"Woah."
"Giggle."
"Where's Daddy?… Here I am!!!"
"Giggle."
For those who are wondering what I am doing, well, I am playing magic peekaboo with my daughter, where I use the Disillusionment Charm to make myself disappear and then dispelling it to appear, making her laugh—it's so much fun.
Even though a baby who's a little over a month old shouldn't be able to do that, my daughter, much like me, is turning out to be an outlier.
It has been more than a month since I last visited Sairoarg's mansion, and a lot of things have happened since then.
For starters, I finally couldn't take it and started my research on why Elizabeth drank so much milk as compared to babies her age, because the amount she drank was more than double the usual intake of a baby per day—be it human, devils, or even vampires—which is what got me concerned and started this research in the first place.
In my quest for answers, I scoured a lot of mundane libraries as well as websites on the Devilnet thanks to the second phone I got from Sairoarg—after, you know—I broke the first one with all the experiments I'd done on it.
That was how I found out about the normal food intake and growth progress, and how much faster my daughter's growth was compared to devil babies or babies from any other race for that matter.
While researching, I found a very meticulous study published on Devilnet about the subject, done by one of their Satans—Beelzebub—who did a very outstanding job cataloging and characterizing the growth cycle of devils compared to the rest of the races, which is what I primarily used as a basis when comparing it with the data I had collected on my daughter…
I didn't know why a Satan would be interested in such a topic, but I was still a little bit grateful for it.
Still, this didn't ease my worries; in fact, it did the opposite. It intensified them, making me wonder if my daughter's fast growth had any negative side effects or something I wasn't aware of, so I used every scanning spell I knew and even created a couple of new ones just to scan and analyze her body—so much so that I practically know how her DNA is structured by now.
Anyway, after a lot of tests, I figured out the reason behind her massive food consumption and fast growth—it was me, or more specifically, a mistake I unintentionally made back when I first got her.
You see, when I rescued her back then, I infused her with a little bit of my energy to keep her alive, which is where I made a mistake—and a little bit of my null energy seeped into her body, which, for lack of a better term, kind of unshackled her physical limitations. This caused her body to need more energy in order to actually keep up with her new growth parameters.
So yeah, this whole ordeal was kinda my fault…
Figuring this out didn't make me feel any better, though, because it shed light on a new problem she was having now: the physical and spiritual imbalance that was starting to be more apparent after all the scanning I did.
That's why, in order to prevent said imbalance from escalating, I infused her soul with a tiny bit of null energy too, in an effort to help her unshackle her spiritual limitations and regain a semblance of equilibrium and to not stunt her spiritual growth; otherwise, I would be raising a little brute.
Anyway, the moral of this story is that I shouldn't try to infuse anything with energy anymore unless I am in complete control of my emotions, because I was beginning to notice a pattern here: first Hogwarts because of my exhaustion, and now Elizabeth.
'Yeah, it's better to stop doing that altogether…' I thought, as I continued playing with my daughter, and making her giggle—which is turning out to be my favorite pastime.
Still, that wasn't all I did during this month, though. Because even though having a baby as a roommate is a very bad idea and I 100% do not recommend it, I have nonetheless gotten a lot of things done, like creating the potion I told Sairoarg about, for example.
Did you know that said potion was already a thing in the wizarding world? Yeah, it was one of the potions used by duelers, Aurors in training, or different wizards to achieve faster training results…
'Yeah, leave it to wizards to try and come up with a potion to try and train less…' I thought sarcastically, but that was also why I was confident when I told Sairoarg about the potion back then in the first place.
Because all I needed to do was to study the herbology of this world, you know, to make parallels between the different ingredients, their effects, and whatnot, which I did in about three days. Thanks to the information I found on the Devilnet about planets and their properties, plus all the actual books and plants that Kuisha delivered to me, after that, it was smooth sailing.
I just needed to alter the potion the same way potion-makers usually do when they brew a potion for a magical creature, and ta-da, I have a potion that works on devils.
I didn't jump into brewing the potion right away though, despite being theoretically ready, no. I first started thinking of ways to protect the potion from being tampered with and prevent people from figuring out how to create it by themselves, as well as trying to convert the whole brewing process into a pure alchemical one—because, believe it or not, I did not have the time nor the patience to actually brew it the wizarding way—and so, another three days were wasted on researching and creating a very complex alchemical circle to do just that.
'And wasn't that a chore?' I grimaced, remembering all the headaches I went through to make that possible—yeah, turned out exhaustion and intensive research don't mix well.
Nevertheless, it was all smooth sailing after that. So, I created the first batch and sent it to Sairoarg, completing my end of the deal.
The rest of the time I spent monitoring my daughter's growth, creating my underground hideout/laboratory, remodeling my residence, creating a greenhouse next to it, and researching new potions.
You see, after I figured out how to create potions using alchemical circles instead of the usual brewing process, I started researching how to recreate all the potions I knew, as well as trying to come up with new ones.
I figured that would be a nice way to introduce myself and come into contact with the wider supernatural world, gain a reputation, and earn wealth and knowledge along the way, because, believe it or not, having potions that work on different races is a big deal here—people in this world mostly rely on magic or other ways for healing, with the devils holding a monopoly over the most effective one.
That's how I spent the rest of my time until now: recreating basic potions, taking care of my daughter, or doing my sagely duties, which brings us to now…
Now I am playing with my daughter while waiting for Sairoarg to come by for his new weekly batch of training potions, as well as a cleansing one that he needs to take to prevent his body from gaining resistance to the potion effects…
Why would Sairoarg himself come instead of sending one of his peerage? Well, because I told him I have a new deal for him, so yeah, he'll be coming either by himself or with Kuisha…
I can already feel it: this is going to be the start of something fun.

Hey guys. How's the story so far? Do you like it? Do you have anything to say about it? Do you want something added? You can comment what you want. And please write a review!
I am trying to stockpile chapters but it's so hard to do when you're using an old phone like mine to write while having a constant case of bad migraines—but it doesn't matter, I will do it and when I do I am going to have you write reviews for a bonus chapter 😝😝😝😝
