Train Journey

The whole train journey was spent studying Pralaya-1's blueprint.

Ishar hated to admit it, but the alien spaceship was way cooler than it seemed. Terrifying, yes, but beautiful.

The train rumbled with every chug, a scenic view of mountains and greenery ruling the land. They had decided to leave a day earlier, in an attempt to save some time from being lost. The air was chilling, and slightly topped with a pure sprinkle of snow.

Soon, they had reached the science camp, a beautiful building that seemed to seep the essence of intelligence.

All 5 of them entered the elevator. It looked like a normal one, with a mirror and handrail and everything. Ishar looked at the black emergency telephone that hung beside the right wing of the elevator. He pressed '1-9-8-0-4' on the dial pad.

All of a sudden, the elevator gave a jerk. A powerful jerk which made all of them stumble, and caused a bug to fall from the handrail. It started going lower, 2nd floor, 1st floor, ground floor, basement…it was at this time Ishar realized there weren't any more numbers.

Nevertheless, he could feel the elevator continue going down. Was it personally going to deliver them to hell? Just as some more absurd thoughts entered Ishar's mind, the elevator doors opened. What he saw next completely baffled his mind.

The research center was more amazing than the military facility. If there had been an award for the coolest secret room ever, this would've surely won the first prize, along with a recommendation letter. Lights shone from the ceiling, and huge screens showcased data reading, beeping red and blue.

However, the most amazing part was the astras. They were elegantly kept on stands, standing proudly like jewels among a pile of dirt. They had not changed their appearance a single bit, though the cleaning and refining had made them a thousand times more beautiful.

"Wow." breathed Ishar.

"Yes they are!" A voice came from behind, "Great to see you guys here again! It's been a wild ride."

Gargi looked at them with a joyful look, while Anjani grinned and said, "We have so much to show you. You all are in for a treat. Come on."
