Konoha, Year 48 — The Night of October 10th

"Uuuaaaaahhh!!!"

A woman's agonizing scream echoed from deep within a shrine, located roughly ten miles outside Konoha Village.

Outside, under the moonlit sky, Namikaze Minato stood on edge. Beside him, leaning casually against a wooden beam, was Guts.

Inside, the voice of Tsunade barked out orders in urgency.

"Shizune! Get me hot water! Kurenai! Towels! Now, move!"

"Y-Yes, Sensei Tsunade!"

"I'm on it!"

Minato wiped the sweat off his brow with a trembling hand.

"Is this really okay? I've never heard Kushina scream like that before…"

Guts, arms folded, cracked a smirk.

"They say childbirth pain is on par with a man getting kicked full force in the 'golden eggs.' You can imagine."

Minato twitched at the vivid metaphor.

Despite the tension, all they could do was stand guard. With Kushina weakened during childbirth, it was the most dangerous time for the Nine Tails to break free.

Worse still, there were enemy nations constantly seeking an opportunity to snatch tailed beasts.

Kushina herself had once nearly been abducted by Cloud Shinobi.

Her screams continued, each one digging into Minato's nerves.

Then suddenly...

"Waaah! Waaaah!"

The piercing wail of a newborn filled the air.

Minato's eyes widened as he spun around, stunned.

"It's a boy!"

Tsunade's voice rang out.

For a long second, Minato stood frozen. Then he muttered, almost in disbelief

"I… I'm a father. I'm a father!"

But beside him, Guts narrowed his eyes. A faint red glow flickered behind his pupils, he'd seen a glimpse five seconds into the future.

His voice dropped into a low growl.

"Minato. Trouble's coming. Get ready."

Minato immediately stiffened, trusting Guts instincts without question.

Suddenly, about twenty meters ahead, space itself began to ripple and twist.

A black vortex spiraled open, growing wider. From within it, several figures stepped out.

A man in a black cloak and an orange spiral-patterned mask.

And behind him...six figures, each with spiky orange hair, strange piercings all over their faces, and black cloaks adorned with red clouds.

Obito. And the Six Paths of Pain.

"Space-time ninjutsu?"

Minato muttered, startled. He hadn't known there were others who could manipulate space like that.

Guts gaze changed when he saw the six figures.

'What the hell? This isn't how it went down in the anime. Pain wasn't supposed to be here…'

Obito raised a hand. "Move."

Deva Path Pain stepped forward and extended his palm.

"Almighty Push."

A wave of crushing force surged forward like a tsunami, warping the air and tearing through the earth.

Minato's eyes went wide.

"What is this power?!"

But before the shockwave could reach them, Guts had already moved. His right fist clenched, and he exploded forward like a bullet, meeting the wave head-on.

The moment his fist connected with the invisible force, the ground around them shattered from the sheer impact. Stone splinters burst into the air as two massive powers collided.

Far away, hidden within a concealed base, Nagato's eyes bulged as he watched through a chakra link.

"Impossible... He canceled Almighty Push with a single punch?!"

Back on the battlefield, Guts turned his head slightly and shouted:

"Minato! Stop standing there like a love-struck idiot! Go! Get to the shrine—NOW!"

He gestured urgently behind him.

Minato snapped out of his daze. Just as he turned to move, the masked man suddenly vanished.

"Damn it!"

Minato muttered and flashed into the shrine.

Inside, the scene was chaos.

Kushina lay exhausted on the table, her body trembling from the ordeal. Shizune and Kurenai stood protectively in front of her, though both bore minor injuries.

Blood dripped from Tsunade's arm as she faced down the masked intruder, her face pale but defiant.

And in the intruder's arms...was a crying baby.

A kunai pressed against the newborn's forehead.

"You bastard!"

Tsunade snapped, barely able to contain her rage.

She had underestimated him. His jutsu was too strange...before they could react, he had already bypassed their defenses.

"Don't move!"

The kunai hovered just inches from Naruto's tiny forehead as Obito snarled,

"If you don't want this newborn to head straight to the Pure Land… don't try anything stupid."

"Calm down!"

Minato shouted, his voice trembling with urgency and panic.

Obito gave a cold, mocking laugh beneath the orange mask. His tone was laced with madness and a chilling sense of authority:

"Namikaze Minato… if you want your son back, then come and get him."

In the blink of an eye, space distorted around Obito's right eye, warping like ripples on water.

And then...he vanished.

Taking baby Naruto with him.

"Minato! Go! Save Naruto!"

Kushina cried from the operating table, biting back her pain.

"I will!"

Minato nodded firmly, his blue eyes burning with resolve.

He turned to Tsunade.

"Lady Tsunade, please protect Kushina. I'm going after them!"

Without waiting for a reply, he disappeared with a flash, using his Flying Thunder God Technique to chase after Obito through space itself.

Outside the shrine, the Six Paths of Pain had already surrounded Guts.

Their emotionless eyes locked onto the lone warrior standing calmly among the fallen leaves.

"Guts. The Strongest Taijutsu User...I've heard of you," said Deva Path.

"It's an honor to meet a legend before sending him to the afterlife."

Guts narrowed his eyes, watching the so-called leader with an amused smirk.

"This weak-ass clown really thinks he's the final boss," he muttered under his breath, cracking his neck.

"They're not alive… I can feel it. The chakra flows from their eyes, not their hearts. Some kind of puppet technique… Interesting." Guts said outloud knowingly.

Pain's expression tightened. He hadn't expected this outsider to see through the Six Paths so quickly.

Guts tilted his head with a wide grin, eyes glinting with amusement.

"You do realize this is Konoha, right? You know where you are, who I am… and still you walk in here like you own the place. So tell me...where's that confidence coming from?"

There was a moment of silence before the Deva Path stepped forward, his tone cold and resolute.

"We are here… for peace."

But before Guts could reply, Pain launched the first attack.

Meanwhile, inside the shrine, Tsunade and the others realized the danger outside was escalating.

They quickly lifted Kushina onto a stretcher and prepared to move.

As they stepped out, Kurenai's eyes widened at the sight before her.

"Guts! Who the hell are they?!"

But there was no time to explain.

"Summoning Jutsu!!"

Animal Path slammed his palm into the earth.

A massive explosion of smoke followed, and out of the cloud emerged two enormous summoning beasts, a snarling two-headed hound and a grotesque bird with steel-like feathers.

They were monstrous in size, rivaling even the great toads and the gaint snake Manda.

Guts didn't even turn around. His voice was filled with confidence.

"Tsunade. Take Kushina and go. This just got a bit serious. I'll handle these freaks."

Tsunade hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

"Be careful. Don't die on us."

With that, she, Kurenai, and Shizune rushed toward Konoha with Kushina in tow.

But Animal Path wasn't letting them escape so easily.

With a chilling screech, the summoned bird dove toward the fleeing group, its sharp, curved beak gleaming with deadly intent.

"So you really think you can just ignore me, huh?"

Guts vanished in an instant, reappearing midair directly in front of the descending beast.

No fancy technique. No special power.

Just a fist.

And with it...

"KA-KRAAAKKK!!!"

The moment his knuckles connected, the beak shattered like brittle glass, followed by an explosive shockwave that sent wind blasting across the trees.

The monstrous bird howled in agony, spiraling out of control before crashing into the forest below in a heap of feathers and broken trees.
