What Use Is This Spear?!

In the distant battlefield, Doomsday finally lost the ability to fight back under Heisenberg's relentless assault.

Using the chains binding Doomsday, Heisenberg tested every attack at his disposal.

It wasn't that Heisenberg couldn't defeat Doomsday—for him, it would be all too easy.

Doomsday had never been killed by divine metal, and if Heisenberg truly wished it, a few strikes could reduce him to dust.

But he didn't.

Why?

Because he wanted to probe Doomsday's limits while holding the upper hand.

Thus, even as Batman and Lois Lane met in the distance, Heisenberg's combo never faltered.

Earlier, before Heisenberg's arrival, Lois had received a call from Alfred.

When Alfred explained the situation and the need for the Kryptonite spear, Lois, despite her humanity, agreed without hesitation.

The woman who had captivated Superman so thoroughly was no ordinary soul.

But upon reaching the battlefield, she found Batman already there.

Spotting the Dark Knight, Lois instinctively frowned. She despised this man who sought to kill Clark.

Yet Clark now needed this cursed bat's help.

Batman, meanwhile, seemed… lost.

In his memory, the spear lay near the central hall's sculpture.

But where was it now?

Scanning the area, he deployed micro-bat drones from his belt, targeting the Kryptonite signal to sweep the building.

Hopefully, no one had stolen it in the chaos.

Just then, he noticed Lois approaching.

"Thank you for coming," he whispered. "But you're not needed to find the spear. Your only task is to leave this danger zone.

My Batmobile's outside, set to autopilot. Go somewhere safe!"

As he spoke, Bruce turned, following the faint Kryptonite signal.

Watching his cautious search, Lois sighed silently.

This bat was far more serious than she'd imagined.

She ran toward him, explaining softly.

"Stop searching with your drones. Follow me!

After you left, I threw that damn spear into the pool!"

Despite her lingering resentment, Lois's face flushed with embarrassment.

Batman nodded in understanding, then sprinted after her.

As they ran, he sighed.

Women…

When Lois pointed to a distant pool, he dove in without hesitation.

Within seconds, he emerged with the Kryptonite spear.

Leaping from the pool, Batman led Lois to the Batmobile.

With a tap on his wrist, the vehicle split, revealing a compact yet fully functional Batcycle.

"This isn't the time for stubbornness, Lois," Bruce said firmly.

"Get on. Leave the battlefield. It's for your own good—and Clark's."

"I understand. I'll leave. But please, take care of Clark. I'm begging you!"

Lois's plea weighed heavily on Bruce. He silently started the cycle, nodding solemnly.

As he rode toward the battle, a thought nagged him.

Your lover's so powerful—who's taking care of whom?

Meanwhile, Wonder Woman and Clark had no intention of letting Heisenberg fight alone.

Shortly after Bruce left, they resolved to join the battle.

Diana struck her shield, addressing Clark.

"Kal-El, if Bruce returns with the Kryptonite spear, you and your great-grandfather will be powerless.

If the fight's critical, he could be gravely injured!

We must take over—I must take over.

Tell him to slow down; I'll handle Doomsday.

When Bruce returns, I'll use the spear to end it."

With that, Diana soared, slamming her shield into Doomsday's face.

Clark followed, joining the fray.

Heisenberg kept the battle airborne, so they circled Doomsday.

Whenever Doomsday countered, one of them struck hard.

Their coordination was imperfect.

Clark's heat vision cleared a path, and he landed two heavy blows—only to be grabbed and hurled at Heisenberg.

Heisenberg sidestepped, catching Clark by the cape.

"You don't need to interfere," he said, swinging Clark like a lasso.

Pulling the chain, he yanked Doomsday back.

Confused, Clark was flung toward Doomsday.

Instinctively shielding his face, his body slammed into Doomsday, sending him flying.

Heisenberg had used him as a weapon.

Tossing Clark aside, Heisenberg resumed his assault.

Clark steadied himself, floating awkwardly nearby.

As Heisenberg prepared another strike, Clark intervened.

"Great—er, may I know your name?" he asked, reluctant to say Great-Grandfather.

It wasn't doubt—Heisenberg's identity was clear.

Clark had even confirmed their DNA match.

Seeing Clark's hesitation and Diana's vigor, Heisenberg smiled.

"You want to take over?"

"Not by choice. Batman's bringing a Kryptonite spear—it can kill Doomsday."

Clark sidestepped, kicking Doomsday. Heisenberg followed, throwing Gungnir.

The spear pierced Doomsday, pinning him to Diana, who sliced off his arm.

Clark continued, "Kryptonite weakens us. If you're still fighting, you could be hurt.

Diana won't be affected, so we need her to take over."

Heisenberg nodded, smiling.

"Fair enough. But you won't call me Great-Grandfather? Or even Grandpa, boy?"

In the distance, Diana struggled.

Attempting Heisenberg's tactics, she found herself outmatched.

Doomsday's severed arm regrew, now with sharp bone spikes.

As she was pulled toward him, the spikes aimed for her chest.

Raising her shield, Diana braced herself.

BOOM!

The shield held, but she lost control, crashing to the ground.

Heisenberg watched with interest, then turned to Clark, smiling.

"Your plan's nice, but her strength isn't enough."

He flew, punching Doomsday away from Diana.

Clark followed, adding a blow.

Heisenberg kneed Doomsday skyward; Clark intercepted, slamming him back.

For a moment, they played Doomsday like a ball.

Watching Heisenberg, Clark felt a strange thought.

This feels like playing soccer with my dad…

Heisenberg, too, felt a similar nostalgia.

As he kicked Doomsday toward Clark, he laughed.

"Catch this, kid!"

Clark grinned.

"Watch me!"

He kicked Doomsday back, their interaction bewildering even Diana, who had risen.

Seeing Doomsday's helplessness and their growing enthusiasm, she smiled.

Kryptonians truly are enviable.

Bruce, parking his cycle at the battlefield's edge, ran with the spear.

But he froze at Heisenberg and Clark's shouts.

Watching their joyous battle, he stared at the spear, bewildered.

After a long pause, he swallowed hard.

"What use is this spear?!"
