The Forbidden City was heavy with silence, the air thick with the scent of blood and incense. Wu Zetian stood in crimson robes, her gaze locked on the dragon throne.



"She dares."

"A concubine. A widow. A woman."



But Wu Zetian was no longer any of those things.



She was the storm that refused to be silenced.

The flame they could not extinguish.
