Chapter 92;BEYOND CURFEW

Chapter 92

The taxi's headlights cast an ethereal glow on the city streets as Chu Chu leaned forward, her voice husky and confident.

"Driver, could you please drop me off at Eclipse club?" she asked, her breath misting the glass partition.

The driver's eyes flicked up to meet hers in the rearview mirror, a hint of curiosity sparking in their depths.

"Alright, miss," he drawled, his voice low and smooth. "I'll take you there."

The taxi's tires hummed against the asphalt as it pulled up in front of the club, the neon sign pulsating like a heartbeat.

Chu Chu's eyes locked onto the entrance, a thrill of anticipation coursing through her veins.

She handed over the fare, her fingers brushing against the driver's as she took her change.

Stepping out into the night air, she felt the city's energy wrap around her like a shroud.

The music thumped and pulsed, drawing her in like a moth to flame.

With a swift glance around, she melted into the crowd, the darkness swallowing her whole.

As Chu Chu swept into the club, the bouncer's gaze drifted toward her, a nod of familiarity crossing his features. She flashed a radiant smile, her lips pursed in a playful kiss, sending a flirtatious gesture to the cluster of men lingering near the entrance. Their eyes locked onto hers, mesmerized by her confident stride as she navigated the crowded dance floor.

The air pulsed with the thumping beat and the murmur of conversation, the scent of liquor and sweat hanging heavy over the sea of bodies. Chu Chu wove through the throng with effortless poise, her presence commanding attention without seeming to seek it.

She made her way down a dimly lit corridor, the music receding into the background like a distant heartbeat. Pushing open a door to a private room, she slipped inside, enveloped by the intimate space.there were different clothes on the bed as if choreographed in anticipation of her arrival.

Chu Chu opted for a more casual yet stylish ensemble. She chose a pair of distressed denim jeans, and itted white tank top.

As Chu Chu stepped out of the club, the cool night air enveloped her, and she hailed a taxi with a practiced hand. The drive to school was uneventful, her mind wandering to the events of the evening. Upon arrival, she paid the driver and stepped out into the night.

Min ji and shantel were lounging outside, their eyes scanning the surroundings until they spotted Chu Chu emerging from the taxi. They exchanged a knowing glance, and their faces lit up with curiosity. As Chu Chu approached, they fell into step beside her, their strides matching hers.

"Did you succeed in your plans?" Shantel asked, her voice barely above a whisper, laced with intrigue.

Chu Chu's lips curled into a sly smile. "Trust me," she replied, her voice dripping with confidence.

The trio shared a laugh, the tension and anticipation palpable between them. Together, they walked toward the school entrance, their footsteps synchronized as they disappeared into the night.

The rooftop's biting wind danced through my hair, sending shivers coursing down my spine as I stood beside him. The city lights twinkled like diamonds scattered across the velvet expanse, and I wrapped my arms around myself, the chill of the night seeping into my bones.

"You should head back..it's cold," he said, his eyes locking onto mine with a gentle concern.

I tilted my head, my voice barely audible over the wind's whisper. "What about you? Don't you think it's getting late?"

A faint smile played on his lips. "I'll be fine. I just need some time to clear my head."

As I glanced at my watch, surprise fluttered in my chest – it was already past ten. "Goodnight," I murmured, my voice soft as a sigh. "I should probably get going."

With a quiet farewell, I turned to leave, and he faced the city, his gaze lost in the labyrinth of his thoughts.

The stairs rushed past me in a blur as I descended, the cold air swirling around me like a vortex. I pulled out my phone, my heart skipping a beat as I saw the missed calls – twenty from Racy – and the messages that accompanied them.

A flutter of unease danced in my chest as I wondered what urgency had driven her to call me so many times.

As I pushed open the door to the school's interior, I was met with an unexpected sight – students still lingered in the corridors, their laughter and chatter filling the air. Curfew was at nine, and yet, here they were, roaming freely at past ten. I shrugged.

My feet carried me toward Racy, who sat in a corner, her fingers moving swiftly over her phone's keypad as she dialed my number. I knew she was trying to reach me, and my phone's silence had kept me oblivious to her attempts.

"Racy?" I called softly, approaching her side, my curiosity piqued. "What's going on? I saw all the missed calls and messages."

Racy looked at me with an intensity that made me feel like I was under a microscope, her gaze lingering for what felt like an eternity. "Racy, are you okay?" I asked, trying to break the silence.

Her expression shifted from calm to concerned, her voice rising in urgency. "Seriously, you just disappeared without a word! You know how worried I was?..with no single clue about your whereabouts."

I held up my hands, palms facing her, in a calming gesture. "Hey take a deep breath, racy. Calm down. You have to calm down..let's not get worked up over nothing."

Racy's eyes flashed with a mix of frustration and worry. "Look, you're asking me to calm down, but what if something had gone terribly wrong? I'd have no idea where to start looking..I'd be left in the dark, with no idea where to begin searching for you."

I met her gaze, my voice firm but gentle. "Racy, I'm not a kid. I know how to take care of myself. And I know where I went, okay?"

Racy's expression softened slightly.
