Chapter 81: Audience with the Moonfang Royals

The palace of Lunaris was a sprawling marvel of moonlight marble and crystal vines. Silver banners fluttered from towers, each bearing the crest of the Moonfang royal line — a crescent moon over twin wolves.

Shisui, now clean and dressed in formal robes, was escorted into the grand throne hall. At the far end sat King Fenryl Moonfang — tall, with a commanding presence, silver fur lining his regal armor — and Queen Lysara, graceful and poised, her eyes wise and watchful.

Irylia stood beside them, smiling brightly the moment she saw Shisui.

"Lord Shisui of the Hidden Leaf," King Fenryl began, voice deep and resonant. "You saved my daughter's life when none of our own could reach her. For that, you have our eternal gratitude."

Queen Lysara added gently, "Irylia told us everything. About the attack, the ambush, and your courage. You risked your life to protect her."

"I did what anyone with a heart would do," Shisui replied humbly.

Fenryl stood and descended the stairs of the throne. "Perhaps. But that doesn't diminish the weight of your actions. As king, I am bound to reward great deeds."

He produced a crystal medallion glowing with moonlight. "This is the Crescent Honor, the highest award given to those outside the royal family. It grants you the right to walk freely through Lunaris and the loyalty of my house."

Shisui accepted the medallion with a respectful bow.

"I also grant you guest status in the palace. For as long as you wish to remain, consider this your home."

Irylia smiled radiantly, her tail wagging softly.

As Shisui looked up into the proud, grateful eyes of the royal family, he felt something stir within him — a sense that his presence in this world was not just chance… but destiny.
