Chapter 66 – The Wedding Beneath the Waves

A week after the duel, the underwater kingdom of Aelyndra erupted into celebration.

Shisui, now recognized as the Champion of the Deep, stood before a massive altar of coral and crystal, dressed in ceremonial armor engraved with both Hanagakure sigils and ancient merfolk symbols. At his side stood Princess Liryssa, adorned in a flowing gown of translucent sea-silk, glowing like moonlight underwater.

The coliseum, once a battlefield, had been transformed into a grand ceremonial hall, filled with royalty, warriors, and nobles. Even the once-cold King Neryth now smiled with pride, his hand resting on Queen Aelyra's.

A priestess of the ocean offered blessings in the Old Tongue, weaving water and light into beautiful symbols that danced through the water around the couple.

"Do you, Shisui of Hanagakure, take Liryssa of House Nerathi to be your eternal companion, across land, sea, and spirit?"

Shisui nodded. "I do."

"And do you, Liryssa of the Tidal Line, take Shisui as your lifemate and shield?"

"I do," she said, her voice soft but unwavering.

As their hands joined, a surge of magic pulsed from the altar—a binding oath of two worlds, two destinies.

The crowd erupted in cheers as the priestess declared, "By sea and soul, you are now bound."

Their lips met. The water shimmered like starlight.
