Chapter 18

Lindsay's POV

I lay on my bed that night, unable to sleep, wondering what life would be like now that I knew this world was bigger than we thought. Myths of creatures might also be true; who knew, maybe aliens existed too. I laughed at my silly thoughts.

One thing I was now sure of: Dominic was a vampire, and loving him might put my life on a different path. But it was too late to turn back; I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Late at night, I felt someone watching me, so I turned my head towards the window. To my surprise, Dominic stood there, watching me.

"How did you get in?" I asked.

"Of course," I thought, "what a stupid question; he's a vampire, he could easily come through the window."

He approached me and sat at the edge of the bed, looking into my eyes. "The window," he simply answered with a smile.

I smiled back. "What are you doing here?" I asked again.
