Not going to lie i can't continue to read this. I'm only on chapter 2 but the grammar is bad and switching pov with no warning or clear line is confusing you start chapter 2 in 1st person then change to 3rd in the second paragraph, this is before you started calling the mc chestnut even tho you gave us his first and last name one paragraph he is Arthur next it's chestnut. This is my only problem might pick it up again in future if it gets rewrote. Sorry if this is not your first language author but if it is I'm not sorry.
Most of it isnt understandable cuz of the bad grammar. Maybe it’s a tl but i can’t continue this
Try editing the chapter again and check the names and can you change the dialogue or monologue ,it is confusing
