The very previous day, the group was discussing about some random stuff in the playground at the Southwestern Side of their Town.
It was about 0530 of the Evening Time and the sun had just set, while the sky had not turned dark yet completely.
They were discussing about the situation of the very same day, when Matthew and Victor had got on a heated argument during their lunch break.
Emily and Sarah were sitting on the two seats of a swing, Matthew and Ethan were sitting on the iron bars of the balancing beam, and Ryan was sitting on one side of the seesaw.
The three were nearer to each other and they would often sit there to talk with each other, rather than in any other area of that playground.
Victor is their classmate, but he and his friends had never been on common terms with Matthew's group. Both of them would always try to mock each other in every situation.
"I still can't believe you took on Victor," Ryan said, grinning. "He's been asking for it, though."
Matthew shrugged, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I just got tired of his mouth."
"But still, why did you started a fight with him?" Sarah added.
"Yeah! You could have just…!" Ethan was going to say something but suddenly stops himself to think of his idea again.
"Just what? Dance with him!" Matthew said.
Ethan didn't said anything, he just nodded his head to agree with Matthew's words.
"Shut up!" Matthew replies back to him with a red hot face.
"Yeah! Don't you know, he can't dance!" Ryan just adds up a joke to make the situation funny.
Matthew didn't said anything, he just looks at Ryan with an angry face. Ryan noticed him and quickly apologized to him, "Sorry!"
"Thank God, you didn't break his teeth or nose!" Emily again adds random things casually in their conversation.
"Oi. Oi. Oi. Why the hell you always add up dangerous things casually in a conversation?" Ryan replies back quickly interrupting her.
"Why the hell, you listened to those things carefully?" Ethan shouts at him.
"Will you guys stay quiet for a while?" Sarah shouts at both Ethan and Ryan.
Suddenly, the three of them again starts arguing with each other, changing up the topic again within seconds as it is their regular thing to do.
But at that moment, a wild roar comes out of the forest, except Emily no one noticed it. They kept on arguing with each other. Emily also had ignored it for the first time, thinking it to be the roar of some wild animals of the forest.
"See Matthew, you beat up Victor today!" Ryan added, trying to explain some kind of possible outcome to his group.
"Yeah! I fought with him, but why the hell you are repeating that same thing again and again?" Matthew asked.
Listen! You beat him today, tomorrow he might try to beat you!" Ryan said.
"So, we will also fight along with Matthew against him!" Ethan added.
"We?" Ryan asked.
"Yeah we!" Ethan exclaimed, "You and me! Otherwise, who the hell is there in our group to fight with Victor's gang!"
"Emily's there, Sarah also!" Ryan added.
"They are girls, Asshole!" Ethan shouts at him.
"Are you guys done!" Sarah added, still looking at the two boys.
"Why?" Ryan asked.
"Why, why?" Sarah had also started shouting at him, "It's almost getting dark, and we are getting late for home!"
"Okay. Okay." Ryan didn't say anything more.
And then Emily, who had been quietly listening to the conversation, suddenly sat up straight, her eyes wide with concern.
She had heard another roar coming out of the forest, while the others hadn't noticed this time.
Matthew noticed her and asked, "Hey, Emily! Everything okay?"
"Do you guys hear that?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. The others also looked at her in confusion.
"Hear what?" Sarah asked.
"What did you heard?" Ethan asked.
"Don't say it's some kind of dangerous wild animal!" Ryan said.
"Shut up!" Ethan replied quickly, without turning to him.
"Hey Emily! What did you heard?" Matthew asked again.
"Yeah!" Sarah added, "We didn't even noticed it because of our argument!"
All of them were still looking at Emily's tensed face, she would always sense some kind of danger before the other could do. Her friends always praise because, she is the only one who is always more cautious than the others in the group.
"It may be a tiger or something!" Ryan added.
Ethan turns to him with annoyed eyes and asked, "Seriously!"
"What?" Ryan asked him back.
"Have you ever seen one or heard about a tiger attacking any one who goes into forest for collecting woods?"
"I don't know!"
"You two, just shut up!" Sarah added angrily.
Emily's eyes darted nervously towards the forest. "That sound. It sounds like…I don't know, something wild." She neither blinked nor turned her head, since she had heard that unusual roar coming from the other.
Matthew thinks of something for few seconds and then rolled his eyes towards the others.
"It maybe a wild animal, Emily. Don't worry about it." He added.
"Yeah! He's right!" Ryan quickly agreed with Matthew's statement, "It's common for a wild animal roaring in the forest!"
But Emily's expression remained uneasy. Everyone's eyes were stuck at Emily's still tensed face, looking towards the forest, as if something dangerous is out there in the forest.
"Hey, Emily. Are you alright?" Sarah asked.
"Sometime your senses make us worry about the situation!" Ethan said.
"Yeah!" Sarah said, "That's true, we can't do anything about it. It's like a gift for her!"
Emily finally rolls her eyes downward for a second and then again turns to her friends and said, "Sometime, it's like a curse also!"
"Yeah! Sensing something, and not being able to explain about the danger or the other problems to the peoples!" Sarah added.
