Bruce, of course, hadn't expected this, because he hadn't even thought of such an idea yet!
But to be honest, the recent battle with Doomsday had subtly planted the idea of forming a team in his mind.
If everything unfolded like in the movies, after Superman's death, Bruce would learn from Luthor about the new enemy approaching.
Only then would he officially initiate the plan to form the Justice League.
So, for Bruce, who hadn't communicated with Luthor at all, he was surprised but didn't think Heisenberg had read his mind.
He furrowed his brow, pondered, and looked at Heisenberg, asking softly,
"Are you saying you want to form a team of superheroes?"
"Exactly, a team of justice. Even if it's just mutual supervision among members, it can prevent the team from going down the wrong path.
And with such a team, if we encounter troubles we can't handle alone, we can at least find a glimmer of hope from our teammates.
But most importantly…"
At this point, Heisenberg glanced at the empty Batcave and then at Clark's thoughtful face.
"Most importantly, we'll have more friends!"
"Oh?"
Diana, who was about to leave, heard Heisenberg's last words, smiled, and walked over to sit beside him.
"What were you just talking about? I thought I heard something about having more friends.
Is our Mr. Wayne planning a party to celebrate our victory?"
As she spoke, she gently smoothed her slightly damp hair.
Hearing Diana's question, Bruce shook his head.
"That's something Wayne would do, but I'm Batman now. Don't interrupt our meeting.
Mr. Heisenberg just proposed forming a team of superheroes like us to face powerful cosmic enemies.
I'm considering the possibility of this proposal!"
As he spoke, Bruce looked at Heisenberg and asked seriously,
"Honestly, as long as I'm included, I won't reject such a team.
Because human effort has its limits, that's a fact. With me in the team, I can ensure its direction and actions remain truly just.
But before making a decision, I need to know about this enemy.
At least give me a name, not just a vague possibility from your mouth!"
Bruce looked intently at Heisenberg, and beside him, Clark remained silent, sharing the same sentiment.
He didn't speak because he had no objections.
However, Clark was genuinely curious about the enemy his ancestor mentioned.
After all, in Clark's life, the only foe as formidable as Doomsday was Doomsday himself.
But his ancestor's power far surpassed this Doomsday, so who could be the enemy that even his ancestor found challenging?
He was very curious!
Beside them, Diana turned to Heisenberg, leaning slightly forward, her hair cascading naturally. She asked with concern,
"Sun God, have you discovered a new enemy?
Is it dangerous?
So much so that we'll need to work together to defeat it?"
Hearing Diana's question, Heisenberg nodded.
"Bruce and Clark might not know, but you might have heard his name.
Darkseid!"
"Darkseid!!!"
Diana's beautiful brows furrowed sharply. Before Bruce could ask, she exclaimed in shock,
"Are you talking about the Darkseid who invaded Earth in ancient times?!"
"Wait, Diana, are you saying this enemy named Darkseid has been to Earth before?"
Clark asked in surprise. Diana nodded firmly.
"If the Sun God is referring to that Darkseid, then in ancient times, he indeed invaded Earth!"
As she spoke, Diana looked worriedly into the distance. When the stories her mother told her became reality, they were no longer just stories.
The bloodshed and hardship within those tales became all too real.
"In ancient times, an enemy named Darkseid came to our Earth.
He carried three weapons called Mother Boxes, wielding a power akin to a trinity, intending to turn Earth into scorched earth under his rule!
To drive Darkseid out of Earth, my Olympian gods, the Atlanteans of the ocean, and the humans led by King Arthur of the West joined forces.
Not just Earth, even the Green Lantern Corps from the universe participated in that war.
The battle was fiercely contested, and countless Golden Age heroes perished.
But thanks to our ancestors' efforts, Darkseid was defeated and fled Earth!"
Diana said, looking worriedly at Heisenberg.
"Your Excellency, were you also part of that war? And how do you know Darkseid is returning?"
"No, no, no, I wasn't part of it. After all, when that war began, I was still in hibernation aboard the Kryptonian ship."
"Then how do you know Darkseid is returning? You…?"
"I saw it with my own eyes, Diana!"
Heisenberg said solemnly, then turned to the others and recounted the scene.
…
…
…
"In short, Darkseid used Luthor's body to have that conversation with me."
After he finished, Diana nodded decisively.
"Though I dread hearing this news, I must admit that learning of Darkseid's return made me feel a momentary fear.
He's an enemy worthy of a joint effort from the ancient gods, Atlanteans, Green Lanterns, and humans!
But now, we can't unite these three races again, and the heroes of the past are long gone.
So I'll join the Justice League. If even we don't unite, what hope does Earth have?"
As she spoke, she looked seriously at Heisenberg.
"I'll make time to return to Themyscira and tighten security around our Mother Box, or even relocate it.
If they're coming, the Mother Box will be their first target!"
"Well done, Diana. Thank you for your trust!"
Heisenberg smiled and nodded, then turned to Clark.
Noticing his ancestor's gaze, Clark smiled shyly and nodded.
"I have no reason to refuse this invitation. We worked well together today, and I'll never allow my beloved planet to be invaded by anyone.
Whether it's Zod or Darkseid, I'll fight them to the end!"
As he spoke, Clark glanced around, his eyes filled with awe at the beauty of the human world.
With Diana and Clark both joining, Bruce had no reason to refuse.
"I'm in too. Let's cut to the chase.
Diana, I need specific information about Darkseid. If possible, I'll need firsthand data from your divine records to devise a plan against him!
Mr. Heisenberg, I hope you haven't killed Luthor yet. If possible, I need to speak with him.
There's no one better than him, having been possessed, to help us infer Darkseid's personality.
Also, I have information about others like us. I think we should invite them to join; it'll increase our chances of success!
And, Mr. Heisenberg, can you estimate how much time we have left? When will Darkseid act, and how will he arrive on Earth?
If possible, I'll deduce his landing point and prepare sufficient countermeasures there.
Finally, I must say, it's an honor to form a team with gods, demigods, and a Kryptonian Superman like you.
I'm truly honored!"
Bruce abruptly extended his right hand, and Clark placed his hand atop Bruce's.
Diana smiled at Heisenberg and placed her hand on Clark's.
Looking at the three united before him, Heisenberg felt an indescribable sense of accomplishment!
This time, I am the founder of the Justice League!
He solemnly extended his right hand, placing his divine palm atop Diana's.
"We may have just met, but we're all the same kind of people.
We're strong, independent, and self-reliant, but we need our kind, we need each other!
We are the Justice League!"
Heisenberg smiled and pressed his hand downward.
The four moved in unison, then withdrew their hands.
"I'll make time to build a communication device from my memory to contact the scattered Kryptonian wanderers in the universe.
Krypton is a theocratic state, and they're naturally loyal to me, so you don't need to worry about them causing trouble.
But don't expect too much. No one knows my people better than I do. They're the kind who'd rather perish with their homeland.
I doubt I can recall many of them."
As soon as Heisenberg finished, Clark looked helplessly at the others.
"Compared to my ancestor, I… probably only have myself to rely on."
"Having you is enough, kid!"
Heisenberg laughed and patted Clark's shoulder. The atmosphere of the Justice League suddenly improved.
At that moment, the Batcave's distant doors suddenly swung open.
A Batmobile roared into the parking spot and came to a thundering halt.
Moments later, the car door opened, revealing a woman strapped in, looking utterly bewildered.
She stared blankly at her surroundings, then at the four figures—Heisenberg, Diana, Bruce, and Clark—looking back at her.
"Clark?!?!"
"Lois?!?!"
Clark looked at Lois in confusion, then turned to Bruce.
Even without words, Bruce could guess what Clark wanted to say!
He swallowed hard and quickly explained to Clark,
"Miss Lois was near our battle with Doomsday earlier. When I retrieved the Kryptonian spear, I had Miss Lois board the Batmobile and sent her to safety!
Given that Miss Lois was recently kidnapped and Luthor in Metropolis had just kidnapped your mother, I thought there was no safer place than my Batcave!
But my Batmobile is obviously much slower than our plane, so we arrived first!
That's it!!!"
Seeing Bruce's flustered explanation and the rare hint of panic on his face,
Heisenberg burst into laughter. This was Batman's latest iconic moment!!!
Diana laughed too, as Bruce's face rarely showed any other expressions.
The contrast between his usual calmness and his current hurried explanation was simply too striking!
Clark looked at Bruce, and a grateful smile suddenly appeared on his face.
"Thank you, Bruce. I never knew you were such a good person to be friends with!"
He leaned over and gently hugged Bruce.
In the distance, Lois was even more bewildered. Why was her man suddenly hugging that big bat?!?!
Indeed, from the moment she met that big bat, she knew it was definitely not a good thing!
A woman's intuition never lies!!!
