At this time, everyone's eyes were focused on Alex Ray.

Alex had no intention of spoiling everyone's fun. After a moment of thought, he said seriously, "First of all, I don't take apprentices. Secondly, this requires the consent of the people involved."

He wasn't interested in the bet Deadpool had proposed—it just seemed like another one of Wade's shallow attempts at impressing women. Still, Alex was somewhat curious about Peter and Harry's strength, so he turned to the two of them, eyes filled with anticipation.

Everyone looked toward Peter and Harry with excitement, clearly eager to see a good show.

Tobey's version of Peter felt a twinge of disappointment upon hearing Alex's words.

He thought to himself, Sure enough, Master still doesn't acknowledge me. Is it because I'm too green, and he's worried I'll embarrass him?

But he quickly pulled himself together and silently resolved to work even harder to gain Alex's approval.

He looked at Alex with determination and declared, "No problem, Master. I can do it!"

Harry, on the other hand, was far less hesitant.

He didn't wait for Deadpool's push and decided to step up on his own.

Wanda, Tony, and the others watched the scene with great interest, clearly looking forward to the outcome.

Suddenly, Alex made a suggestion. "Wait a moment. Harry and Peter often spar with each other, and their strength is pretty similar. Why don't we have them each choose someone else here as their opponent? That way, they'll face different types of challengers. They can't always rely on fighting each other."

His words echoed in the room, sparking surprise and anticipation.

The proposal immediately caught everyone's attention. All eyes turned back to Alex, waiting to hear more.

Harry looked especially excited, a challenging glint in his eyes.

Tobey's Peter, however, scanned the room with worry before turning to Alex.

He was afraid he might accidentally hurt someone here. After all, the people present were all Alex's friends or family.

Alex seemed to notice Peter's concern. He smiled and reassured him, "Relax. There's no one here you could actually beat."

Everyone burst into laughter at Peter's expense.

Doctor Octopus, who knew Peter well, patted him on the shoulder and encouraged him. "Don't worry. Everyone here's tough. Just treat it as a learning opportunity!"

Peter's face flushed in embarrassment at having his inner thoughts seen through. He scratched his head and looked toward Harry.

Deadpool tilted his head and said, "How are we determining the winner? Everyone's got different strengths, so that's not fair. Or... are you scared of me, Alex?"

His words dripped with provocation, clearly unhappy with the arrangement.

Harry and Peter both turned to Alex, curious about the rules as well.

Alex replied calmly, "If you can beat your opponents, we'll see who does it faster. If neither of you can win, we'll see who lasts longer."

"And as for picking opponents? That's luck. And sometimes... luck is strength," Alex added with a faint smile.

"Alright, go ahead and pick your opponents," he said, gesturing toward the group.

Harry and Peter immediately began scanning the room, sizing everyone up.

The rest of Alex's friends and family watched with interest, curious to see who would be chosen.

As the two looked around, Deadpool predictably tried to cheat. He leaned toward Harry, ready to whisper who the weakest opponent might be.

But before he could say a word, Wanda summoned her chaos magic, flinging Deadpool against the wall and sealing his mouth shut.

All that could be heard was Wade's muffled whining as he struggled against the magical restraint. Clearly, he was not happy with Wanda's intervention.

This woman is way too intense! Deadpool fumed in his head. There's no way I'd ever bring someone like her home!

But his protests went unheard—Wanda's spell had silenced him completely.

Tobey's Peter studied the room carefully, evaluating Alex's companions one by one.

He first saw the Kingpin family chatting amongst themselves. He quickly dismissed that idea. "No way. That's Master's godfather. Just look at those muscles—he's not someone to mess with."

Then he glanced at the blind duo: Caine and Daredevil.

Again, he shook his head. I can't hurt disabled people. Even if I win, no one would respect me for it.

Even though they seemed physically limited, Peter knew better than to underestimate them.

He was a man of principle—unwilling to fight those with perceived disadvantages and even more unwilling to gain fame by doing so.

Next, his gaze landed on Wanda and Jessica Jones, both seated near Alex. That's the Master's wife... definitely a no-go. And even Harry's teacher got slammed by her. No way I'm taking on any girls either.

Just as he hesitated again, his eyes landed on a silver-haired man playing video games on the couch.

Earlier during dinner, he had learned that this man was Pietro—Wanda's younger brother.

Though a little older, Pietro looked energetic and carefree.

Peter's eyes lit up. He thought Pietro might just be the right match.

But before he could act, his best friend Harry had the same idea. Harry rushed over, patted Pietro on the shoulder, and turned to Alex, saying confidently, "I've already picked my opponent!"

Peter's face fell. He hadn't expected Harry to steal his choice. Disappointment welled up inside him.

What he didn't realize was how lucky he'd just gotten.

Alex blinked in surprise. He hadn't expected Harry to choose Pietro—and in that moment, he already knew how this match would end.

He gave Harry a reluctant reminder. "Are you sure you want Pietro as your opponent?"

Harry didn't hesitate. His eyes gleamed with confidence and eagerness.

He was already imagining himself displaying his prowess in battle, completely ignoring the pitying looks from those around him.

"I'm sure," he said firmly.

His voice radiated self-assurance, even as Deadpool, still stuck to the wall, let out a series of panicked, muffled groans—clearly trying to warn his student not to do this.

But Harry was too lost in his own heroic fantasy to notice.

Alex turned to Peter, curious who he'd choose now.

As long as Peter didn't pick someone outrageous, he'd likely win. There wasn't a single person here who could beat Pietro in a pure speed contest.

Alex looked at Harry, who stood there full of energy and excitement.

And he couldn't help but pity him.

Some people, Alex thought to himself, lose the game before it even starts.
