I sighed, pushing my glasses up my nose. "I know."
"Liam, on the other hand," Seraphina continued, a mischievous smile playing on her lips, "is practically perfect. He's smart, handsome, athletic—and he clearly cares about you."
Debra nodded enthusiastically on my other side. "Plus, did you see how he stood up to Rhys yesterday? That takes serious guts."
I couldn't deny that. The memory of Liam standing beside me during my confrontation with Rhys was still fresh in my mind. The way he'd placed himself protectively near me, challenging the future Alpha of Silver Moon Pack... it was brave. Stupid, maybe, but brave.
