Two Heroes, I-Island Visit

I-Expo: yearly sci-fi wet dream on the artificial I-Island.

It's a whole other planet compared to the mainland. From above, skyscrapers gleam with futuristic swagger, sharp lines, glass everywhere. The island's packed with attractions: tech demos, pavilions, the works and so on. Before hopping off the plane, me, Izuku, and All Might - who I'd barged in on out of nosiness and got roped into this mess with - triple-checked the essentials. Izuku's hero costume? Cleared. Random paperwork bullshit? Sorted.

Everything's on track. Mostly. I-Expo's a side movie in the canon, not mainline, but it slots in just before the forest camp arc. Close enough to matter.

I almost asked Himiko to morph into All Might's beefed-up form for shits and giggles for fun, but then stopped myself because this stupid act will reveal his motherfucking secret.

One For All's willpower-driven, not passive, and that "residual flame" keeps him jacked. She'd just get his blood and turn into his initial bony skeleton version. Hard pass.

Still, she's as hyped as I am, though she's edgy about the new turf. And next? She transform into me after a blood-sucking session - stripping bare, gulping my blood in a pose that's NOT SAFE FOR WORK and hot as hell. Praying no one caught that, or All Might's fist is my next stop.

We deplane, clear immigration, and All Might quizzes Izuku on I-Island intel. Kid's muttering kicks in - shocker - and I'm fine with it. Himiko, strolling beside me, looks… amuse, head swiveling like a tourist.

First thing that hits me? The view is stunning as fuck. Blue sky, fluffy clouds, sea glittering like diamonds and those towering, sleek buildings. Straight out of a sci-fi flick. Himiko's eyes go wide, darting around like a kid in a candy store. I grin at the sight, slipping my hand into hers, and damn she grabs it fast.

"Wow…" she breathes, gawking at the skyline and attractions. "This place is insane! Way bigger than I pictured!"

"Yep," I reply, glancing her way. "International science fair, not some rinky-dink theme park. Of course it has to be massive."

"You're right," she giggles, nodding. "Can't wait to check it out! And how about you?"

I smirk lightly. "Same, my dear..."

It's not far off the original beat. All Might gets mobbed by fans - ants on a busted hive - then Melissa Shield rolls up, multi-tool pogo stick in tow. Her "Uncle Might" greeting throws me, Himiko, and Izuku for a loop - warm, weird, and a little awkward all at once.

After the warm, long-overdue catch-up, All Might pivots with that big grin of his, ushering the three of us forward to meet Melissa. "Midoriya, Onodera, and… Toga," he booms, gesturing to Izuku, me, and Himiko - who's currently rocking my appearance thanks to her Quirk. Melissa's all smiles with Izuku, bouncing over to check out his hero costume up close - way too close. She's poking at the fabric, muttering tech jargon, and the poor guy's blushing so hard he's practically a tomato. I stifle a smirk. Kid's a mess.

Then her gaze slides to me and Himiko - two identical Ryugas standing side by side, but with different names…

Her brow furrows, confusion flickering across her face. "Uh… okay, what's the deal here?" she asks, voice bright but edged with suspicion.

I step in smooth, keeping it vague. "Her Quirk is…kinda unique. It let her pull off some wild cosplay tricks, but it's got its downsides. All Might brought us along partly to see if we could figure out a costume to fix ." No need to spill the full "naked transformation" saga; she'll get the gist.

Melissa's eyes light up, curiosity piqued. "Oh, that sounds like a fun challenge! I bet my dad could help you with it." She claps her hands, already sold. "Let's rope him in!"

Before we trail after her, I pull a fast one, play up some fake foresight pose - like I've got a second Quirk (total bullshit as i said, but they don't know that for sure). I lock eyes with All Might, lowering my voice. "Sensei, heads-up. Some asshole criminals are gonna crash this place tonight. Be prepared…"It's all ripped straight from my pre-isekai movie memory, I-Expo's chaos is made by Wolfram - that motherfucker - and the stupidity of David Shield.

"Just a gut feeling," I add, winking.

All Might's face tightens, but he nods, sharp as ever. "Got it, Onodera. I'd keep an eye on that as you said so."His tone's firm, trusting me to play it cool. No grass-snake rattling here.

We fall in behind Melissa, her pogo stick clicking against the polished floor as she leads the way. Izuku's still recovering, Himiko's smirking under my borrowed face, and I'm just hoping this costume pitch pans out, as if it doesn't, we're screwed when the real shit hits.

...

After we touch down and shuffle through the gleaming halls of I-Island, All Might wastes no time diving into a reunion with David Shield. The two of them light up like old war buddies, All Might's booming laugh echoing off the polished walls as he slaps David's back.

"Been too long, my friend!" he says, voice warm and gravelly, the kind of tone that makes you feel like you're intruding on something personal. David grins back, his eyes crinkling - tired but sharp, like a man who's seen too much but still loves the game. They're halfway into some nostalgic ramble when All Might pivots, waving us over with that larger-than-life energy.

"Come on, you three—meet an old pal of mine! This is David Shield. And David, these are Midoriya, Onodera, and Toga."

Izuku steps up first, practically vibrating with excitement, eyes wide as saucers. Before David can even get a word out, Izuku's off like a rocket. "Mr. Shield! You're the Nobel Peace Prize winner, right? All Might's former sidekick and the genius who designed every single one of his hero costumes! I've read about your work, your innovations in support tech are legendary!" His voice cracks a little, hands flailing as he spills his fanboy guts. David chuckles, a low, easy sound, rubbing the back of his neck like he's used to this but still a bit sheepish. "Well, kid, i think that you've done your homework. Nice to meet you, Midoriya."

Then David turns to me and Himiko - who's still sporting my appearance, courtesy of her Quirk. He gives us a polite nod, his gaze lingering a beat longer on her - two Ryugas side by side clearly throwing him off. "Onodera… and Toga, huh? Pleasure's mine. It's really hard to tell the two of you apart, Onodera and Toga..."" he says, voice smooth but curious. I catch the glint in his eye - he's sharp, probably already piecing something together.

Melissa jumps in before he can dig deeper, her voice bright and eager. "Dad, I was telling them - Toga got this amazing Quirk, but it's tricky with costumes. I thought maybe you could help figure something out for her?"

David's about to respond when his eyes flick to All Might - steam's wafting off the big guy, faint but unmistakable. His smile tightens, and he clears his throat. "Sounds like a project I'd enjoy, let's talk it over. But first…" He glances around, tone shifting to something firmer. "Mind giving us a minute, everyone? Old friends need a private word." He looks at Melissa, softening. "Why don't you take them on a tour of the expo? Show 'em what I-Island's got."

She nods, all business, and motions us to follow. "Come on, guys, let's go explore!"

I catch All Might's eye as we turn, he gives me a subtle nod, like he's already clocking my earlier warning.

...

We file out into a sleek, glass-lined hallway, Melissa leading the way with that bouncy energy of hers. The air's cooler here, buzzing with the hum of distant tech. Izuku's still buzzing from meeting David, and he turns to Melissa, scratching his head with a shy grin. "Uh, you can just call me Deku, if you want."

She tilts her head, pogo stick clacking against the floor as she walks. "Deku? That's… kinda weird for a nickname, isn't it?"

He blushes, fumbling. "W-Well, it's my hero codename too, so… yeah."

Her brows shoot up, a mix of amusement and confusion. "Wait, your hero name is Deku? Like, officially?" He nods, redder now, and she laughs - a light, teasing sound. "Okay, that's bold. I like it."

She swings her attention to me next, squinting playfully. "And you're…"

"You can call me Ryuga, or code name M for short."

As soon as she heard my codename, she suddenly looked strangely confused... "M ?? What's that all about?"

I shrug, keeping it casual. "Just two 'R's mashed together, fancy mirror trick. The R stands for Ryuga and Redux, and the M stands for my Quirk's name."

She smirks, muttering, "Weird flex, but okay," before zeroing in on Himiko - still me'd up.

"And you're…"

"Toga. Codename Doppelgänger," she replied, with an indescribable confident smile.

"So… you have some kind of transformation Quirk?"

Himiko grins - my grin, technically - sharp and sly. "Bingo. Pretty handy, right?"

Melissa's eyes spark. "Oh, that's cool. We've gotta get that costume sorted, and dad'll love this challenge so much!!"

We hit the main expo floor, and it's a goddamn spectacle. Pro Heroes from every corner of the globe strut around - Godzillo's massive frame looms in the crowd, scales glinting under the lights. Sponsors must've shelled out big to drag them here.

The place is alive, booths humming, screens flashing, voices overlapping. Melissa weaves us through it all, pointing out highlights.

"There's a big party tonight, are you guys planning to attend?" she asks, glancing back. Izuku perks up, then falters. "Oh... uh, maybe? All Might told us to bring formal stuff…"

I snort, leaning back. "Same." Guess that's why. My hero suit's a black tux anyway, sharp enough for a prom if you ignore the insane durability I had baked in.

Himiko nudges me, whispering, "You'll look hot either way, Ryuu-chan." I roll my eyes, but my lips twitch.
