Chapter 121: Blackbeard, Dead!

"They're fighting over there, Teach has shown up!"

Whitey Bay's subordinates quickly ran to Roy as he returned to the ship.

"I know. Secure the money. The Beasts Pirates will call soon, make sure to answer. I'll go kill that bastard, Teach, and come back," Roy's tone was eerily calm.

"Y-Yes, sir!"

The most ruthless words were spoken in the blandest tone. The moment Roy began loading bullets into his gun, it was clear, his killing intent was real.

Roy could joke around normally, but when he was serious, he was the Whitebeard Pirates' true enforcer, the actual decision-maker after Whitebeard himself. When Whitebeard wasn't around, Roy's words were law.

Roy stepped off the ship.

On the island, the fighting raged on. Blackbeard had teamed up with Law, and with the addition of the Coby, who had been hiding aboard the Rocky Port, three forces surrounded and attacked Wang Zhi.

Coby's goal was to protect the civilians held hostage on the Rock Port. At a critical moment, he had teamed up with Law to ambush Wang Zhi

Wang Zhi was from the same era as Whitebeard, he was already over seventy.

Haki is a manifestation of one's willpower, but it also consumes stamina.

In that sense, it was similar to Devil Fruit abilities. Haki was, in essence, the life force within a person. The stronger one's vitality, the more powerful their Haki.

But for the elderly, waning stamina meant their Haki couldn't last long.

A person's prime was usually in their forties, the peak of physical condition.

Now facing a three-way assault, Wang Zhi was clearly struggling, along with Teach and Law's powers, put him at a major disadvantage.

"Zehahahaha!!"

"Thanks for the help, Marine!" Blackbeard grinned at Koby.

Coby had unintentionally helped him. Though he detested working with pirates, he knew the greater threat was Wang Zhi.

"Mm." Coby nodded.

Suddenly, Blackbeard felt a chill run down his spine and instinctively dodged.

Whoosh!

A bullet shot clean through his chest.

It hit a building nearby, and in the next instant, a massive explosion erupted, flames engulfed half the island.

"Who?!" Teach clutched his chest, collapsed on the ground, and writhed in pain. After a few moments, he forced himself to look toward the bullet's origin.

"It pierced through… Might need to dial back the power," said a calm voice as footsteps approached. A cloaked figure emerged.

"Who are you?" Teach panted, breathing heavily.

Bang!

Another bullet shot toward the figure from above; it was Van Augur on the ship.

But though the cloaked man's movement seemed slow, the moment the bullet neared him, he shot it down midair. The stray bullet pierced Van Augur's forehead and exploded the ship behind him.

"Pathetic insects," the cloaked man said as smoke curled from his gun barrel. His hat slid off.

Everyone froze. Then, sweat poured down their backs.

"You—?!" Koby's voice trembled.

Law gritted his teeth. "Why is he here?!"

"Newgate's right hand…" Wang Zhi narrowed his eyes.

"O-Augur… You're… Big Bro?!" Teach couldn't even mourn for Van Augur. The moment Roy's face was revealed, his heart sank into despair.

"I gave you a chance. You wasted it. This time, you won't escape."

Roy's gaze was colder than the depths of the ocean. This was the real Roy, the one who looked down on everything. Before becoming a father, Roy had been like this. Only after having a child did he start feeling like part of this world.

But now, the true Roy had returned.

The moment that indifferent expression appeared, left everyone breathless. Both Law and Koby felt an oppressive weight, as if their knees were about to buckle under sheer dread.

"What kind of eyes are those? How can someone have that kind of gaze?!"

Coby remembered the war at Egghead Island months ago. He hadn't even participated, Roy's Conqueror's Haki had knocked him unconscious before he could do anything. When he woke up, the battle was over, and his idol, Vice Admiral Garp, had been defeated.

The man before him had crushed Garp, replaced Whitebeard as an Emperor, and held a bounty of 4.5 billion berries.

He had defeated both Big Mom and Kaido.

And now, he was here.

"Did you come… for me?!" Teach gasped through clenched teeth, clutching his chest. "How did you know I was here?!"

"Fate, I suppose," Roy said flatly. "I came to buy something, never expected to run into you. Teach, is this your misfortune… or your destiny?"

Roy slowly raised his gun, pointing it straight at Teach's head.

"Big Bro! I was wrong! I admit it! I'll return and accept punishment, whatever you want! Just spare me! I know secrets! I can tell you!" Teach begged.

"Oh?" Roy smiled coldly. "What kind of secrets? Amuse me."

"The reason I attacked this place it's because there's a chunk of something here. On it is a record of the whereabouts of one of the three Ancient Weapons, Uranus! With it, you can uncover its secrets!"

"Uranus, huh? I already know. The Celestial Dragons have it. It requires the Celestial Dragons' National Treasure to activate. As for energy… they're still short." Roy said casually.

Everyone was stunned by his words.

'He… already knew?'

"The three Ancient Weapons, the four Road Poneglyphs, I know where they all are. But so what? It's useless to me. Even if I had them now, what difference would it make? Uranus is already in the hands of the Celestial Dragons. I know far more than you." Roy said with a mocking tone.

His voice was calm, but the people around him felt as if they were struck by lightning.

He knew the locations of all three Ancient Weapons?

And the four Road Poneglyphs?!

He wasn't lying; he really knew.

If he wanted to… the Whitebeard Pirates could become the new Pirate King crew.

"Y-You know everything?!" Teach's eyes widened in disbelief.

"It's no big secret. But you? You're useless." Roy replied.

"I—"

BANG!

The gunshot echoed.

Teach, still kneeling, snapped his head back as blood sprayed from his forehead.

Everyone stared, frozen in disbelief.

The mighty Blackbeard, the man who had betrayed Whitebeard, shaken the world, had just been killed with one shot.

"…Trouble's coming," Roy said, looking up at the sky.

Everyone instinctively followed his gaze, and their pupils dilated in shock, adrenaline surging.

Something terrifying was on its way.
