Nature: Timid (Speed ↑, Attack ↓)

Ability: Snow Cloak – Boosts evasion in hail

Item: Never-Melt Ice (increases Ice-type move power)

Her aura shimmered as she raised her head gracefully. A thin mist of Icirrus Snow swirled around her clearly benefiting from passive buffs.

Even among Champion-tier Pokémon, this Ninetales was elite.

The moment the support staff saw her, their hearts dropped.

"We're dealing with monsters..." one of them whispered.

But there was no time for awe.

The real mission was just beginning.

Ability: Snow Cloak – Increases evasion by 20% during hailstorms and prevents HP loss from hail damage.

Hidden Ability: Snow Warning – Summons a hailstorm when entering battle.

Held Item: Never-Melt Ice – Boosts Ice-type move power by 20%.

Classification: Champion-tier Pokémon.

---

"Xiaoxiao, please open them one by one."

Although Leng Hao was known as a playboy, his strength as a trainer was solid.

He had already released his trump card Alolan Ninetales as a safeguard against surprises.

"Gardevoir, open the Poké Balls from weakest to strongest."

With a mental command, Gardevoir began opening each Poké Ball in sequence.

As the Pokémon emerged one by one, Leng Hao checked them with a trained eye, while Chen Xiaoxiao gave a concise summary of each combatant's level and species.

The first Pokémon that emerged was already quasi-Elite level.

The expressions of the accompanying agents instantly changed.

They'd heard it clearly: from weak to strong.

And the first one was already quasi-Elite?!

Sure, for Elite trainers like themselves, quasi-Elite wasn't terrifying. But there were 18 Poké Balls on the ground.

If this was the baseline… what came next?

And all this had been handled by Chen Xiaoxiao alone?

"...Nima…"

By the ninth Poké Ball, the strength had reached full Elite level.

The rest of the entourage was numb. They didn't even bother trying to keep a poker face.

They looked at Chen Xiaoxiao with silent awe.

"This is a boss. A walking disaster. Let's never cross her."

Leng Hao's eyes sparkled as soon as he laid eyes on the Weavile.

Sharp-eyed and lean, the female Weavile had excellent muscle symmetry and near-perfect physical conditioning.

A prime specimen for breeding.

Without hesitation, Leng Hao casually slipped Weavile's Poké Ball into his coat.

The entourage all silently looked the other way.

They'd seen this kind of thing before.

As long as Chen Xiaoxiao didn't object, everything was understood.

She hadn't because she knew this would happen.

This was Leng Xin's direct line Leng Hao. That's why she'd introduced the Pokémon one by one: to guide him toward what he wanted.

"Well, the Beartic's female too… not bad. The Leng clan needs one."

With a grin, he quietly tagged the Ice-type Beartic as well.

It was a silent exchange, half business, half farce.

In addition to verifying Pokémon stats and type classifications, Leng Hao administered a heavy anesthetic to the unconscious Pokémon before securing them in Poké Balls.

This was standard protocol.

After all, if a Pokémon regained consciousness inside a Poké Ball, there was a risk of it struggling free and injuring handlers.

In the end, Leng Hao kept only Weavile and Beartic. Even the Champion-tier Walrein didn't tempt him.

After all, the Leng clan wasn't lacking in raw power.

Once the inspection was complete, Chen Xiaoxiao recalled her own Pokémon they had also been injected with a safe tranquilizer compound leaving only a Xanadu flower blooming nearby.

She used telepathy to communicate with her Pokémon in their storage space, formally introducing Latias to the team.

Meanwhile, Xiao Zhang and Xiao Li completed their investigation of the unconscious Japanese trainers and returned with full identification.

The group walked over to the three restrained men.

Leng Hao glanced down at them Honda, Yamada, and Mita his lips twitching.

He still remembered the struggle. He'd tried handling one like this before. Never again.

"Commander Leng," Xiao Zhang began formally, "they've been confirmed as fugitives from the Footbath Kingdom. All three Honda, Yamada, and Mita have active international warrants. Their full profiles are uploaded here."

He handed over a Pokédex loaded with official data.

"Tch… every time they cross borders to stir up trouble, they get classified as 'fugitives.' So old-fashioned."

Leng Hao was unimpressed. This was exactly what he expected.

"Xiao Wang, extract their memories. Let's see what they were really up to."

"Got it. Come out Hypno!"

With a flash of light, a yellow Psychic-type appeared.

Its fur was bristled with white tufts around the neck, and it carried a pendulum ring slowly swinging back and forth.

Hypno, the dream manipulator.

A veteran of countless national operations, Hypno was a strategic-level asset.

Its abilities included hypnosis, dream reading, deep psychic probing, and memory recovery ideal for counter-espionage and interrogation without physical contact.

Hypno began its work without a sound, eyes glowing faintly.

A chill ran through the air not from Ice-types, but from something far more invasive.

No one spoke.

They knew what came next.
