Doctor: "Indeed, the result shows no pregnancy."
Nadi's eyes snapped open, her pupils shrinking as they blazed with an intense focus, unblinking as she locked her gaze onto the doctor.
Not pregnant?
How could that be possible?
She had taken nearly a dozen pregnancy tests, each one displaying two distinct red lines.
She was absolutely certain she was pregnant, so why was the doctor lying?
Adi narrowed his eyes at the doctor. "You are well aware of the consequences should you deceive me."
The doctor replied earnestly, "Mr. Rahman, I would never dare to deceive you. If you remain unconvinced, you may seek testing at another hospital. Alternatively, my colleague can conduct another test if you wish."
Adi decided without hesitation. "Test again."
Yet after retesting, the outcome remained unchanged. Nadi still wasn't pregnant.
