So... We're Roommates Now?

Chapter 4

So… We're Roommates Now?

Aeris grabbed more food, finally stopping and sitting on the sofa. "Why don't you have a table?" "Because I'm broke, that's why." Aeris looked at him, her face becoming sour. She gave a little chuckle, then burst into laughter. Shiro, surprised by this behavior, said in a pissed tone, "YOU THINK THAT'S FUNNY? YOU LITTLE SHIT!"

Shiro's face turned red out of frustration. As this woman jumped at Aeris, her face darkened seeing Shiro leap in her direction. Shiro kicked her in the stomach. "HOW DOES THIS FEEL?" Aeris, having had enough, grabbed Shiro by the leg, smiling, pulled him to her, and punched him in the face.

Shiro looked at her with anger, grabbing her arm. He pulled her closer to him, wrapping his arm around her neck and putting Aeris in a headlock. "HOW'S THIS?" Aeris looked at him with a subtle smile, her face turning pale. "This is NOTHING!" Aeris began to bite his arm like a wild animal. Shiro, yelling in pain, started to bite the back of her head.

Tossing each other across the room and hitting each other, Shiro lost the trade-off and got slammed into the door, breaking it. Both of them fell to the ground. Aeris, who was laying on top of Shiro, had their hands locked. They both started to laugh. "I won," Shiro quoted. Aeris disagreed.

Aeris turned her head, then her face paled. Sweat ran down her face. Shiro, noticing her expression, looked in the same direction she was looking, and his face also turned pale.

A girl with brown hair and green eyes, holding a bag of snacks, was Aeris's friend. Her friend, seeing her on top of a commoner, thought it was a bad look. "This is not what it looks like!" Aeris yelled. She took her friend inside the room, giving Shiro a side-eye, and left him on the ground.

Shiro finally got up and looked back at his room; it was destroyed. This looked really bad, Shiro said to himself. He reported the incident and had to move in with someone else since nobody wanted to fix the room of a commoner.

Waking up in the morning after a long night hanging out with her friend, Aeris looked in the mirror, seeing her blue hair all over the place. "Man, it's a mess." Taking a quick shower and grabbing a brush, she started to fix her hair. Finishing her routine, she put on house clothes: pink sweats with cartoon bears all over them, matching with her shirt. She thought about what happened with Shiro and blushed a little, rubbing the thoughts away. She sat on the sofa, watching TV for a couple of minutes. Then suddenly, she heard knocking at the door. Quickly getting up, she yelled, "Coming!" The knocking didn't stop. "WAIT!" she yelled, slowly getting pissed off. Opening the door, her face darkened, showing pure regret.

"Hey again," said a tall boy with brown curly hair and dark eyes, wearing black sweats and a white shirt. He was cute, not ugly, but why was he here?

"What do you want?" Aeris said in a confused manner. "Well, you know what happened yesterday? Since my whole room is destroyed, I'll have to stay with you."

Shiro's face was pale. He was scared to tell her the truth. "What!?" Aeris's face was dumbfounded, thinking about living with a commoner, let alone a male. Her eyes widened. "NO!" Great anger showed on her face. Shiro, who was already fed up, said in an angered tone, "Well, you can't just say no, you dumb legacy brat!" "What did you say!?" Aeris's face was already turning red. "Not now," Shiro said, stepping aside her and walking into her room. Aeris, surprised by his actions, decided not to do anything about it since she didn't want to ruin her room.

"How come your room is so big?" Shiro was jealous of it. "Because I'm a legacy; we get benefits." Shiro never wanted to be a legacy more than today. "Where can I put my stuff?" "Just put it in the storage area for now." Dropping it off, Shiro sat on the sofa, watching TV. "So you're just going to act like you've been here already?" Aeris's face was full of irritation. "That's what you did," Shiro replied, a slight grin on his face. Aeris, clearly pissed off, decided to sit next to him on the sofa.

"So will I sleep here?" Shiro asked. "Obviously, you're not sleeping in my room." Shiro envied her area since she even had her own room. Aeris thought of a way to get her revenge and getting closer to his face asked, "Want to go train before the day starts? I mean, we don't have any classes," her face lit up, wanting to see how he fights.

Shiro agreed. "Don't we need to get ready since the training room is pretty far?"

"We have a training room in our dorms, don't you?" Shiro's face was full of shock, realizing how low of a rank they put him. He walked to another room with a spell circle on the floor.

Both of them were summoned to a place; it was a white room. On the walls of the white room, there were many weapons to choose from. Shiro picked up a katana, and saw Aeris summon two revolvers from thin air. Their base color was silver, with lines of blue running across the guns. The cylinder of the guns was light blue, and under the barrels was a long, sharp knife.

Aeris, holding both of the guns near her face, got ready. Shiro got into his stance. At the top of the white room, a countdown was visible: 3, 2, 1, GO! Shiro put all his power into his legs and dashed, flowing through the air, a smile on his face.

Aeris, surprised by his quick actions, lifted her revolvers and shot two ice bullets. Shiro noticed them; he dodged the first one and deflected the second. Jumping into the air, he slammed his katana at Aeris. Aeris blocked the sword with the knife. Shiro jumped back and landed on the ground, deciding to use something he hadn't possessed in years.

The power of the god that chose him. Aeris sensed a faint rage start to arise from his body. Aiming her gun toward him, she shot at him; her bullet got reflected and shot back at her. She dodged her own bullet, her face paling.

Shiro, who released a reflect bubble just in time, thanked the god. "You're welcome," a soft male voice appeared in his head. Shiro ran toward Aeris; he jumped up, and multiple bubbles appeared from his back, shooting toward her. Shiro smiled as the bubbles fell on Aeris, all of them popping. Her face went from pale to a smile; the bubbles only stung a little. "Is that all?" Aeris started to laugh, but soon the laughter faded.

Aeris detected a person to her right side; she shot in that direction. Nothing happened. Looking to the left, she saw a sword flying upward toward her.

Parrying the strike with one gun, she shot at his face with the other. Shiro barely dodged it. Being too close to Aeris, he slammed the katana into the ground, catching her by surprise. He tightened his grip on the hilt.

Shiro lifted his body upward, swinging it, and then shot his legs at Aeris, striking her in the chest.

Being sent back, Aeris shot at him. Shiro deflected most of the bullets; two passed his sword, damaging his legs. Aeris stacked it with a spear of ice flying toward him. Shiro dodged it; while in the air, he grabbed the spear. "COLD!" he yelled out. A subtle smile appeared on Aeris's face, wanting to laugh. Grabbing the spear, Shiro tossed it toward Aeris. She shot the spear, destroying it and sending hundreds of bubbles fluttering into Aeris's face, catching her off guard. Shiro appeared behind her, his katana already at her throat.

"Don't move," he said in a deep voice. Aeris, smiling, looked at him. "Just how weak do you think I am?" Summoning ice all around her, Shiro backstepped. Without looking, Aeris shot behind her, hitting Shiro's arm. Shiro, shocked by this, saw Aeris turn around and smile at him.
