Lindsay was lost in the moment, unable to believe what was happening, yet unwilling to stop. Dominic slowly pulled away, his eyes locked on hers. Neither spoke.

"I...I think it's getting late," Lindsay stammered. "You should go, Dominic, so you won't get in trouble."

Dominic smiled at her shyness. "Okay, I'll go. Good night, kitty."

He left, leaving Lindsay dazed, her face flushed like a tomato. She couldn't believe what had transpired between them.

As she lay on her bed, her phone buzzed. She picked it up to find a message: "Kitty, leave your window open tonight. Let the fresh wind in; it feels nice."

It was from Dominic, but how did he get her number? Lindsay blushed, re-reading the message.

Before bed, she opened the window, and the fresh air felt calming.

As she drifted off to sleep, Lindsay felt like someone was watching her. She opened her eyes to see Dominic standing by the window, but when she turned on the light, he vanished.

Rushing to the window, she realized it was impossible for anyone to reach her room; it was too high up.

"Am I reading too many fictional books?" she thought, face-palming herself.

The next morning, Lindsay met her friends at the school café.

"Have you seen the new update?" Emily asked.

"What update?" Lindsay replied.

"Bookish Vibes is ending her novel," Emily said.

The group erupted in excitement.

"Chill, guys, I didn't know you were fans of Bookish Vibes," Emily laughed.

"I love her work; her novels are epic and full of twists," one friend said.

"Is she really ending it? I don't want it to end," Lindsay asked.

"Well, it's coming to an end, but...girl, you'll love her second novel, 'Island of Phantom.' It's going to be amazing!" Emily exclaimed.

As they headed to class, Lindsay saw Dominic. Their eyes met, and he smiled, but something strange happened – his eyes changed color, and she was the o nly one who noticed.
