Chapter 14
Lindsay, can I talk to you for a minute?"
Dominic's grip on her hand tightened, a subtle warning.
Here's the next part:
Dominic's eyes flashed with warning as he stepped forward, his voice low and even. "I don't think that's a good idea, Elijah."
Elijah sneered, his eyes darting between Dominic and Lindsay. "Mind your own business, Dominic."
Dominic's grip on Lindsay's hand tightened. "Lindsay is my business."
The air was electric with tension as the two men faced off.
Lindsay tried to intervene, but Dominic's gaze warned her to stay back.
Suddenly, Elijah's expression twisted in anger, and he snarled, "Fine, have it your way. But this isn't over."
As they walked across campus, Lindsay couldn't help but notice the way Dominic's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled. She felt a flutter in her chest, and her hand instinctively squeezed his.
Dominic's gaze locked onto hers, his expression softening. "You're really something, Lindsay."
Lindsay's cheeks warmed, and she looked away, trying to play it cool. But she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was falling for Dominic.
As they approached the student union, Dominic stopped and turned to her. "Want to grab coffee with me?"
Lindsay nodded, her heart skipping a beat.
Over coffee, they talked about everything and nothing, laughing and joking like they'd known each other for years.
Lindsay felt a deep connection to Dominic, like she could be her true self around him.
As the sun began to set, Dominic walked Lindsay back to her dorm.
At her door, he turned to her, his eyes burning with intensity. "I really like you, Lindsay."
Lindsay's pulse raced. "I really like you too, Dominic."
Dominic's smile was slow and sensual. "Good."
He leaned in, his lips brushing against hers in a soft, sweet kiss.
