"You call yourself a genius wizard, right?"
Nick Fury looked at Mo curiously: "Then can you break Odin's magic and lift this hammer?"
"Hmm…"
Hearing this, Mo instinctively rubbed his chin.
Actually, he was quite interested in Thor's hammer. After all, now that he had transmigrated into the Marvel universe, he definitely wanted to experience all those iconic scenes.
Besides, that was Mjolnir, Thor's beloved hammer. Who could resist trying to lift it?
"Alright, let's lift it."
Without hesitation, Mo rolled up his sleeves.
As someone who had read the original story, he knew very well what special traits Thor's hammer possessed.
According to the spell Odin placed on the hammer, only someone with a pure heart, compassion, and the character worthy of becoming the King of Asgard could lift it and wield the power of thunder.
In the original work, besides Thor, Captain America—Steve Rogers—once lifted Mjolnir in *Avengers: Endgame*. With the uru hammer and the vibranium shield, he even landed a few solid hits on Thanos' head, amazing audiences everywhere. Truly, Captain America lived up to his "Marvel's 50-50 split" reputation—his combat power was phenomenal.
Of course, besides Captain America, some fans speculated that Black Widow (Natasha) could also lift Mjolnir, but the original material never confirmed this, so we'll set that aside for now.
Based on these examples, it could be deduced that lifting the hammer required a flawless character.
Mo thought about it and figured he probably wasn't quite up to that standard.
Even though he had once passionately sworn off gambling and drugs, pledging before heaven itself, that probably wasn't enough for Mjolnir.
Fortunately, Mo had Steve as a "cheat code."
As the ruler of the Minecraft world, Steve had godlike strength.
This was a being who could carry half the moon in his backpack and still move as lightly as if he were walking on air. Mo figured Mjolnir, being forged from a dying star, should be comparable to carrying a moon, right?
With that thought, Mo summoned Steve with a mere flicker of his mind, the figure materializing like a ghost behind him.
But before using Steve, Mo decided to try himself first.
He slowly reached out and grasped the hammer's handle. In the next second, a purplish glow began to surround him as he exerted enough strength to lift tens of tons instantly on the hammer.
However, Odin's enchantment was truly formidable. Mo's legs were already buried into the ground, yet the hammer didn't budge. Even when he tried to rip the rock underneath it apart, an invisible force stopped him—clearly, it was divine magic at work.
"No good?"
Seeing this, Nick Fury asked directly: "Even you can't lift it?"
"Shut up! Don't say I can't get it up!"
Mo snapped angrily, then immediately commanded Steve into action.
Steve switched to a pickaxe and began mining the rock base under Mjolnir. Soon, cracks appeared, and with a *thud*, the entire base crumbled away.
Losing its support, Mjolnir fell to the ground.
Yet, at the instant it touched down, without any warning, the hammer acted like a dropped item—getting sucked directly into Steve's body. In his inventory, a new hammer appeared.
"Huh?"
Nick Fury was stunned: "…Where's the hammer?"
Mo didn't answer, focused instead on inspecting the hammer in Steve's inventory.
Honestly, it was the first time Steve had collected an item from the real world. Even Mo was surprised and hurried to check Mjolnir.
However, something strange happened.
While the item name showed as "Mjolnir," all other attributes were unreadable, just a mess of garbled text—completely incomprehensible.
Mo tried having Steve use the hammer, but it was utterly useless.
No matter if he left-clicked or right-clicked, it was as if Steve was holding nothing. The hammer was essentially dead weight. It reminded Mo of unfinished Minecraft mods where test items had no functionality.
Thinking it over, Mo had Steve pass the hammer back to him.
This test behaved more normally.
Since Mjolnir already existed in reality, it didn't materialize when handed over. However, as soon as Mo grasped it, an overwhelming gravitational force surged through him.
Startled, Mo immediately let go, and with a *thud*, the hammer hit the ground.
"Emmm…"
Mo stared at Mjolnir lying on the ground and got mad: "Forget it, I'm just going to destroy this thing. Damn it, where's my lava?"
"Wait a second…"
Seeing this, Nick Fury quickly covered his forehead and tried to dissuade him: "Didn't you technically just lift it? And you said this thing is Thor's weapon! Aren't you worried the gods will be pissed if you destroy it?"
"Otherwise, it's just going to get destroyed sooner or later."
While speaking, Mo was already controlling Steve to dig a pit for pouring lava.
Yet, something unexpected happened.
When Steve dug a one-meter-square hole, a miniature block appeared on the ground.
"Huh?"
Seeing the tiny block, Mo was utterly shocked: "…What the hell!?"
"What now?"
Nick Fury was completely confused. He even suspected the hammer might be cursed—that whoever tried to lift it would instantly become mentally unstable. Otherwise, why did Mo keep reacting so dramatically?
"How is this even possible?"
Staring at the mini block, Mo was genuinely astonished: "This function wasn't here before! My stand-in hasn't even been shot by an arrow, so why did it suddenly evolve!?"
"Could you speak in a language the rest of us can understand?"
Nick Fury clearly couldn't see Steve or the mini block. He covered his face in frustration: "One moment you're digging, the next you're talking to yourself. I'm seriously considering calling you a psychiatrist… or maybe just getting you some tranquilizers?"
"Hold that thought—I think I've just discovered the secrets of sorcery…"
Mo didn't have time to argue with Fury. After all, Steve's ability to harvest real-world resources was a big deal. He had to study it immediately. Waving a hand to silence Fury's questions, Mo turned his full attention to Steve.
Controlling Steve, he had him walk over to the mini block.
With a *pop*, the block was absorbed into Steve's body.
Seeing the new addition to Steve's inventory, Mo's face lit up with surprise.
