As soon as Xander said that, the women stood up as their eyes landed on me looking deadly and dangerous. They look thirsty for blood.
My blood.
My heart was beating so fast in my chest I'm sure they could all hear it.
What was I supposed to do? I didn't have the strength to fight any of these women. I hadn't eaten and the aftermath of watching Xander sleep with Adriana was still telling on me.
Long story short. I felt weak.
One of the women stepped forward, her eyes watching me like a predator watching its prey. Her eyes were so cold like she had some kind of grudge against me.
She gave a war cry before charging at me with full speed and I searched my brain thinking of what to do.
I couldn't allow myself to be humiliated like this. I couldn't give Xander the satisfaction of laughing at me.
Never.
The first blow came and I didn't have the time to dodge it when her fist landed on my cheek. It was a miracle my teeth didn't fall off.
