Chapter 138: Prepare Yourselves

Xiaofeng's words commanded renewed admiration from everyone present. Though his strategy was not meticulously detailed, it was undoubtedly precise and effective.

Yet, Rais voiced a lingering doubt, "I harbor some reservations. If we recruit from the lower sanctuaries, can we truly muster competent soldiers? Moreover, if we confront the Alliance troops, will these recruits even be willing to fight alongside us?"

Xiaofeng smiled gently and replied, "Those in the lower sanctuaries are on the brink of starvation, countless souls weary from the Alliance's oppression. Should they rise against the Alliance, they will undoubtedly rally to our cause. Additionally, we must strive to gather the free hunters, mercenary squads, even large mercenary corps—uniting these armed forces will swiftly amplify our strength."

Rais remained hesitant, "Your plan is admirable, yet…"

"Yet nothing," Xiaofeng interrupted firmly. "As long as we act, there will be gains. Let us divide the tasks: Uncle White, return to Sanctuary 64 and summon Turner and his men. Leader Rais, dispatch your people to recruit in each sanctuary. Rush, the Alliance soldiers here are now under your sway—I trust you can control them and transform them into a formidable force. As for me, I will contact Kelly immediately to arrange our weaponry. Now, everyone, prepare yourselves and accomplish the tasks at hand!" With that, Xiaofeng drained his glass and strode away.

No one opposed his command; instead, they saw the resolute spirit of a leader in his retreating figure.

They exchanged knowing smiles. "Very well, let us each attend to our duties."

Rais turned to White, "I'll have Brada drive you out. The rest of us will head to the nearest sanctuary to enlist recruits. Rush, these soldiers remain in your charge for now."

Rush chuckled lightly, "No worries. We all stand on the same battlefield. Handling these Alliance soldiers is far too simple. Yet Xiaofeng—the little devil—has truly impressed me. His future shines boundlessly. If only Jason possessed such talent."

With that, they dispersed to their respective tasks.

That night, a profound transformation engulfed Godo City. The residents, who never imagined the mercenaries stationed outside the city would seize the Alliance barracks, were gripped by mixed emotions—relief and dread.

Relief that the oppressive Alliance soldiers would no longer torment them.

Dread of the looming war. The city's gates, once lost, might doom its innocent inhabitants. Should battle erupt, they would be caught in the crossfire, and fleeing into the wild meant facing countless monstrous beasts—death almost certain. The city settled into a tense silence, each soul contemplating the uncertain days ahead.

After contacting Kelly and recounting the events, Xiaofeng was met with astonishment. Kelly's expression on the communicator's screen betrayed her shock. "You guys are unbelievably audacious—just a handful of you, yet you dared attack the Alliance barracks in Godo City… and against all odds, succeeded?"

Xiaofeng chuckled, "This is but the beginning. We have even greater plans and require weaponry."

Kelly smiled warmly, "You've come to the right person. Tell me, what kind of weapons do you need? How many?"

Casually, Xiaofeng replied, "First, equip us with weaponry sufficient for an entire army—arms surpassing even those of the Alliance legions."

Kelly froze momentarily. "Are you mad? An entire army's worth of arms?"

"Within eight hours, I want those weapons delivered to Godo City."

"Eight hours? You're underestimating the challenge."

The smile on Xiaofeng's face faded. "I'm serious. To you, we represent hope—a force that can rapidly evolve into a formidable fighting power and become a sharp blade against the Sam and Hilton companies for both the Brohm and Victoria corporations. Believe me."

Kelly was struck silent by his conviction. After a moment's thought, she replied, "Very well. Wait for my message—I will do my utmost to prepare it."

Xiaofeng nodded, "I'll await your word."

After ending the communication, Kelly strode directly into Hebrew's office without knocking. Looking up from his documents, Hebrew smiled kindly, "My dear, why such urgency?"

"Uncle, I have important news…" Kelly then relayed Xiaofeng's exploits in detail.

Hebrew laughed heartily, "I was right about this lad!"

Kelly added, "But he needs weapons."

"Give him whatever he asks for—however much he wants. Ha! We may very well come to rely on him in the future," Hebrew said gleefully.

"But he wants an entire army's equipment…"

Hebrew's expression remained unchanged, "What's an entire army's worth of arms? Even if it drains our entire warehouse stock, I'm willing. Now, Kelly, leave the rest to me. Connect me to this Xiaofeng—I want a word with him."

Kelly adjusted her golden bob and shook her head. "You're all mad…" Then she linked up with Xiaofeng.

When Xiaofeng appeared on the communicator screen, Hebrew, puffing on a cigar, grinned, "Xiaofeng, you've truly astonished me—seizing a city overnight!"

Xiaofeng replied modestly, "Thanks to Rush's aid, it wouldn't have been possible otherwise."

"Enough modesty. Now, you want an entire army's weaponry? When do you need it?" Hebrew cut to the chase.

"Eight hours is the longest I can wait."

"If the Alliance truly mobilizes a force to attack the city, it will take time. Eight hours is generous. Within five, I'll deliver the most advanced weaponry for an entire army."
