"Your Majesty?"
Heisenberg spread his hands, chuckling lightly.
"It's not the age of gods anymore. We don't need to be so formal.
I'm Heisenberg. Call me whatever you like."
Heisenberg finished with a smile at Diana and the others.
To his surprise, only Superman nodded at him.
The other two were deep in thought.
Diana was searching her memory for any mention of Heisenberg. Her mother, Hippolyta, had told her many stories about the gods when she was young.
As for Bruce…
His thoughts were scattered and numerous—nuclear bomb makers, drug dealers.
But after much consideration, he couldn't recall hearing the name Heisenberg in any Earth mythology!
This left Bruce dissatisfied. Not knowing Heisenberg's origins would complicate his investigation.
He'd have to use his computers.
Since he couldn't do it on the spot, Bruce stored the name "Heisenberg" deep in his mind, enlarging and bolding it countless times.
Meanwhile, Clark asked Heisenberg,
"Is Heisenberg your only name?
I mean, I thought we shared the same surname."
At this, Bruce perked up, and even Diana leaned in, awaiting Heisenberg's response.
Heisenberg casually shook his head.
"El is your family's surname. As the leader of the Science Council, El is a legacy, merely a family tradition.
As for me…"
Heisenberg smiled.
"I've long broken free from familial constraints, placing myself on a far higher plane!"
He glanced mysteriously at Clark, asking softly,
"Can you guess my identity, Kal-El, child of Krypton?"
"I…"
Clark was at a loss. Not being deeply interested in Krypton, he hadn't thoroughly investigated the Kryptonian ship on Earth.
He hadn't read its records and knew little about Krypton's history.
Without understanding Krypton's political system, he couldn't guess Heisenberg's identity.
It was like meeting a fellow townsman after years away—could you guess he was the village chief from two years ago?
Seeing Clark shake his head, Heisenberg sighed.
"It's fine. Don't dwell on my name. My history has long drifted away with the past.
Now, I'm just like you—a Kryptonian wanderer in a foreign land."
Hearing this, Clark suddenly remembered something. After a moment's hesitation, he decided to speak up.
"Great-Grandpa!"
His expression was solemn, almost mournful.
He continued,
"I know you were in stasis… er, resting… in the ship.
You awakened with Doomsday.
You might not know, but Krypton is…"
"Gone, right?"
Heisenberg finished for him, patting Clark's arm.
"Seeing you, a wanderer in a foreign land, I can imagine Krypton's fate while I was away.
But it's okay!"
Heisenberg smiled boldly, declaring,
"Rest assured, I'll use my authority to gather Kryptonians like you scattered across the universe. As an elder and leader of Krypton, I'll summon them to my side.
With me, Krypton will never truly vanish!"
As his words landed, Bruce and Clark were stunned!
They immediately recalled General Zod, who months ago had planned to transform Earth into Krypton.
Bruce even considered analyzing Heisenberg's physiology to understand why he, unlike Clark, wasn't affected by Kryptonite.
If this powerful being, who had just saved Earth by defeating Doomsday, planned to do something with his followers, Bruce needed countermeasures.
Unlike Bruce, Clark's brief worry quickly faded.
He didn't believe a kind elder like Heisenberg would act like General Zod.
Beside him, Diana asked Heisenberg,
"Lord Heisenberg, you were once Krypton's leader?
When you say you'll summon them to your side, you don't mean to transform Earth into Krypton, do you?"
She smiled, shaking her head.
"I'm overthinking. You're Earth's god. You wouldn't harm it like an ordinary outsider!"
She glanced at Clark and Bruce, reminding them not to jump to conclusions.
Bruce remained silent, but Clark nodded.
"I'm truly honored. I never imagined you were Krypton's leader.
To have a leader as my ancestor is incredible!"
At this point, Bruce's new plane arrived.
The group paused their chatter, helping Bruce quickly attach the damaged Batwing to the transport plane.
They followed Bruce to the mysterious Batcave.
As they disembarked, Alfred was the first to greet them on the landing pad.
Of course, there was no one else…
Seeing Heisenberg and the others behind Bruce, Alfred was overjoyed.
Since Robin…
Well, anyway, it had been a long time since Bruce had brought anyone else here.
Alfred had always worried Bruce was too lonely, and now it seemed he'd found new friends!
"Welcome! I never thought I'd see a third person in the Batcave in my lifetime."
Alfred joked with a smile.
"And now there are three, four, five at once!"
"Haha, does he usually just lie in your arms, crying for milk, old friend?"
Heisenberg casually shook Alfred's hand—he was the fourth favorite person in the DC universe!
Seeing Heisenberg's warmth, Alfred smiled politely.
"Not just crying for milk, but also crying in loneliness. In my heart, Bruce will always be that…"
"That's enough, Alfred!"
Bruce was helpless. As Alfred aged, he increasingly enjoyed sharing embarrassing stories from Bruce's past…
Seeing Bruce's neutral expression, Alfred knew he was embarrassed, so he nodded understandingly.
"Alright, alright. No one likes their past displayed for all to see, and Bruce is no exception.
Come with me, everyone. I've prepared a French feast and casual clothes for you all."
He glanced at Heisenberg, smiling slightly.
"Though you seem to need neither. Your clothes are truly enviable.
And should I address you as 'Your Majesty'?"
"Hahaha!"
Heisenberg was amused by Alfred.
"I'm just an ordinary Kryptonian who's lived a bit longer. Please don't call me 'Your Majesty'!
After all, those high-and-mighty majesties wouldn't be as eager as I am for the feast you've prepared!"
Saying this, Heisenberg and Alfred led the way, joining Diana and the others, who were exchanging glances, into the depths of the Batcave.
Watching the two elders chat happily ahead, Clark felt…
He felt incredibly awkward.
After all, Great-Grandpa looked so young!
Diana, seeing Heisenberg's approachable demeanor, felt her esteem for him soar.
She lightly bumped Clark's arm.
"Your grandfather is so approachable. If the Olympian gods were like him, Earth wouldn't be in this state today!"
"What's wrong with Earth?
I think it's great now!
Even if life under the gods were better, it wouldn't be as vibrant and diverse as today.
At least under their rule, we wouldn't have this brilliant multicultural civilization!"
Bruce countered softly, making Diana smile casually.
As a human, Bruce, though walking in darkness, saw the light more clearly because of it.
Diana, raised on the pure Amazon island, grew up among simple-hearted warriors.
In society, she focused more on humanity's chaos and darkness.
Of course, though their perspectives differed, their goals were the same: to improve their world.
That was all.
Listening to their debate, Clark smiled knowingly, feeling the change.
Before tonight's battle with Batman, his life seemed to have only Lois and Martha.
Now, he had trustworthy allies and a reliable ancestor!
Thus, they passed countless gadgets and vehicles, reaching the heart of the Batcave.
Batman's command center, also his workspace, wasn't particularly tidy.
But Heisenberg and the others didn't mind.
"Before today, I never imagined Bruce would bring you all here, so clearly, I've failed as a butler.
Please rest nearby. Dinner is being prepared, and your clothes are in the rooms to the right. The innermost room is for Miss Diana."
Alfred introduced, then nodded to Heisenberg in farewell. He had to handle the meal upstairs.
After Alfred left, everyone changed into their clothes. When Batman emerged from the resting room, he saw Heisenberg waving him over.
"You're the fastest, as always. Come sit. Before dinner, I've got something to discuss with you all!"
Heisenberg naturally gestured to a nearby seat, leaving Batman silently stunned.
He wanted to tell Heisenberg, "The seat you're pointing to is right under my usual spot. You're… really making yourself at home!!!"
But he never said such things, instead sitting opposite Heisenberg with his usual stoic expression.
Clark, freshly changed into a casual suit, joined them, sitting beside Heisenberg.
The three chatted idly, waiting for Diana, who, as expected, took longer than imagined.
Heisenberg clapped his hands, addressing Bruce and Clark.
"I came mainly to discuss something with you.
In the Kryptonian ship, after Clark and Doomsday were thrown out, I encountered an exceptionally evil figure.
He possessed the person who awakened me and Doomsday, briefly communicating with me.
He plans to bring his army to Earth for a 'visit'…
If you believe it's just a visit!"
Heisenberg glanced deeply at Bruce.
"As a witness, I felt that bastard's power. He's no enemy I can handle alone.
So, I plan to gather powerful individuals like you to form a team specializing in high-threat entities."
Heisenberg slapped the armrest, declaring,
"I'll call this team the Justice League!"
He finished with a grin, glancing at Batman, whose expression remained unchanged but whose eyes betrayed shock.
You never saw that coming, did you, Batman!!!
