"Most of them are dangerous only!" Ryan speaks quietly, so that no one hears him, but Sarah was standing just next to him and had heard him out.
"Shut up! Idiot!" Sarah shouts at him by hitting Ryan on his head.
"What do you think, Emily?" Matthew asked.
"I don't know, Matthew." Emily turns to him, "It sounds different. Can we just go check it out?"
All of them kept looking at Matthew's face, waiting for his answer. If it's yes or no. Ryan was looking at his face and hoping for the answer to be 'No', as he didn't want to go inside the forest at this time of the day.
Matthew also hesitated at first, but eventually nodded his head, "Fine, we will go, but if it's just a raccoon or something, I'm blaming you for wasting our time."
"Okay!" Emily exclaimed with a slight smile on her face.
"Not only we will blame you but we want a cheesecake tomorrow from Endo's Bakery!" Sarah 0puts on her demand.
"Oi. Oi. Stop it for now!" Ethan gives a sarcastic look at her.
Meanwhile, Ryan kept starring Matthew with a straight face, when Matthew noticed him, he asks back with a weird face, "Why the hell are you looking at me like that?"
"Why the hell did you agreed?" Ryan asked.
"Because I was being bored!" Matthew replies.
"Asshole!"
"Okay. Let's go!" Matthew ignored Ryan and signed the others to start walking.
As they walked towards the forest, the atmosphere began to shift. A swift of tension blow up on their faces, both Ryan and Sarah were scared.
The air grew thick with an eerie, unsettling energy, and the large dense trees seemed to loom over them, casting long, ominous shadows.
"I shouldn't have come with you guys! What the hell I have done?" Sarah added, she was very much scared and now cursing herself for coming with the others.
"I already told you, it's a bad idea to go Inside the forest as this time of the day." Ryan speaks up followed by Sarah.
"Why the hell you had came around at first?" Sarah asked, she was still scared, looking around her every second, to make sure that nothing is following them especially her.
Matthew, who had been leading the way, suddenly stopped, his eyes scanning the surrounding area. He also seems to be a little bit of scared now. It was usual for them to be scared because they were walking inside the forest at the exact moment before getting dark.
"What happened?" Ethan asked.
"You guys heard that?" Matthew said, his voice low and cautious.
"Hear, what?" Ethan asked.
"Yeah! I just noticed!" Emily exclaimed, "I think the voice is getting more near to us!"
"Oi. Oi. Don't say such thing so casually." Ryan said, looking straight at Emily's face.
"Don't look at me like that!" Emily replied.
Suddenly, a more louder roar reached up to the group, Sarah become more afraid now , then she was earlier.
"Hey, let's get out of here. As soon as possible!" Sarah cried, looking Matthew.
Matthew's eyes locked onto the forest. "Yeah, you are right. I think we should get out of here."
"Let's go!" Ethan jumps in.
As they turned to leave, the roar they had heard earlier grew even more louder, more intense. It was a low, menacing growl, and it seemed to be coming from all around them.
Sarah screamed out loudly in fear as soon as she heard the roar. Emily quickly grabbed her mouth to shut her voice reaching up to those creatures inside the forest.
The group exchanged nervous glances, and suddenly Matthew speaks up loudly, "Get the hell out of here!"
"Yeah! I don't want to die here. I am still single!" Ethan added.
All of them quickly made their way back to the playground entrance. As they emerged into the bright sunlight, they breathed a collective sigh of relief.
"I don't know what that was," Emily said, her eyes still wide with fear, "but I'm glad we got out of there."
Matthew nodded in agreement. "Yeah, let's just forget about it and go home."
"Don't ever try to do such kind of shits again in your life." Sarah shouts at Matthew after coming out from there.
"You also had suggested to go up there and look for it!" Matthew also shouts back at Sarah with the same facial expression.
"Okay. Now, we came out of the forest safely." Ethan pulls Matthew from there, "Let's get back to home, it's already getting dark."
"Yeah! Let's go!" Emily added.
They started walking away from the playground without wasting any second, while going home they were still arguing with each other for their last action.
"I want two cheesecakes tomorrow!" Sarah added.
"Hey, you asked for one at first!" Ryan said.
"If you don't want two cheesecakes, then shut up!"
"Okay. I'm sorry!"
As soon as they parted away, the forest stirred with an unusual rustle, as it seems that something massive was lurking within. It didn't feel like just one creature, but a large group of them, hidden in the shadows, watching silently from the depths.
