Journalist Ethan Cole, killed while investigating a cult, wakes in the body of a banished gatekeeper in a world where nine mystical gates connect realms of gods and monsters. Tasked with guarding a gate leaking shadowy horrors, Ethan must unravel the secrets of his predecessor’s fate, using his investigative skills and a starlight-infused blade to battle demonic invaders and treacherous allies.
I read up to chapter 6, and as far as I read the pacing is good for me and I feel good plot too. Though it is difficult for me to understand with all the unknown meaning to the names. But I like what I read until now. And Don’t trust Elder.
I've read up to like 10 chapters and the story is wild in a good way. Starts with mystery and just keeps getting deeper with cool worldbuilding . Characters are cool and the world-building is top notch. Can't wait to see what happens next!
I’ve read up to around chapter 7 so far. The setting is very unique and imaginative, full of mystery and intrigue. One thing I found challenging was that the information is revealed very slowly and gradually, so sometimes I got a bit confused about who’s who and what’s going on. However, the imagery and the mysterious atmosphere are really well done. From a world-building perspective, it’s truly impressive and has great potential.
Hey, Shade9Gate is here. Honestly, I'm shamelessly giving myself a review based on my novel. This is my first time writing a transmigration novel and I know most of you love transmigration. Honestly, for some chapters, you'll find it hard to grasp. As more peak chapters are released, you'll understand more about Ethan Cole. Don't forget to add the novel to the collection and please support me with powers tones. Thank you and enjoy reading.
This is my first time reading a story like this, but the story really pulls you in with its mysterious vibes and cool worldbuilding. I like the main character he is a full package, interesting with how he's using his detective skills to solve the issues as Marcus. Loving the mix of dark fantasy and action so far!
Caught up to it and what can say... the story is intriguing and quite good compared to other slops on webnovel. Some polish in writing structure and the novel would to top tier.
Don't trust the Elder Don't trust the Elder Don't trust the Elder Don't trust the Elder Don't trust the Elder Don't trust the Elder Don't trust the Elder
at chapter 17 and this is genuinely good, i love the plot and the way the story progresses. This is novel has so much potential. Keep writing, i'm sure other people love it just as much, keep the chapters coming!

I am usually not into fantasy, but this piece intrigued me. I read the first five chapters. The world building and descriptions are great. It has an engaging story structure with relatable human relevance. I had trouble keeping track of the characters in the first chapter, but once I learned more I was able to hang on better. This story does a good job of bringing us directly into the protagonist's confusion, their thoughts, their mission, their discovery. Some parts are almost cinematic. It could be stronger if it were condensed in some places and the language was tightened a bit.
I have only read like more than a couple chapters, but I am surely excited to read more and follow this journey. The detailed world building and cool characters are the things that I loved in this book the most. As a fellow writer I know that choosing a name can be a task but the name and cover of this book both hit the spot.
I genuinely enjoyed this novel far more than I expected to. I usually gravitate toward romance books, so stepping into this genre was a bit of a leap for me, but definitely one I’m so glad I took. From the very beginning, the premise intrigued me, but it wasn’t until the end of chapter two that I was truly hooked. At first, I’ll admit I was a little confused, especially with the unfamiliar world and the concept of the gates, gods, and monsters. But the more I read, the more things began to fall into place, and the story just took off from there. The pacing was sharp, the tension real, and the sense of mystery kept me scrolling until I lost track of time. The action sequences were thrilling, and Ethan’s perspective as a journalist-turned-gatekeeper brought a fresh angle to fantasy. Hats off to the author. Great jobb!!
I have only gotten to chapter 8 and already I can see the potential this story had. The interesting names to be brought up as points later, and even everything going on with the core cast. Can't wait to see more
This book has such a fascinating concept that just draws you in. The world building is also very intriguing.
