Roy didn't know how Law was feeling at this moment, but he was having a great time.
This guy was smart, cunning, and slippery. But in the face of absolute power, all he could do was kneel.
"Have you made up your mind? And you, Navy boy, hehe." Roy turned toward Coby.
Both Law and Coby were key players in the Rocky Port incident. But with Roy's interference, Blackbeard was dead, Wang Zhi was still alive, and now these two were left. Roy could kill them both without a second thought.
He was a pirate, after all. Why should he care about them? Keeping them alive served no purpose. He wasn't bound by plot or any so-called story anymore.
Without the system or Whitebeard's restraints, and with the Marineford War having never happened, Roy had already changed the world drastically.
He was the butterfly flapping its wings, except what he stirred wasn't just a breeze, but a hurricane reshaping everything.
"I'm not going to kill you, but don't even think about running. Be good and come over here," Roy said.
Coby, Law, and Wang Zhi all realized, he wasn't talking to them.
Four members of the Blackbeard Pirates had survived earlier. Roy had fired three shots. That meant one was still alive.
He wasn't Garp, and Blackbeard wasn't Kuzan. No one here could stop him.
Two figures came stumbling out, Shiryu, unharmed, and Catarina Devon, missing a leg and being supported by Shiryu.
Shiryu looked at Roy and took a deep breath. "Why didn't you kill—"
Bang!
A bullet went through his head. Shiryu fell stiffly to the ground.
Everyone was stunned. Devon's eyes widened in disbelief.
"I let you live just so you could drag her out. Otherwise, what use are you?" Roy sneered.
Devon stood frozen, completely lost.
"You ate the Kitsune Fruit, right?" Roy asked.
"Y-Yes," she replied, trembling on one leg.
"Your abilities are still somewhat useful. I'll spare you for now."
"What… does that mean?"
"It means you get to live."
Everyone was baffled.
Roy hadn't even been on the battlefield for long, and yet his arrival alone had completely flipped everything. An Emperor showed up, and it was a one-sided slaughter.
"Now it's your turn. Have you thought it over?" Roy turned to Law.
"What if I refuse?" Law asked, taking a deep breath.
"Then you die."
"Your crew stays here. Wang Zhi will take good care of them. Sounds fair, right?" Roy said to Wang Zhi.
"No problem."
Wang Zhi had collaborated with the Whitebeard Pirates countless times. He'd dealt with Roy before. At his age, he had long lost any ambitions. Roy could've killed him easily, so he'd rather go with the flow.
"So, Captain Law… you wouldn't want your crew to become slaves, would you?" Roy grinned.
Law was drenched in sweat.
At that moment, Roy noticed something and looked toward a shadowed alleyway. A tall figure emerged, and the temperature dropped.
"Well, look who it is."
Roy's voice drew everyone's attention.
"ROOM!"
Law had already been prepared. He instantly activated his Room and enveloped himself and his crew.
"Hmph."
Roy snorted.
Conqueror's Haki roared outward. Law's Room shattered instantly. His crew, moments away from teleporting, were forcefully yanked out by Roy's overwhelming Haki.
"Trying to run? Did I say you could?" Roy's gaze was chilling.
Law crashed to the ground hard. He couldn't even move. Roy's Haki pressed him into the ground.
Then Roy turned his attention to the approaching figure. Everyone else paled in fear.
"Former Marine Admiral Aokiji?!"
"Didn't he join the Whitebeard Pirates?!"
"Is he here to attack Hachinosu too?!"
"We should just surrender, Whitebeard's crew is here!"
"Just passing by. Never been to the legendary Hachinosu, figured I'd take a look. Didn't expect this." Kuzan shrugged.
"You're not here to ruin my plans, are you?" Roy asked.
"Nope. I don't even know what you're doing. But you wiped out the Blackbeard Pirates, why'd you leave Catarina Devon alive?" Kuzan glanced at Devon.
"She has her uses."
"I get the feeling that's not a good thing. Can I take this guy?" Kuzan pointed to Coby.
"You're not a Marine anymore."
"Yeah… true. It's complicated. Let me think of a reason… hmm…"
Kuzan started mumbling, his usual carefree self.
Roy didn't bother with him. That was just how Kuzan was.
He was here for Coby. The kid was Garp's new protégé, his junior. Probably heard the rumors and came to check.
Plus, Koby was part of SWORD, Kuzan's former unit.
Roy turned his attention back to Law. Time to deal with him first.
Law activated his Room again, enclosing only himself and Roy inside.
Roy wasn't worried. Law's abilities couldn't overcome his Haki.
Haki surpassed Devil Fruit powers. Even Sugar's Hobby Hobby fruit would be useless against him.
To the outside world, it looked like Law was speaking, but no sound escaped.
When Law finally dispelled the Room, Roy looked at him with interest.
This time, Law quickly used his powers and escaped. Roy let him go without interference.
"I really can't think of an excuse," Kuzan said, looking at Roy.
"Then get him out of here. I'll spare him, for your sake." Roy smirked.
Coby had top-tier growth potential, but Roy never believed he'd surpass him.
This kid had caused enough trouble already. Roy had no use for him.
"Alright, you can head back now," Kuzan said coolly.
"Mr. Kuzan! Did you really join the pirates?"
"I… not really," Kuzan hesitated, then said, "Let's say, I'm just a man seeking freedom now."
"Mr. Kuzan!"
"Head back."
Coby glanced between Kuzan and Roy. Roy flashed him a grin.
Coby stumbled back in fear, then turned and ran with the Marines.
Now only Roy, Kuzan, Wang Zhi, and Wang Zhi's crew remained.
"You came here just to kill Blackbeard's crew?" Wang Zhi asked.
"Nope. Like I said, I came to buy something. Have the Beasts Pirates arrived yet? We were supposed to make a deal here. If they're late, I might get impatient and kill someone," Roy replied.
"Beasts Pirates?" Wang Zhi blinked.
Kuzan, however, understood the seastone deal. He'd witnessed it firsthand.
"Screeeee!!!"
A sharp whistle echoed overhead, something flew by and landed on a nearby building.
"The goods have arrived."
