Devil's Cry Canyon and the Impressive Greeting

Devil's Cry Canyon lived up to its name. On both sides were sheer, treacherous cliffs, eroded by wind and sand over centuries, creating bizarre shapes. The path in the middle was just wide enough for a train to pass through. It was a perfect ambush location.

Lam Minh stopped the Iron Horse at a safe distance, turned off the engine, and hid behind a large rock formation. He didn't rush in. A good hunter always observes his prey first.

He closed his eyes, and the spiritual sense of a Foundation Establishment cultivator spread out like an invisible net, covering the entire canyon.

"Heh, quite a nest," he smirked.

Within his spiritual sense, he could clearly "see" the enemy's entire layout.

On the two highest cliffs, about 20 Qi Refining Madakaros were hiding, equipped with energy sniper rifles and directional explosives. They were the fire support force, ready to attack the train from above.

Down in the canyon, there were about 30 more Qi Refining creatures, divided into small groups, hidden behind boulders. This was the direct assault force.

And in the center, in a shallow cave, were the three most powerful auras. One Mid-stage Foundation Establishment and two Early-stage Foundation Establishment creatures. They were the command unit, the key force of this ambush.

"A total of 53. One Mid-stage, two Early-stage, the rest are Qi Refining. A lavish buffet." Lam Minh assessed. "If I kill all of them, I should get at least 10,000 points. Still not enough for a breakthrough, but it's a big step forward."

He looked at his watch. The train would arrive in about 20 minutes. He didn't have much time.

"Alright, let's start with the appetizer."

He decided to deal with the Qi Refining creatures on the cliffs first. If they were allowed to open fire, although they couldn't destroy the armored train, they would cause significant damage to the cargo cars.

He got out of the vehicle, carrying no weapons other than his Blacklight dagger and the Thuan Thien sword, which was still disguised in the instrument case. He didn't plan to use Thuan Thien just yet; it was his final trump card.

He began to climb the cliff. With the strength of a Foundation Establishment cultivator, climbing a sheer cliff was like a walk in the park. He moved as lightly as a lizard, without a single sound.

The first Madakaros sentry was busy observing the distance, completely unaware that death was right behind it.

STAB!

The Blacklight dagger plunged deep into its nape. Lam Minh covered its mouth, not letting it make a single sound.

[Received 200 Immortality Points.]

"Hmm, Mid-stage Qi Refining. So little."

He continued to move. Like a ghost in the night, he silently approached and eliminated the sentries one by one. The assassination skills learned in his past life, combined with the superior strength of this life, turned him into a perfect killing machine.

In less than five minutes, more than ten Madakaros on one side of the cliff had been cleared out without anyone knowing.

Now, for the greeting.

Lam Minh stood on the top of the cliff, looking down at the entire enemy ambush formation below. He smiled, then did something no one expected.

He grabbed the corpse of a Madakaros, channeled qi into his hands, and then threw it forcefully towards the location of the command unit hiding in the cave.

The large corpse flew like a cannonball, creating a terrifying whistling sound.

BOOM!

The corpse slammed into the cave entrance, splattering everywhere.

The entire ambushing Madakaros force was startled. They looked at each other in confusion, not understanding what was happening.

The Mid-stage and two Early-stage creatures walked out of the cave, their faces filled with rage.

"WHAT'S GOING ON?" the commander roared through a psychic wave.

Just then, from the top of the opposite cliff, a lazy, teasing voice echoed down, amplified by the canyon's terrain.

"Hello, express delivery service here! Did you order one serving of 'comrade's corpse'? Free shipping!"

All the Madakaros' eyes turned to the top of the cliff. They saw a small figure standing there, waving at them in a friendly manner.

It was Lam Minh.

"WHO ARE YOU?" the Mid-stage Foundation Establishment creature roared, its killing intent billowing out.

"Me?" Lam Minh laughed loudly. "I'm the guy who's come to collect protection fees. If you want to set up an ambush on my territory, you have to pay the fee, right? The fee is cheap, just your lives will do."

A blatant and arrogant provocation.

"KILL HIM!" the commander roared in fury, ordering the soldiers on the cliff where Lam Minh was standing.

But not a single shot rang out.

An eerie silence fell. The commander realized something was wrong.

"You guys just figured it out? A little too late," Lam Minh sneered.

With that, he didn't just stand there anymore. He ran along the edge of the cliff and did something even crazier.

He used his bare hands to pry loose large boulders, weighing tons, that had been weathered and cracked, and pushed them down into the canyon.

RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

A terrifying man-made rockslide crashed down on the bewildered Madakaros below.

"GET OUT OF THE WAY!"

The Qi Refining creatures screamed in panic, scattering in all directions. But in the narrow canyon, where could they run? Dozens of them were crushed by the rocks, turned into minced meat.

Within minutes, the enemy's ambush formation had descended into chaos, with countless casualties.

Lam Minh's greeting, it could be said, was extremely impressive and... brutal.

He stood on the top of the cliff, looking down at his "handiwork," and dusted off his hands.

"The appetizer is finished. Now for the main course."

He looked towards the three Foundation Establishment creatures who were roaring in anger below. He took a breath and then leaped from the nearly hundred-meter-high cliff.

Like a falcon hunting its prey, he dove straight towards the three fattest targets.
