Evans' house.

Arthur sat on the internet at his computer. The brown-haired man was looking at the pictures and videos he had managed to take. Everything had a few hundred thousand likes each.

«People love heroes... - he said.

Then he noticed a private message and opened it. Evans rubbed his eyes, then looked at the person who sent it. It was sent by Daley Bogle.

«So... Dear Saiba-chin, I'm J. Jonah Jameson would like to hire you as a photographer, if you agree, then come to the main publishing house at 15:00... We'll discuss terms, plus bring any photos you haven't posted yet - Arthur read, then took out and put on his thin-framed glasses. - Yeah, I guess it's not bullshit....

He took off his glasses, after which he walked over to the cupboard and opened it. Evans opened a small locker and took out some photographs. They had him as Spectre, the villains he was fighting, and some random photos of heroes.

«I was just passing through," Arthur said, looking at the photo of the Hulk smashing Hydra robots.

The hiker stuffed all the photos into a bag and took it with him, heading for the exit. He went down to the ground floor.

«Arthur, where are you going? - Aria asked from the kitchen, and Laura popped her head out of the hall. She was dressed in a white t-shirt with a red 'Rocket' sign on it, blue jeans with a belt and sneakers.

«М? Well, let's just say that Daley Bogle was interested in me," Evans smiled.

«What? - Miss Evans and Kinney asked.

«Not in the way you might think, just that their boss is interested in the pictures I'm taking of the heroes," Arthur grinned.

«Oh, I see," said Aria, returning to the kitchen.

«What are the pictures? - Laura asked.

The brown-haired man took one picture out of his bag and held it out. It showed him as Spectre flying around the city.

«Wow... Quality - she said.

«I know, and I hope to get good money for them," Evans smiled.

«Did you know that greed and covetousness are two deadly sins? - Laura asked.

«Yes, I know, but greed and avarice are when you go above principles for money, and for me principles are above some miserable pieces of paper," said Arthur, and then he went out. - I'm gone! - he replied, closing the door.

Laura exhaled, and then a coffee can flew at her.

«Why are you standing there, or have you forgotten your mission?! - Aria asked, picking up the frying pan.

Kinney just quickly grabbed her jacket and ran out the door, slamming it shut.

Arthur was walking towards the city.

«Arthur! - The brown-haired man turned and saw Laura catching up with him. - Can I come with you?

«Okay, let's go, sis," Evans replied.Kinney smiled and walked with him.

***

Arthur and Laura arrived at the main office of the Daily Bugle. The brown-haired man whistled, then snapped a picture on his phone.

«Stay here, I'll go myself - Evans said.

«Okay - she stood against the wall.

The paratrooper on the other hand entered the building.

***

As soon as Arthur entered the building, he started looking for a place to go with his eyes.

«Excuse me, can you tell me where the editor-in-chief's office is? - Evans asked an African-American man.

He was a man with a short dark haircut, tall and well-built. He was dressed in an orange short-sleeved shirt with a white tie around his neck, grey trousers with a belt and shoes.

«What do you need it for, boy? - asked the man.

«I was called here on my legal day off to offer a job," Evans replied.

«Are you the photographer of Saiba-chin characters? - he asked.

«That's right, I've got a photo here," said Arthur.

«Well, let me take you to the door, my name is Joseph Robertson, you can just call me Joseph - the dark-haired man extended his hand.

«Nice to meet you, I'm Arthur Evans, you can just call me Arthur - the brown-haired man shook his hand.

«Okay, let's go," he headed for the lift.

Evans followed him.

***

Arthur and Joseph stepped out of the lift and immediately found themselves in the midst of the working atmosphere.

«Joseph, will you bring the material soon? I've got some editing to do," asked a dark-haired man with a small bald spot on top, light wrinkled skin and glasses. He was wearing a white sleeveless shirt with a black tie, black trousers with a belt and shoes.

«Sorry, Jason, I'll get it for you," Joseph replied.

«Joseph, I hope the offer about the bar after work still stands. - Another man with blond hair, fair skin and blue eyes asked. He was dressed in a business suit.

«Yes, of course," Robertson replied.

Chestnut, on the other hand, was looking around, distracted by arguments and swearing. At one point he ducked, dodging a stack of papers.

«Hoffman! I'll have you fired! Bring me the real stuff! - shouted a familiar JJ.

Arthur looked at Joseph.

«It's his daily routine, if you work at it, you'll get used to it, Robertson replied.

«Yeah, well... - Evans said.

The brown-haired man walked over to the office, pulling out an improvised white flag. Joseph, on the other hand, gave him a questioning look.

«Don't throw, I'm coming in," he waved the flag and then stuck his head out.

«What kind of joke is this? - asked Jay, who was sitting there smoking a cigar.

«No, I just got hit in the head by a stack of your papers," Evans said, pointing to the stack. - So I'm waving the white flag, saying don't hit me, it's not my fault.

«Oh, how... Well, well, sit down if you're here, by the way, who are you? - Jameson asked, putting his cigar in the ashtray.

«Did you send me an e-mail to come by 15:00, or do I have to go back home and it's a joke? - Arthur asked.

«Ah, no, sit down, Saiba-chin, or whatever your name is.... - Jay pointed to a chair.

«Thank you... - Evans sat down in the indicated seat, hugging his rucksack. - And my name is Arthur Evans.

«All right, Evans, have you got the pictures? - he asked.

«Yeah, sure - the brown-haired man opened his backpack and took out a stack of photos and spread them out.

There were about forty photos in total.

«So... That's good. That's good. This is crap. That's okay. That's not bad either. All in all, five hundred for the whole thing, Jay said.

«Yeah, for that kind of money, I'd better go sell them to the other papers - Evans started putting the photos back in his bag.

«Wait, wait," Daily Bugle's editor-in-chief grabbed him by the wrist. - All right, let's make a deal.

«Well, how much do you want to give me for one photo? - Arthur asked.

JJ hesitated.

«A hundred for a photo.

«No, two hundred for a picture with a hero, four hundred with two heroes, and three hundred with a hero fighting a villain," Evans replied. - Otherwise, I'll go to another publisher, and you won't find such high-quality photos anywhere.

«This is a rip-off! - Jay shouted. - I agree.

Arthur smiled broadly.

«Let's see how much it's worth... - Jameson pulled out a calculator and started counting. - I'll take it all.

«Well, if I've done the math right, that's $10,100," Arthur said, and JJ clutched at his heart. - But just so your wallet isn't completely empty ... I'll give you a 15 per cent discount.

«30, said the editor-in-chief.

«20, or I'm out of here,'' said Evans.

«I'll take it. - Jameson put his hand on his head. - Go to the accounting department... I'll be right there... If there are any new photos, come back. Also, go get a badge from HR, I'll make the arrangements. Leave your co-ordinates, so they can call me if anything happens.

«Yes, Chief. Arthur saluted.

After that, he headed in the direction indicated.

***

Arthur came to the accounting department and received the money, which he began to count.

«What did you get such money for...? - asked the head accountant.

«Payment for my favourite business - answered Evans, taking another bundle of money. - Anyway, there is 8,080?

«Well, yes, twenty notes, there's a machine, count it - she answered.

The brown-haired man looked at the bundles and then quickly flipped through them.- Okay, I believe it - he put the money in his bag and walked towards the exit.

«I forgot my nametag - she tossed him a nametag with his name on it.

Evans caught it without turning round.

«Thank you - he put it back in his bag and continued walking.

***

Laura stood waiting for Arthur, playing on her phone. At one point he came out, hugging his rucksack.

«Oh Arthur, did you get the job? - Kinney asked, looking at him.

«'Got it, got it, and the advance too,' replied Evans quietly. - Let's go.

Laura shrugged, and then they walked towards the house.

***

Arthur stood in the middle of his room, looking for a place to hide the money. He put it on the top shelf of the wardrobe under his cowboy hat. After that, Evans sat down on his bed and lay down.

«Well, we'll wait," the brown-haired man said, closing his eyes.

To be continued...
