"This has nothing to do with us. Let's get back to the issue of the house..."
"Evelina! Listen to me. I don't know when Cadence got pregnant. I swear I used protection. I have no idea how she could've gotten pregnant!"
Looking at Kellan's sincere face as he apologized, I felt utterly blind.
"Get out. I don't want to hear anything except about the divorce."
The next day, I heard Kellan took Cadence to the hospital to terminate the pregnancy.
Cadence lost it. Before the procedure, she sent me a barrage of texts cursing me to hell.
I didn't reply. After her surgery, I used my status as a family member to obtain her medical records and promptly sent them to her husband in America, who hadn't yet divorced her.
Thanks to Cadence's love of social media, I was able to track down her husband.
Even more shocking was what was clearly written on the surgical record - the name of the family member: Kellan.
And in the relationship column, it said - husband.
