Dominic smiled. "So, you're now officially mine." Lindsay smiled too. 


They sat at the edge of the bed, Dominic staring at Lindsay, enveloped in an awkward silence. 


Lindsay couldn't take it anymore. "Why are you staring at me like that?" 


"Uhm... I don't know why I can't read you, Lindsay," Dominic admitted. "I can read everybody's mind except yours." 


Lindsay's confusion deepened. "Really? Is there something wrong with me?" 


Dominic couldn't help but laugh. "You're worried why I can't read your mind, yet I just told you I read minds?" 


Lindsay's face flushed. "You're right." 


"You're indeed special, Lindsay," Dominic said, his eyes sparkling with amusement. 


Lindsay blushed, her cheeks warming. "Thanks." 


Dominic's expression turned serious. "You do know you're not supposed to know about my kind
