Xiaofeng encased Yuan's body in ice, freezing him solid. "Do you know why I've revealed so many of my abilities to you? Heh. It's simply to show that no matter how formidable your Seven Gods or Seven Kill may be, to me, you are all weak—your entire Alliance army included. I shall lead the X Legion to utterly crush you."
Yuan sneered coldly at Xiaofeng. "What use are your powers? Do you feel invincible wielding them? You're mistaken. There's one stronger than you—heh—we just found him. With him, we'll recruit even mightier psychics. Soon, we will forge our own army of super-powered beings. Your X Legion will crumble like dust."
Xiaofeng's brow furrowed at Yuan's words. "Who is this person?" Then memories of Jack's overwhelming power surged to mind—his combat prowess surpassing even Satan's. This meant Jack's psychic ability had evolved. Xiaofeng's thoughts raced: perhaps this new psychic's power accelerates the evolution of others' abilities.
As Xiaofeng hesitated, Yuan's form suddenly blurred and slipped from his icy grasp. Solidifying again, Yuan swung his blade fiercely toward Xiaofeng. Xiaofeng, seeing no chance to dodge, suddenly felt a figure appear behind him, delivering a powerful kick to Yuan's chest—Qin Tian had arrived.
"What are you thinking? No mercy against them," Qin Tian urged.
Snapped back to focus, Xiaofeng charged Yuan. Nearby, Yezi and Pandora clashed fiercely. Though Yezi's speed was remarkable, Pandora's combat was bolstered by her battle-assist systems, making their power nearly equal—an evenly matched duel, fraught with tension.
If their powers were nearly equal, Yezi's combat strength approached that of a tenth-level psychic.
While not impossible, such an advancement from eighth or ninth level was extraordinary—her ability must be immense.
The more Xiaofeng pondered, the more terrifying it seemed: if this one could evolve ordinary humans into psychics, the threat was unfathomable.
Xiaofeng once again seized the solidified Yuan, sparing no mercy. A torrent of water spiraled forth, swiftly enveloping him. As Xiaofeng fought Yuan earlier, he had been drawing moisture from the air, conjuring a stream that now imprisoned Yuan, who even with his vaporization ability could not escape the binding grip.
Still uneasy, Xiaofeng commandeered the wreckage of the helicopter Tugou had destroyed, wrapping Yuan mercilessly in its shattered metal.
Meanwhile, Yezi, darting past Pandora, caught sight of her brother's capture and cried out, "Let go of my brother!" Breaking free, she surged toward Xiaofeng.
In her desperation, Yezi seemed to forget her vaporization power. Xiaofeng evaded her blade and, with a swift, practiced motion, seized her wrist. Executing a flawless judo throw, he slammed her onto the ground, twisting her arm behind her back.
Then, to the shock of all, Xiaofeng bit fiercely into Yezi's neck, drawing her blood.
Yezi froze in stunned disbelief, unprepared for such audacity and the sharp sting of pain. Suddenly, her body vaporized, freeing her from his grasp, though Xiaofeng had already tasted her blood.
Standing aside, Yezi stared in amazement at the blood on Xiaofeng's lips. "Are you insane? How dare you bite someone?"
Tugou, aware of Xiaofeng's unique powers, understood—Xiaofeng had acquired yet another, or perhaps several new abilities.
After a violent tremor, Xiaofeng's body calmed. Sweat beaded coldly on his brow as he smiled wryly at Yezi. "Apologies. The Seven Kill can vanish from this Earth now."
Yezi's eyes widened. "What do you mean? You—" Before she could finish, her blade slashed toward Xiaofeng again.
Yet with a sharp snap, Xiaofeng's hand manifested an identical black blade, parrying hers.
Jack, Yezi, Giant, Qin Tian, and Pandora all stared in astonishment—Xiaofeng wielded a black sword indistinguishable from Yezi's.
"How is this possible?" Yezi demanded.
Xiaofeng chuckled, "Why can only you possess such powers? This black ability is remarkable. Now, will you surrender?"
Yezi, overwhelmed and unarmed in this new contest, was at a loss. Without this power, Xiaofeng was already a formidable opponent; now, wielding this black ability, his threat was unimaginable.
Determined, Yezi furrowed her brows and charged again, resolved to strike at Xiaofeng even if it cost her life.
But suddenly, Xiaofeng's right hand surged forward, emitting a brilliant green light that engulfed Yezi.
Caught off guard, Yezi was struck by the radiant glow. Her body shuddered and halted; her black blade rapidly dissolved. She felt her body change, realizing vaporization was now impossible.
Jack watched in astonishment as Yezi transformed, whispering, "That was the Envoy's purifying power Xiaofeng used."
Giant shook his head. "I don't know. I've never seen the Envoy, so how could I know his powers?"
At that moment, Xiaofeng approached Jack and Giant, instructing, "Recombine him."
Giant responded, "Understood." Grasping Jack's separated halves, he fused them seamlessly, positioning Jack before Xiaofeng.
Jack felt a foreboding chill as his body merged, his form flickering and momentarily vanishing.
Yet such deceit did little to faze Xiaofeng. With psychic control, he maintained dominion over Jack's presence, while a green light shone upon Jack's not-yet-fully-formed body.
