My head was hanging in exhaustion when the room doors suddenly burst open and Xander stormed in, his eyes locking on mine immediately.
He looked calm, too calm.
The type of calm before the storm.
For a moment he just stared at me and I saw something flash in his eyes but it was gone before I could make out what it was.
“What now?" I asked in boredom, deciding to break the silence.
Truth is I was hungry and tired. And the last thing I wanted was to be involved in any type of conversation with him.
Without another word, he slowly walked to me as he stopped in front of me and then he started removing the chains.
I watched him with a raised brow wondering what his plan was. Because he already made it clear that he was going to make my life here a living hell.
“Uhm, can you tell me what's going on? Is this the part where you kill me?" I asked and he laughed but there was nothing funny about the sound. It was a dark, humorless laugh.
