Farewell to Black Dragon

The two vehicles roared swiftly into a vast basin, dense with towering trees and heavy, humid air. Though it was midday, the stifling heat pressed down relentlessly.

Pandora and Tu Gou felt no discomfort in this oppressive temperature, but Xiao Feng, Rush, the Earl, and Gui Yao found it thoroughly unsettling.

The jeeps came to a halt beneath several massive trees, seeking concealment. Xiao Feng and the others disembarked; Xiao Feng immediately shed his shirt, revealing a sculpted, muscular torso slick with sweat. Gui Yao, too, stood bare-chested.

Yet compared to Xiao Feng's formidable physique, Gui Yao's frame seemed almost unworthy of direct comparison.

The Earl and Rush kept their clothes on—Rush, in particular, mindful of his advancing years.

Pandora cast a sly glance at Xiao Feng's exposed upper body, a peculiar sensation stirring within her. His physique wielded undeniable allure to any woman—though, as a machine herself, her reaction was curiously incongruous.

In the jungle's embrace, the Earl spoke gravely to Xiao Feng: "I've only encountered Black Dragon here once. I don't know if he's still around. Be cautious—if you fail, it won't just be you who suffers. Black Dragon won't spare me either once he's done with you."

Xiao Feng, bare-backed and bearing the Black Angel rifle, his cropped hair framing a taut, chiseled form clad in black combat pants and boots, looked every bit the cool warrior. His voice was cold steel: "If I see Black Dragon this time, I swear I'll devour him alive. Damn it... Rush, Tu Gou, Pandora—none of you will let him escape."

Rush nodded solemnly, touched deeply by Xiao Feng's resolve and his bond with Ivy.

The Earl led the group deeper into the jungle. Xiao Feng and Pandora strode ahead, Gui Yao and Rush guarded the middle, with Tu Gou bringing up the rear—careful but swift.

Pandora activated her reconnaissance system, sweeping several kilometers around them. Her vision flooded with myriad images, a capability unmatched even by Tu Gou.

After several minutes, Pandora announced, "At ten o'clock, there's a Class B demon beast. And it's surrounded by many humans."

The Earl peered toward the indicated direction. "That must be it."

Xiao Feng frowned. "Is Black Dragon nearby?"

Pandora shook her head. "I can't see clearly. The satellite signals don't penetrate the dense forest."

"Understood. Pandora, take out that Class B demon beast. The rest is ours to handle."

"Got it," Pandora replied, veering off to flank the target.

Xiao Feng and Tu Gou moved swiftly forward. Tu Gou's armor plate slid open, dozens of miniature missiles locking into firing mode.

Cradling the Black Angel, Xiao Feng advanced toward the gathering.

Gui Yao followed closely behind, Rush trailed with hands stuffed into his pockets.

Within moments, Xiao Feng spotted a dozen robed figures seated around a massive banyan tree's table, deep in discussion. A colossal lizard, wings folded, stood silently nearby, its eerie eyes scanning the surroundings.

Xiao Feng scrutinized the cultists through Black Angel's sniper scope, zooming in on each face until his gaze fixed on one in particular.

His brow furrowed deeply—no matter the years, he could never forget that face. Despite the golden tattoos etched by Black Dragon's claws across it, recognition was immediate.

Though desperate to confront this bastard, seeing him here in this remote wilderness rendered Xiao Feng momentarily speechless.

Without hesitation, he squeezed the trigger. A thunderous volley erupted—three Black Angel rounds spiraled toward Black Dragon.

Xiao Feng didn't waste words or warnings; he refused to let this fiend slip away.

The sudden assault stunned everyone.

The bullets struck with surgical precision against Black Dragon's skull—ding ding ding—sparks flew, but the mighty rounds only left three shallow scars. Black Dragon's fierce gaze locked on the dense jungle opposite.

He bellowed, "Don't let anyone inside escape! Kill them all!"

At that moment, Black Dragon was oblivious to the fact that Xiao Feng and his group lurked within the jungle. Otherwise, he wouldn't have issued such an order.

The cultists surged from the forest toward Xiao Feng's position.

Suddenly, Tu Gou burst forth from the trees, bowing low as he launched his miniature missiles from his back.

The missiles wavered midair, then homed in relentlessly, striking their targets with unerring accuracy.

Black Dragon's eyes froze in shock the moment Tu Gou appeared—how could he not recognize him?

For a stunned few seconds, the cultists were blown away by the explosions. Yet, to Tu Gou, Rush, and Gui Yao's astonishment, the cultists quickly scrambled back to their feet, unharmed.

Xiao Feng watched this baffling spectacle, scowling with frustration. "Damn it... cursed…"

From his back, he drew a bullet marked with a radiation symbol, loading it into the Black Angel's chamber.

Without hesitation, he took aim and fired. Of the three bullets discharged, only one carried the nuclear payload.

If that round struck Black Dragon, not even a god could survive its lethal radiance.

Suddenly, a figure leapt into the blast radius. All three rounds struck his body, followed by a deafening explosion.

A tiny mushroom cloud blossomed as the shockwave hurled the cultists once more.

Rush materialized at Xiao Feng's side, grabbing his arm as he reached for another shot. "Xiao Feng, what are you doing?"

"Don't stop me—I'm going to kill Black Dragon."

"No! None of us have protective gear. Do you want to get irradiated?"

Xiao Feng paused, perplexed. "Then what should I do?"

"Don't worry. I'll go after Black Dragon. You handle these cultists."

With that, Rush charged back into the fray.
