Chapter 91;ACCOMPLISHED OR SO I THOUGHT

Chapter 91

As Chu Chu discarded the tray, she continued down the corridor, her face obscured by the surgical mask and nurse's bonnet. A doctor approached her, his footsteps deliberate on the polished floor. "Nurse Go Nam!" he called out, his voice firm.

Chu Chu's instincts screamed at her to flee, but she knew that would arouse suspicion. Instead, she nodded curtly, her eyes cast downward. The doctor's eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze lingering on her.

"Have you given the patient his medication?" he asked, his tone expectant.

Chu Chu nodded again, trying to mimic the brusque movements of a busy nurse. She turned to leave, but the doctor's next words halted her. "Why are you acting strange, Nurse Go Nam?"

Chu Chu's heart skipped a beat. She forced herself to meet the doctor's gaze, her eyes locking onto his with a calculated intensity. She nodded once more, hoping her expression wouldn't betray her. The doctor's scrutiny was unnerving, but she held her ground, her face a mask of calm professionalism.

The doctor's words hung in the air, his voice firm and commanding. "Go to the VIP room and administer the medications to the patient," he instructed, his eyes expectant.

Chu Chu's response was barely audible, a soft "Unh" that she hoped would pass as a confirmation. She kept her voice low, careful not to betray her identity. The nurse whose uniform she had stolen was a stranger, and Chu Chu had no idea what her voice sounded like.

The doctor's gaze narrowed slightly, his eyes scrutinizing her face. "Go Nam, are you alright.. You seem a bit off?" he said his voice tinged with concern.

Chu Chu nodded hastily, tjat she was fine, her heart racing with anxiety. She couldn't afford to arouse suspicion, not now, not when she was so close to finding Na Yeon.

The doctor's expression softened, and he continued."Alright, Nurse. Please proceed to the VIP room on the right, room 310 and administer the medication to the patient. I trust your judgment implicitly, Go Nam."

Chu Chu nodded again, her mind racing with possibilities. What if the doctor discovered her true identity? What if she was caught impersonating a nurse? She pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand. She nodded once more, her eyes locked onto the doctor's, and turned to leave.

As she walked away, she felt the doctor's gaze lingering on her, but she didn't dare look back. She had to keep up the charade, no matter what. The VIP room was her next destination, and she had no idea what lay ahead.

As Chu Chu navigated the corridor, she spotted a cleaner pushing a cart laden with cleaning supplies. She approached the cleaner, adopting a lost expression. "Excuse me," she said softly, seeking guidance.

The cleaner looked up, her eyes lighting up with recognition at the sight of the nurse's uniform. "Yes, Nurse? How can I assist you?" she asked, her tone warm and helpful.

"I'm trying to find the VIP room," Chu Chu said, injecting a hint of uncertainty into her voice. "I'm new here and I'm not entirely sure where it is."

The cleaner's face lit up with familiarity. "Ah, I know the VIP room like the back of my hand. I used to clean those rooms regularly. It's just down that corridor, room 310,311,312. You can't miss it."

Chu Chu nodded, her eyes locked onto the cleaner's, as she committed the directions to memory. "Thank you ever so much," she said, a faint smile playing on her lips.

The cleaner smiled back, her expression kind. "You're welcome, Nurse. I hope you settle in well. Good luck with your new role."

With a nod of appreciation, Chu Chu set off towards the VIP rooms, her footsteps quiet on the polished floor. Five minutes later, her gaze fixed on the number 310 etched into the door. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what lay ahead, and pushed open the door..if she didn't find na yeon here, she would try the next room.

As Chu Chu entered the room, she was met with an eerie silence. The only occupant was Na Yeon, lying motionless in the bed. Chu Chu's footsteps echoed through the room as she approached the bedside. As soon as she saw Na Yeon's face, she felt a surge of relief and gratitude. She silently thanked the heavens for guiding her to Na Yeon so quickly. Her heart swelled with a mix of emotions: excitement, determination.

Suddenly, Na Yeon's eyes fluttered open, and she gazed up at Chu Chu. "Who are you?" Na Yeon asked, her voice weak but laced with curiosity.

Chu Chu's voice was muffled behind the mask as she spoke, "Time for your medication" She reached into her pocket and pulled out a syringe, her movements swift and efficient. Na Yeon's eyes followed her every move, curiosity and suspicion etched on her face.

As Chu Chu injected the contents of the syringe into Na Yeon's drip, Na Yeon's gaze never left hers. Chu Chu's eyes met Na Yeon's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. "You should start feeling better soon" Chu Chu said..her voice barely audible behind the mask.

Na Yeon's eyes seemed to bore into Chu Chu's soul, as if searching for answers to unspoken questions. Chu Chu held her gaze, trying to appear calm and professional, despite the turmoil brewing inside her.

Chu Chu swiftly turned on her heel and exited the room, her footsteps echoing down the hospital corridor. She shed the nurse's uniform with haste, crumpling it into a ball and depositing it into a bin with a sense of liberation. The cool evening air enveloped her as she stepped out of the hospital's imposing structure, and she hailed a taxi with a sense of urgency.

As she settled into the back seat, the driver, a gruff but affable man, asked for her destination. Chu Chu provided the address of her school, and the driver nodded, his eyes flicking to the rearview mirror before he hit the gas. The city lights blurred together as they sped through the streets, Chu Chu's gaze fixed on the clock on her phone. Time was ticking away, and she had to be back in school before curfew. The thought sent a thrill of anxiety through her veins, but she pushed it aside, focusing on the present moment. For now, she was free, and the night was hers to navigate.

A sly smile spread across Chu Chu's face as she thought about the drug she'd administered to Na Yeon. "At least Na Yeon won't remember Hyun Min for a while," she mused, a satisfied glint in her eye..and she chuchu will have him all to herself..."

Chu Chu's thoughts turned inward, her mind whirling with schemes and strategies. She envisioned herself effortlessly manipulating the situation to her advantage, her confidence growing with each passing moment.

"Chu Chu, you are too good," she whispered to herself, a triumphant smile still playing on her lips. Her eyes sparkled with a cunning light, and for a moment, she felt invincible. The city lights blurred together outside the taxi window, but Chu Chu's focus remained fixed on her own reflection, her mind racing with possibilities.
