A Little Competition?

"What… is this?"

Seeing a person suddenly appear out of thin air in the interrogation room, Coulson was completely stunned.

Yes, the person who appeared was none other than Thor's brother — Loki.

According to the plot of *Thor 1*, he had come here specifically to deceive Thor. While Thor was still powerless, Loki planned to fabricate a lie that Odin had been angered to death by him, and throw all the blame onto Thor. In Loki's view, once his reckless brother heard this, he would surely spiral into helpless rage.

At that point, Thor would completely lose the qualification to lift Mjölnir and would remain a mortal on Earth forever.

That way, no one could compete with Loki for the throne of Asgard.

However, it seemed Loki's plan had hit a snag. After delivering his false story and turning to leave, he happened to spot a sharp-edged monster standing silently in the corner.

The thing stood there completely still, devoid of any signs of life, looking incredibly eerie.

Suddenly seeing such a thing startled Loki so much that he instinctively entered a combat stance and threw a dagger at it.

It was precisely because of this scene that Thor had earlier asked Loki what was wrong, utterly confused.

But to be fair, Loki wasn't very good at direct combat. His thrown dagger was like a toy, completely unable to harm the creature.

On the contrary, the sharp-edged monster merely moved its right hand slightly and sent Loki stumbling backward.

After being attacked, Loki's illusion naturally broke down.

That's why Coulson and the other agents were finally able to spot him.

Meanwhile, as the agents were still confused, Mo had already arrived at the door of the interrogation room. Without waiting for any reaction, he simply opened the door and walked right in.

Coulson hesitated for a moment, then quickly followed.

"What is today, some kind of Nine Realms Festival?" Mo said as soon as he entered. "How come both of Odin's precious sons have shown up on Earth?"

As he spoke, his Stand, Steve, quietly returned to his side.

"Who are you?"

Loki stared at Mo warily. "No… what exactly are you?"

"I'm Mo,"

Mo replied straightforwardly. "Also known as the Fourth Calamity."

"…"

Loki narrowed his eyes instinctively.

Of course, he didn't recognize Mo. In fact, if it weren't for that sharp-edged monster, he would have thought Mo was just an ordinary mortal. But now it was obvious that Mo was anything but normal. Loki couldn't sense any energy from him at all — which, ironically, made him even more suspicious.

But direct confrontation wasn't really Loki's style, especially since Mo was accompanied by a bunch of troublesome mortals.

After some thought, Loki immediately cast a spell.

An illusion of himself remained where he stood while his real body turned invisible and began retreating quietly.

However, Mo and his Stand shared vision.

Loki could see Mo, likely because of his strong spiritual energy. Strangely though, Steve could also see the invisible Loki. Maybe Asgardian illusions didn't work on Stands?

Regardless, Mo spoke impatiently: "Alright, enough with the hide-and-seek tricks."

"Huh? What?"

Coulson looked utterly confused. Loki was still standing right in front of him — or so he thought. He asked, bewildered, "Who… are you talking to?"

Hearing Mo's words, Loki's movements froze.

"You can see him?"

Even Thor, still seated, looked stunned.

"My Stand has been watching you for a while now," Mo said, arms crossed, staring directly at Loki's real location. "Honestly, I'm not even sure if I still have something like a 'kidney' left…"

"…"

Loki hesitated for a moment but finally dispelled his illusion.

"This…"

Seeing Loki transform from an illusion into reality right before his eyes, Coulson's eyes widened in shock — it was his first time witnessing the bizarre nature of magic.

For some reason, an ominous feeling welled up inside Coulson.

Unlike the so-called "God of Thunder" (who Coulson still thought might just be delusional), this new arrival genuinely felt like a massive threat.

"Um... who is he exactly?"

Coulson couldn't help but ask Mo.

"Loki, the God of Mischief and Lies," Mo explained. "You Westerners believe in gods, don't you? Never heard of the famous Loki?"

"Uh…"

Coulson hesitated. "We mostly believe in Jesus over here."

"Oh, I see." Mo nodded, then suddenly asked, "Then tell me, who do you think is stronger — Odin or Jesus?"

"Huh?"

At that, not only Coulson, but even Thor and Loki froze. After all, Odin was their father — and here someone was casually comparing him to another god right in front of his sons?

"Uh…"

Coulson was at a loss. He was currently facing off against two gods, and suddenly being asked this kind of question just felt wrong.

But before he could think of a diplomatic answer, Mo continued talking to himself: "Honestly, I think Odin is probably stronger."

"Of course! Father is the All-Father, ruler of the gods!"

Thor blurted out instinctively.

But then he immediately remembered the 'death' of his father — allegedly caused by Thor's own recklessness — and sank back into sorrow: "Father's glory will forever shine across the Nine Realms…"

"Mhm, so you all think Odin is stronger too, huh?"

Mo nodded with a smile, then continued, "It makes sense… You see, in mythology, Odin wanted to wipe out all the Frost Giants, whereas the Bible says Jesus wanted to wipe out all the unrighteous. Now, I've seen plenty of unrighteous people, but I've *never* seen a Frost Giant."

While speaking, Mo deliberately gave Loki a smile.

"Don't you agree?"

"…"

Hearing the words "Frost Giant," Thor and Loki immediately fell silent.

Thor's silence was because he remembered his impulsive attack on the Frost Giants, which nearly ignited a war between Jotunheim and Asgard — and how that reckless act, along with his disobedience, supposedly drove Odin to death. Now he was full of guilt and self-recrimination, even beginning to reflect seriously on his former arrogance.

Maybe his father was right after all — he really was just a madman obsessed with honor and war, unable to understand love and peace.

However, Loki's situation was different.

He **definitely** felt like Mo was deliberately picking on him.
