I'm Craving Nonsense

"Hmm? What's this…"

Feeling a faint warmth within his body, Mo couldn't help but be stunned.

Since awakening his Stand, Steve, Mo's body had been datafied, and he hadn't felt anything like this for a long time.

"Could this thing actually work?"

Mo looked suspiciously at the pile of green pulp on the ground.

After being chewed by Mo, the essence berries seemed to have lost their original vitality. The green pulp looked sticky and dull, no longer brilliant and translucent.

"..."

Mo stared at the green goo for a long time, before finally making a reluctant decision.

"Screw it! Let's try again!"

With a thought, Steve handed over another bunch of sparkling essence berries.

Mo took the berries, held his breath, and stuffed the entire bunch into his mouth. He didn't dare chew — he simply tilted his head back and swallowed them whole.

Once swallowed, the essence berries turned into a cool, fruity juice that flowed down his throat.

Immediately afterward, an unusual sensation of power surged through his body.

It was as if he had spent the whole night shivering outside his girlfriend's house in the middle of winter with no results, and the next second he plunged into a hot spring bath. The mildly hot water soaked through his body, melting away every ounce of fatigue from both body and soul, and replacing it with an unprecedented comfort.

Mo wasn't sure if his datafied body still had things like muscles, blood, or even cells.

But he could clearly feel something inside him rejoicing, almost like it was welcoming a new life — a magnificent sensation that was simply addictive.

This feeling came quickly — and faded just as fast.

After just a few minutes, the warmth inside Mo gradually dissipated.

"..."

Mo hesitated slightly.

He had to admit — that feeling was really worth savoring.

But… getting addicted to eating this disgusting stuff could be a serious problem. Despite how beautiful essence berries looked, they tasted absolutely vile — almost like the devil's fruit.

Still, despite their awful taste, the essence berries confirmed Mo's suspicions.

The "real-world" essence berries *could* genuinely make him stronger.

Even though he'd only eaten one, Mo could feel himself becoming slightly more powerful.

"This is bad… I'm actually thinking about eating more…"

At this thought, Mo couldn't help but hold his forehead: "Everyone laughs at Lao Ba, but everyone *is* Lao Ba…"

It was worth noting that essence berry bushes in the MC world had a high yield. Just this time, Mo had brought an entire stack of bushes with him.

But the idea of swallowing down a whole bunch of these revolting things was still hard for him to accept.

Thus, he struggled internally for quite some time.

In the end, his thirst for power triumphed over his protesting taste buds.

Mo viciously pinched his nose shut, and began stuffing handful after handful of essence berries into his mouth. Soon, the room echoed with the spine-chilling sounds of frantic swallowing.

Even for Mo, eating a whole bellyful of essence berries was a serious ordeal.

So in the end, he had Steve hand him two roasted potatoes. While chewing, he quietly savored the changes happening within his body.

It had to be said — after eating an entire stack of essence berries, the transformation was quite clear. Mo could distinctly feel a surging sense of power inside him.

At this moment, he was stronger than he had ever been before.

"Alright, let's give it a try."

Thinking for a moment, Mo decided to do a quick test. He summoned Steve with a thought.

Following Mo's silent command, Steve calmly placed a stone on the ground.

The next second, Mo threw a punch like a bolt of lightning. With a deafening boom, the hard rock instantly shattered into countless deep cracks. Then, with a loud crash, the stone completely disintegrated — shards flying like cannonballs and smashing the room's partitions to pieces.

The commotion quickly attracted a stampede of footsteps outside.

"What happened?!"

Agent Coulson was the first to rush in. "Mr. Mo! Are you alright?"

Right behind him, Hawkeye also burst in, bow in hand, scanning the room vigilantly as if searching for an enemy, his face full of caution.

A squad of agents followed soon after, but finding no enemy, they all looked thoroughly confused.

"Was it that guy attacking?"

Coulson looked around, puzzled by the lack of battle marks, and turned to Mo with a bewildered expression: "Mr. Mo, did he… escape?"

"Uh, well…"

Mo scratched his chin, "I know you're anxious, but calm down for a second…"

"How can we not be anxious?!" Coulson asked nervously. "Was he trying to steal the hammer? How strong is he? Are you hurt?"

"I already said it — I'm invincible."

Seeing how serious Coulson was, Mo felt a little bad for teasing him, so he explained: "Relax, Thor hasn't come to steal the hammer yet. What just happened was me testing a new sorcery: the Flowing Rock Shatter Fist."

"That doesn't sound much like sorcery," Hawkeye couldn't help but remark. "That sounds like straight-up martial arts."

"Don't sweat the details," Mo waved it off. "If science can't explain it, then it's sorcery!"

"I honestly thought that guy showed up."

After hearing Mo's explanation, Coulson finally sighed in relief. "Considering he calls himself the God of Thunder, I was worried he'd fall from the sky, raise his hammer, and blast us all to ashes before flying off like it was nothing…"

"Don't worry, that guy's powers are sealed — he's nothing special right now."

Mo laughed and reassured Coulson: "At best, he's just slightly stronger than an ordinary person. You could kill him with a gun. No need to be too worried."

"His powers are sealed inside the hammer?"

Coulson speculated curiously: "So he's desperate to retrieve it because it's the only way he can regain his divine power?"

"Relax. He can't even lift it."

Mo said: "He got too cocky, so his old man punished him. It's a kind of trial — if he doesn't pass, he stays powerless."

"Then why is he still coming here?" Hawkeye asked, unable to hold back.

"He doesn't know any of this."

Mo shrugged: "You think everyone's a fortune teller? People like me — who can predict the heavens, understand fate, commune with the spirits, and have direct access to divine knowledge and the underworld — are one in a billion!"

"..."

At this, Coulson didn't even know how to respond.

But just then, a special agent ran up and whispered a few words in Coulson's ear — apparently, they had spotted a suspicious vehicle parked on a nearby hillside and were asking how to proceed.

"Well, now he really *has* arrived."

After hearing the report, Coulson looked up and said to Mo.
